  1. He said it is not a bug, it is intended. You can take synthweaving and make the best gear for yourself, then switch. No one is stopping you. If everyone ends up as Biochem, so be it.
  2. Thanks Guys been fun. See you all in game tomorrow. /me going to pass out
  3. The way it is done now, there is no choice. The way you describe, we would all buy the game the same day. Duh?
  4. If I was playing right now, I probably wouldn't be typing here, but I still hate this launch. I hate every head start launch, but this staggered launch is a lot worse. MMO's are about competition, remember there is no end-game, only the false end-game we provide ourselves in beating our neighbour or setting our own goals. Bioware is giving some people a head start, they win the first round because I couldnt even compete. Cata was just the last expansion. I remember Warcraft launch as well. Two days of server crashes and constant loot lag, but at least I was in game. When the server went down, it went down for everyone. We were mad at Blizzard, but we were mad at Blizzard together. Look at these forums, there are two types of fans atm. Those that are playing and love Bioware and others that are playing. Also, those that are not playing and hate Bioware and hate those others playing. With crossovers of course. The reason I bring up Cata is because it was successful and it is what SWTOR could have been. Bioware should have did a better stress test or added more shards, instead they alienate a great portion of their customers while rewarding a small portion. Yes, yes, pre-order sooner. You really think that is a justification for not providing a solid launch? Many other mmo's did recently such as LOTRO, AION (although it was overseas for a while), Warhammer wasnt bad (but game was released too early), EQ2, AoC was ok, and all of warcrafts expansions (which is worth mentioning because of their subscriber amount). If all these games can do it, why can't SWTOR? ps. I don't really care, just don't understand all the fanboyism when this staggered release DOES NOT benefit the gamers. It was only a lazy way for Bioware to launch their game instead of doing it properly like every other MMO.
  5. I was able to log into Cata within 20 mins as well as many others who were dc'd or logged off on purpose. I would love to play SWTOR in 20 mins. SWTOR has had 6 years. The technology doesn't change just because Warcraft has been out longer. Bioware has access to the same hardware Blizzard does and even has in place the ability to separate the server into different map shards to allow A LOT more people on each server.
  6. Oh yes. Pre-order and I will give you up to 5 days access. JUST KIDDING, you only get 3 hours. And you are OK with that? I understand the need to be a fanboy for something you are excited about, but you are taking it too far. Anyone stop to think why they increased it to 7 days? It wasn't for our benefit. It was because they have hardware that cannot handle the players and needed two more days. Does that not worry anyone else or are we all just blindly hoping the problem corrects itself before we all hit 50 and try some world pvp?
  7. Did you play Cata? Was fine after 20 mins when Blizzard did a no server restart to introduce cata. Wasn't their fault a million people hammered their login server. SWTOR has had just as long to get servers working. You think that they waited for game to be finished and then just decided to start working on hardware last week? They have had a million pre-orders since July and still had a lousy launch.
  8. Exactly. This extra time is no special thing Bioware is giving us. We bought this time by giving them expected future sales.
  9. LMAO! Yeah, did the Amazon rep sit you down with their lawyer and go through that 18 page document with you too? My quote had nothing to do with anything you said. Good job though. Making my job easier. Think THEN write. ps. im drunk, but still sexy
  10. Did you really just say that? Think about it logically. You can level your character today and it will never be reduced for its lifespan. What you do on your respective server will always remain for the remainder of its life (as in gold/materials obtained). The game is out. People are playing. Get with it.
  11. The game is out. What people do today will affect the servers for the remainder of their lives. They call it early access, not free time. I repeat, the game is out.
  12. Blizzard waited too long to offer digital downloads, most people had pre-ordered at brick and mortar stores that most likely did not bother passing that info on to Blizzard. They sold 3.3 million copies the first day. Most were probably midnight releases, come on, the only worse fanboys than Bioware are Blizzard fanboys
  13. Could you link to one that is 1000 pages long? or has such a large proportion of its customers upset? There was a small percentage of people experiencing login issues and the only reason it happened is because Blizzard did not take down the servers for Cata launch. The clock hit midnight and millions of people hammered the login server to load Cata. Most of those people were in within 10 mins. SWTOR has been out officially for 19 hours(?) and I still can't play.
