  1. So please forgive me if it's already been asked, I did a couple quick searches, and didn't see anything, but I could have easily missed it. What are the thoughts, on keeping the old 2 piece set bonus for the extra 5% shielding vs. picking up the new 6 piece for the extra stacks and duration?
  2. yeah this fight is broken, instead of using the escape pod, she's attacking it, using all her abilities and eventually she enrages and she wipes everyone.
  3. Dear BioWare, Meet Salami http://i.imgur.com/fM6CLAs.jpg As you can probably tell, he is a level 55 Base Class Trooper, he also looks fabulous and is very comfortable with his body. With 3.0 on the horizon and the implementation of Disciplines, I think you have a perfect opportunity to create a new Title, "The Undisciplined" given to characters that level to 60 in their base class. Finally, I would like to share with you the jubilation Salami expressed upon reaching level 55... http://gfycat.com/IncompletePoliticalCaribou
  4. Maybe I'm wrong but ever since the Flyby nerf Hybrid has been under Full DF on single target sustained especially. With the recent change to the double proccing relics, 35-3600 for Full DF in 180 gear level is probably exactly where you should be on average so I don't think where you are is a problem. As far as having under the required raid damage on Draxus, I don't really know exactly where your group is having trouble, but our guild also started having more trouble with Draxus after the NiM buff was removed. It turns out that the Guardians (wave 7 & 9) actually have about 50% more health than before, somewhere around 300k instead of 200k HP. So this could have the illusion of making the DPS requirements seem higher.
  5. Pretty much in-line with what I was expecting, unfortunately.
  6. So, I'm lazy and haven't been following the PTS testing, what's the verdict on how the heal/damage proccing relic fix is going to change our DPS?
  7. What's the point of the /pbj emote? Oh right, I forgot about the deity of Peanut Butter and Jelly in Star Wars.
  8. As seen at the end of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKBYlrvx8gY#t=108 Make it happen.

  10. Awesome, thanks for the insight, the Op IX adds hadn't even crossed my mind. Good to learn something new everyday.
  11. Question about the skill tree, why take Diversion when it can't be used on Ops bosses? Although I suppose it could be useful for certain adds or something? Also in an Ops environment, why take Kneecappin'? Later on you state that if a Guardian or Commando is already providing an Armor Debuff you should refrain from using Flourish Shot in your rotation, is the Trauma debuff useful on certain bosses? Personally I've been using 2 points in Heads Up instead of Kneecappin', mostly I find that the speed boost out of a roll during sandstorms in the Dash'roode encounter is nice to have but other than that I have no real argument for it, was just curious on the thought process for Kneecappin'. So just a couple curious questions I had, great guide though!
  12. Pretty much what the above poster said, I don't PvP much anymore so when I do now I'm too lazy to switch out of my PvE spec. I run a DF/Sab hybrid for PvE, it is incredibly inefficient energy wise for PvP between reapplying the DoTs and what not. The thing I did want to point out though is that you can fairly sneakily burst just about anybody down without them having much time to react. Apply Vital Shot, Shock Charge, and Shrap Bomb, then throw a Sab Charge and hit them up with Wounding Shots. That Sab Charge goes off, then all the DoT's start flowing meanwhile Wounding Shots starts doing it's thing and blowing those Contingency charges, it is a lot of damage that can come out of nowhere when you hit someone that isn't looking at their buffs/debuffs. Probably the easiest to play though is Sharpshooter.
  13. Hey all, we're still accepting new applications for both the Republic and Empire sides, we could especially use a Tank on the Empire side to get us closer to being able to running Operations there!
  14. A Gunnery Spec Commando 1. How do you think your Commando spec is perceived by other classes? Under-performing DPS with the only advantage of being ranged and sturdy with Heavy Armor. Off-healing that is only useful in certain raid group configurations, but an overall lack of group utility especially with the lack of an interrupt. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? Of all my current 50's, DF Gunslinger, Shadow Tank, and this Gunnery Commando, it is this character that makes me feel like a detriment to my team rather than a valuable contributor. I'm disappointed in the overall DPS I am capable of, though admittedly it is my worst geared character. However, the mediocre DPS is only compounded by the fact that my utility to the group is weak. I have no group buff like a Sentinel or even the Gunslingers Scrambling Field, and I don't even have an interrupt which makes me an extremely weak link in fights like Jarg/Sorno and Hard Mode Colonel Vorgath. I do like walking around with huge assault cannon though.
  15. I'll write this from the perspective of a PvE Slinger that recently changed from Sharpshooter to Dirty Fighting. 1. How do you think your Gunslinger spec is perceived by other classes? Solid DPS, the 35m range makes Slingers a tremendous asset on certain boss mechanics (KP Fabricator Droid, staying out of Toth Fearful). Limited utility with Scrambling Field and droid CC's. With the DF spec the set-up for DPS takes too long to be reliably nuking trash packs with any consistency, but Flyby helps. People enjoy bringing me to HM Denova because they know I wont roll on any of the Campaign drops since my Campaign gear, is horrid. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I was pleased with the DPS output of the Sharpshooter Spec until the last patch, SS relies heavily on weapon damage and the de-stacking of armor debuffs in Ops really hurt our DPS. Combined with the recent changes to the top tier skills and being unable to chain 3 consecutive Speed Shots, I saw a significant enough dip in DPS to cause me to switch to Dirty Fighting. That being said I've been extremely pleased with my DPS output in the DF spec, no doubt the switch to internal damage helped immensely. My primary complaint with the Gunslinger class is the absolutely abysmal selection and itemization of Campaign gear, it is extremely Endurance heavy across every piece except the Boots. We are the only class (Smuggler) that can't Advance Class into a Tanking spec, there is no need for such Endurance heavy gear.
