  1. Little story: Commander dies. Adds come. I, the tank, get pinned by the big guy. DPS tunnel visions on the big guy and the sword guy. Adds surround the squishy healer and kill him in 3s flat.(no joke, a single add deals almost as much damage as the sword guy) Two lessens can be learned from this: 1.) the DPS sucked for not killing the adds before they surrounded the healer 2.) If the big guy died first, I would've been able to save the healer We still won while the healer was down because the sword guy and big guy hit like wet noodles, but still....
  2. I'd like to see a "solo training room" for each ops boss. Pass the training room and the story mode ops is unlocked for group finder. Each training room wouldn't be an exact replica of the boss. It would only have each boss's story mode-only mechanics. To pass the training room, you need to avoid/clear their mechanics multiple times. Each role would additionally need to do different things to clear it as a means of gear check. DPS would need to maintain an X amount of damage and take less than an Y amount of damage. Healers would need to maintain an Z amount of heals and take less than a W amount of damage. Tanks would need to maintain an M amount of threat and take less than an N amount of damage.
  3. What is up with PUGs this week? Ive rage quit multiple times today across 4 level 50 characters trying to finish the HM daily. Had a PUG with 2 15k health healers(one of the DPS commandos was in healing stance the entire time). I was only ever healed when my health dropped below 30%(I was the tank and held aggro on everything). Almost died to the pack in front of the first cutscene door in Kaon. Rage quit. Had a PUG with 3 people between 12-14k health. ....how the hell do people still have under 15k health with free recruit/tionese? Rage quit. Accepted an already-in-progress Ilum with another DPS. I knew the first pack would start to aggro if the FP takes too long, so I stayed at the transporter and mentioned this to the group. But nope, the clueless DPS that arrived with me aggroed them and got me killed. Rage quit. Ended up in a fresh Battlefield for Ilum. I told them right at the start to hug the rails and follow me(I went slow). Two didn't listen and died from the exaust zone. Had to kill the first pack because they took too long. Still feeling patient, I kept going. Instead of following me, the clueless tank kept following the rails ALL THE WAY TO THE END. He jumped off, then ran through 3 packs to get to where I was standing. Rage quit. Next up, Taral V. A DPS dropped out right at the start. I stopped before the first non-skippable pack because I know that pack respawns fast and our 4th member wouldn't be able to get passed it alone. Our healer and DPS kept going without me. Not only did they get past the first non-skippable pack, but ended up aggroing the mini-boss just up ahead. Our new 4th member arrived just in time to watch the other derps die. Still feeling patient, I pressed on. After the first boss, our derpy DPS and healer managed to aggro 3 skippable packs... at the same damn time. Somehow we lived and I pressed on. We went around the building that held the 2nd boss, but our derpy DPS was at it again. Rage quit. I hate the holidays.
  4. People predicted TOR would go F2P before the end of 2012. People are predicting TOR will go the way of E&B and Sims Online before the end of 2013.
  5. I know Section X costs non-subs $14. I know Makeb costs non-subs $20. I know BioWare's internal marketing and testing showed that Makeb's content value is ~+50% higher than Section X. I know Section X costs subs nothing. I know Makeb costs subs $10.
  6. Please think about making weapon requirements a skill tree requirement rather than a class requirement. One-Handed Saber = Right tree for Marauder/Sentinel and Assassins/Shadows; all trees for Juggernaut/Guardian and Sorcerer/Sage Two Sabers = Left and Middle tree for Marauder/Sentinel Staff Sabers = Left and Middle tree for Assassins/Shadows One Blaster = Right tree for Mercenary/Gunslinger; all trees for Powertech/Scoundrel Two Blasters = Left and Middle tree for Mercenary/Gunslinger Blaster Rifle = Right tree for Sniper/Commando; all trees for Operative/Vanguard Sniper Rifles = Left and Middle tree for Snipers Assault Cannons = Left and Middle tree for Commandos Basically, the shared skill tree for every class uses the "common" weapon configuration. This will allow one of the oft most requested things: for sentinel/marauders/shadows/assassins to use the traditional one-handed saber like in the movies. It also stays true to the dev's vision of making it so players know what the opponent is capable of just by looking at their weapon configuration.
  7. Section X is a bunch of dailies + HK-51 storyline. It costs $14 for F2P. Makeb, from what we know so far, is a bunch of dailies + planet storyline + 5 more levels. It costs $20 for F2P. Section X is free for subscribers, who already pay $15 per month. Makeb costs $10 for subscribers, who already pay $15 per month. Food for thought.
  8. I spend more time looking at my hotbar, resources, and buffs/debuffs than I do the actual game due to the sheer amount of buttons this game requires in order to be 100% effective. By giving us even more buttons to push, not only will I need to reconfigure an already fully loaded hotbar, but I will end up spending even less time watching the fights. ...is this what the devs intend?
  9. The game is buggy when the server crashes due to overpopulation. The game has a lot of lag when your computer isn't fast enough. My cpu has an awesome graphics card. We were all once noobs. Making munchkins hard to target compared to larger character is bad for PvP. This attack is great for single targets, while that area attack is perfect for a mob.
  10. The class mission perk is worthless. If you do all of your class quests on a planet, you will only earn enough XP for about half a level. A significant chunk of that XP is gained from killing enemies in the class mission, not the class missions themselves. Now take that small amount of XP and add 30%. ...complete and utter waste of credits or cartel coins. They could increase the amount of XP gained to +100% and it still would've give you enough XP to gain a level per planet.
  11. What skills does HK-51 have at level 36? I recall he will waste time using a bunch of non-damaging skills if you don't turn them off.
  12. Heh, this thread turned into a "post your terrible experiences in groups" As someone who leveled 3 tanks to 50, I never realized just how awful other tanks were until I started playing my DPS. I swear it feels like I'm the only tank that actually tab-targets and hits as many mobs as he can at the start of the fight. And I know there are tons of DPS baddies, but I never realized just how epidemic it was until I played one myself. I'm in tionese/recruit, the other DPS is in BH/crafted 27s. There are 3 weak enemies, 2 normal, and 1 strong. The tank and other DPS tunnel vision on the strong. I go around killing the 3 weak and 2 normals all by myself (so that the healer doesnt turn into a pincushion because the tank is being a ****), and when I get to the strong enemy its only lost half its health. /smh
