  1. If my character was in a star wars movie my character Leeroy'Jenkins (http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/31/screenshot2012100916564.jpg) would be played by Timothy Olyphant (http://images.askmen.com/galleries/men/timothy-olyphant/pictures/timothy-olyphant-picture-1.jpg) as i recken he would make an epic zabrak.
  2. Ok so i came from other mmorpg's where it is acceptable as a low level character to ask to join a guild so you may ask questions if they arise about the game and to help you when you max out, so i went to the republic fleet and asked if i may join a guild and people were whispering me with rounds of "really?" and "Are you serious?" i just want to know whats up with that thanks for all replies.
  3. Yeah i noticed this problem too until i just started using fraps instead
  4. i changed the color of the writing i must be color blind or something because i can read red on black fine thats what my keyboard and mouse are and i use them in pitch black and type stuff like this fine but then again i rarely look at it but at least its better than blue on black
  5. Hello there SW:The old Republic players! I was wanting to know what other peoples oppions of the rail shooters was, i myself enjoy them and find that they add to the whole role play of star wars. I myself have played a few MMORPG's like World Of Warcraft, Runescape and a few others in my time and always love getting onto the forums and discussing what i find about the different features and in TOR i have felt more involved in the game than ever before and being star wars which has a back log of lore spanning decades and generations and to be involved in those space missions to take down the Imperials just like in the movies but within a certain aspect of my control. Also im not sure if anyone else has noticed me or if its just because i play this game on a crappy monitor but depth of feild sometimes feels whack and i lose my bearings when something is right next to me and i just get lost in a moment of *** am i looking at? but again i am playing on a crappy monitor. as for companions, that sort of appeals to me because most recently on world of warcraft i have been playing my hunter so the command system was easy to pick up and it definately helps having the companion when my friend is not online playing with me. the interface at first confused the hell out of me till one day i just sat there and clicked everything till i finnaly found out how to customise the interface yourself! that was it i was completely sold on this game, the missions are easy to follow and so far do not feel repetitive, the story always has me involved (except when i skip it because i want to get the next level from the xp >.<). I really feel like my Jedi Knight (Leeroy'jenkins of Dalborra Asia Pacific server) and went through the training to get my lightsaber and take on a padawan who i teach in the ways of the force so she may one day teach on to her own padawan some day. As for the groups systems it really gets me involved with the game when i play online with my friend, in other games i have tried to play with friends but we hand in the quests seperately and get a written completeion certificate and our reward and get the next quest, where as in TOR both me and my friend have a fully voiced (and different voice actors) character talk to a fully voiced mission completion cutscene where we can both make descisions, as for the descisions alot of people seem to speak confusion with the rolling system and dont understand what the numbers are or who is talking, but i have come to realise (with ease and fairly quickly) that it is just like rolling for loot and the highest number speaks and that i find unique and very well done as it gives each person their turn to talk and doesnt confuse different conversations with friends so you see the same outcome instead of a different one. That being said i want to ask everyone else out there that is willing to read this thread what they think about the space missions and maybe a small review of how you felt it added or took away from your experience? And also with the outcomes and the points given to light or dark say i chose light but my friend chose dark and won the roll do i get dark points for that? or do i still get light points because i am not 100% sure on that one thank you for reading and look forward to hearing your feedback on this thread or ingame if you are on the same server P.S. forum smileys are wicked Nice Work Forum dev team! (looks like wassup face)
