  1. I agree with most of what you say, but saying Rift flopped is completely ridiculous (It's the 2nd most succesfull MMO right now if I recall correctly).
  2. I really liked this thread until the point where you started judging other mmo's although it's obvious you don't know anything about them (tera = swtor with pokemons LOLZ such a kiddy game, Mists of Pandaria = pandas and nothing new LOLZ ...)
  3. I can only speak for myself, but I sometimes forget SWTOR is an mmo due to the single player feeling you get while questing.
  4. We all know some games simulate physics better than swtor... I like how you completely ignore Sirsri's lengthy and well-informed reply. But then again, the main issue is not the difficulty of implementing better physics, it's the fact that swtor just isn't designed to have things like breakable objects, collision between characters ,etc. But you're just going to shrug and lecture us on how you know everything, so who cares.
  5. Did it ever occur to you that you might be the one who doesn't understand some things about this? And even if you had any idea what you're talking about : why the hell would anyone want those features in swtor? Swtor is an ability based mmorpg, not an action game.
  6. *sigh* "physical simulation" doesn't mean what you think it means... A physics component of an engine handles things like collision detection, velocity, etc. There are of course some physics engines that go a lot more in depth (i.e. physix by nvidia) than others. But that's not the point. You're asking whether BW could "merge" Euphoria with HE, which makes so sense whatsoever. It's like asking someone to combine a Mercedes with a Ferrari. Why/How would anyone do that? A game engine usually : processes graphics, loads contents, handles input and often simulates basic physics. You probably just want to add those fancy force unleashed physics into swtor which has nothing to do with engines being "compatible". No offense, but that's a rather stupid idea, since action game physics don't fit in an mmorpg. You should check out Tera if you like the idea of adding some movement and action into MMOs. True, I have no idea what the hell "merging engines" is supposed to mean.
  7. 1) I'm not sure you know what an engine is. 2) What do you mean by "compatible"? 3) Why would you care whether a single player action/rpg console engine is compatible to a mmo engine? edit : the amount of ******** in here is amusing
  8. I disabled all AOE spells except that channeled spell too but I'm just not sure if it's efficient. Well I guess there's no way of finding out before BW implements a combat log
  9. So I want to maximize Vette's damage output while questing. Is enabling all of her abilities really the smartest thing to do or does this keep her from using her best spells ? Also : which stance do you use? AOE or single target? I'd love to test it myself but since there's no combat log...
  10. The only one I've played so far : Sith Inquisitor : 6/10 First act was pretty awesome, second act was boring after the first/second planet and third act was kind of interesting again.
  11. wow some really new information that has never been posted on the forums before. Setting everything to "high performance" and updating your drivers... Who would've thought of that?
  12. 5/10 leveling (9/10 if it wasn't for the stupid linearity of this game) 2/10 endgame
  13. No. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome game but I just can't see me playing it 1 year from now. - The endgame content is horrible. Every heroic dungeon so far was 45 minutes slaughtering trash mobs, 10 minutes hitting space, because hearing the same story 7 times a weak is kind of lame and 10 minutes fighting really boring bosses. The world doesn't seem alive AT ALL. Most NPC's are not even targetable and 50% of the world is empty. The planet transitions are ridiculous . There are 7(!!!!) loading screens(which are by the way ridiculously long ) between The Imperial Fleet and The Battle of Ilum. The game is 100% linear. It's quest hub after quest hub and planet after planet. The game feels like a single player game. After at least 5 days of playing, I know about 5 players on my server. + The plot is amazing while playing from 1-50 and alting could be really fun if you get rid of mentioned linearity, the class design is pretty cool and the companion system is extremely fun. Also thanks, OP. This might be the best thread on the forums.
