  1. Recently, I found that I've run out of my certificates ( I know, insane consider post-slot machine deco. ) However after opening a fair amount of the new packs, I did not see a single one drop. Has anyone received a new certificate? Or are they simply gone now? If they are, then why do the cartel reputation vendors still require them for purchases? This simply an oversight or by design? Would appreciate any info, Thanks.
  2. Hm. Perhaps I should say that I'm not going to speak on behalf of Sages / Sorcs because I have not played one yet, at least not in PvP.
  3. It's something I've notice since a little after launch. Way back when ranged actually had a very strong stranglehold on Warzones, mostly because of some balancing oversights when it came to CC and roots. However the last year has seem to be "The Revenge of the Melee". It's rare now for me to not see around five melee in a single warzone, ranging from middle tree juggernaughts and guardians, to carnage marauders and combat sentinels. Any thoughts PvP community? I know I've abandoned my commando and gunslinger, for a Sentinel and I'm actually having some pretty solid games.
  4. This is beyond unacceptable. This game already had a strong leaning towards Melee classes to begin with, and stealth ACs. We are now at an issue where we have been just completely ignored. I'm sorry Eric, but there is no light way of putting this. You have ignored the Merc/Commando AC. I cannot fathom why classes that have from the last six patches, received massive buffs, re-tooled their classes, and even fixed many issues with their mechanics, are being addressed in 2.5 when you have an AC that is considered to be one of the worst ACs in the game. Honestly, this is just a little beyond belief. I'm sorry to say I do not have faith in 2.5, I do not have faith in this development team. I've rolled with the punches on Commando since day one. Since 1.2 this AC has been rolling downhill slow at first, then -fast-. You guys started doing better when you gave us Electro-net...the only new offensive ability added in 2.0 with a minute and thirty second cool-down. You even nerfed our burst soon after that, a class that already has issues with complete shutdown, being nerfed in burst. You're kidding right? That being said, I expect the Dev team to try their best, but only for the classes mentioned. They will catch heat from those classes if something screws up, and fix them, leaving the remaining ACs in the dust as they did with our Rep questions, our answers, and our balancing. Bravo.
  5. You're right, I was confusing my saber throws.
  6. Resource management is not that difficult, just a matter of getting into the swing of a rotation. Recent changes to commando Assault are actually quite fantastic, but I still think we need one thing. Healing Debuff. We went a good three patches after launch without an interrupt, I also really do not understand while a pure ranged DPS class does not have an ability to keep healing from completely wasting them. Marauders, Sentinels, Guardians, Juggernauts, Snipers, Gunslingers. All these classes have an ability to limit the amount of healing a target can receive ( Which funny enough, is horribly unbalanced considering the massive buff healing has gotten in this game ). Commandos should be able to bring that utility to the table as well. I just find it funny we're forced to lug around massive cannons that almost scream "this will hurt" but compared to Gunslingers taking pot shots with two tiny blasters, both in PvP and PvE, we're a rather lame rDPS. Good job on the top tier Assault Change though, working fantastic.
  7. Hi there, I play a Commando, have since launch. I really enjoyed the concept of a trooper and the idea of a massive cannon was just too funny to pass up. However after a few years, the gleam has kind of died. I love my class, I have put my heart and soul into this character, and I am a huge fan of the game. That being said, I wonder if the Cartel Market or Legacy could now open up the ability to free up weapon restrictions. Nothing so insane as Jedi using Assault Cannons, but at least allowing say, a Mercenary to use an Assault Cannon, Commando to use dual pistols, Vanguard to use a single blaster, Gunslinger's to use a Blaster Rifle, and so on. Even something as simple as removing the damage reduction for Commandos using Blaster Rifles or Gunslingers using a single blaster would be a big step forward in customizing our characters through play-style. It's by no means a small suggestion, but I think it would add a little more flavor to an already great game. Thanks Bioware
  8. Been camping the spawn for ten hours now, not a single spawn to speak of. It's pretty lame tbh.
  9. Haven't posted in a long time but decided I'd give a shout out for the baby steps this class has taken in the right direction in regards to PVP. I remember the days after 1.2 where Commando/Mercenary was one of the most hated classes, and hunted down in any PvP bracket. However pre 2.0, It was more a matter of being a considerably weaker target that got us hunted rather than hate. 2.0 added a lot of good toys for Commandos, HTL and EN are some sexy new toys, but still I feel we missed our chance to sit in the first car of the metro train. Lets talk shop then. 1) Electro-Net is a fantastic ability, and really doesn't need all that much tweaking beyond maybe a reduction of 30 seconds in it's CD time. The other issue I have with this is Scoundrel/Operative's dodge cleanses the ability off of them. Maybe I can see the movement debuff or the damage debuff, but the entire ability? I can't really accept that. 2) Gunnery/Arsenal is back with a vengeance that is for damn sure. Burst really skyrocketed with a free double cast and easier replacement under pressure. However we still run into the issue of interruption lockdowns. If we could utilize our explosive rounds for on the run gunning when interruption locked, I can see Gunnery/Arsenal being a much more formidable DPS on the field. ( I do not agree with a interruption immunity ability like Sorcs or Snipers. Those are features of those classes and for the most part, help them where they lack. Snipers are not very mobile and require planting, Sorcs if played poorly are as well. Commandos are very mobile in comparison and offer us an easier time with LOS ) 3) Assault Spec was pretty much rendered useless in PvP post 2.0. The reduction of crit and the rise of heals have hit the spec hard. I would like to see Thermal to be reverted back to it's pre-2.0 function, as a solid burst ability. Not another cleanse-able DOT. Those are the three things really biting me at the moment. We're not the perfect class, we're not even remotely the flavor of the month. However, to all fellow Commando/Mercs out there that have stuck with the class and try to make it work ; We're certainly the most patient. Also, we're incredibly handsome and pretty. Dual Blasters and Cannons scream sex appeal, you know?
  10. Why would the cost of a helmet be so expensive and so rare, only to be bound to a single character? For six cartel certificates and a required legendary standing, the least you can expect out of the helmet is a bound to legacy condition.
  11. Assault cannot afford a miss in PvP. We're not like Vanguards, who can count on a certain application from ion burst, we chance it. Get 100% accuracy -at least- and then buff up surge and power. Anything additional on accuracy is nice but don't let it take away from the meat of bigger crits and higher overall damage.
  12. THIS IS IT, WHAT THE MAYANS PREDICTED! HERE IT COMES
