  1. I am in favor of the idea of an RP instance. It's a game mechanic that is available and permits the RP community an opportunity to RP in relative peace. Will their be folks who are jerks? Of course. It's the internet. But in the absence of an RP server, which is no longer an option, it would seem that such an accommodation would be the best alternative. Having people just use guilds and their strongholds or whatnot is not a viable option. You have non-guild players looking to RP. Inter-guild events. Cross faction events. Guild events occurring on planets. I think the idea of an RP instance would please many in the RP community. Not asking for perfection for an RP environment, but just a chance to make it as conducive to RP as possible. The RP community has been dealing with Trolls for years. It's not new and the community is well versed in handling the occasional grief inducing moron. But a separate instance would help alleviate some of that unnecessary interaction. It's just another filter.
  2. Basically, why is Corso (or any character) limited in what weapons they can use? The first smuggler chapter starts off with Corso's concern over Torchy. The man needs to be able to use a pistol, not just rifles. This makes no sense for a story driven game. How could this be overlooked? Jaesa can no longer use an electro staff? Why not? I had her using the staff as I used a vibro sword as we "hid" from the Sith. Okay, I know...It's just an RP/character development thing, in an RP game with RP servers, but it's annoying. Spend 60 levels RPing and all of a sudden, your "secret" is out do to an update. But wait, there's more. Kalio gets a pistol to start, but is now limited to rifles? T-7's advanced pistol...mission reward for T-7...doesn't work on T-7? T-7 uses a Blaster Rifle? How, pray tell, does the poor droid fit THAT in the top of his head? I have not gone through the rest of my characters and their companions, but I feel fairly certain that I will find similar issues there. I have always been a fan of mixing and matching weapons (I think Bounty Hunters should be able to use rifles and Operatives should have pistols too.) for variety and customization. I hope this is simply something that was overlooked and not intended to be a "fix" or something critical to the new game mechanics, because it's poorly thought out. Let Corso use Torchy! All those in favor say "Aye"
  3. As I create new pilots and start working on equipping my ships, I like to maintain color schemes and such across my legacy, or even within our guild. The problem with this is that there are no longer the appropriate color mods available on the GTN because the packs they came in are no longer being sold in the Cartel Market. I would like to see the older mods placed on a vendor in the Starfighter section of the fleet so that I can use my fleet commendations to purchase them. Hey Devs, what are the chances of actually putting these mods on a vendor or putting another vendor in that area?
  4. Strike fighters are supposed to be the backbone of the fleet, they are supposed to be space "superiority" fighter. In short, they should pack a punch at short to moderate range. Bombers should fear them. Scouts should hit and run from them, hoping to get away before they get blown to bits. Gunships, well, they should be targeting them first out of concern for them getting TOO close, not because they are easy kills. They can still be a "jack of all trades" but should be able to do all those jobs a bit better. Out maneuver a scout? No way. But out maneuver a bomber and gunship? They should without too much trouble...and they don't. Out damage a type 2 scout? Always, and they don't. Blow a bomber out of the sky, should be their primary job...but they cannot do enough damage. Why does it take so long to re-arm a torpedo (which are pretty useless overall due to long lock on times, long cool-downs, and small firing arc.) and missiles? Between cool-down and locking target, a scouts evade ability is active again. How does recharging thrusters or a shield operate faster than arming another missile? I suggest slight improvement to maneuverability and increase to damage for blasters and reduced cool downs on their missiles/torpedoes. This cool-down reduction should apply only to the strike fighters, not to the other ships carrying similar weapons. Strike fighters should be designed to deploy these weapons quickly.
  5. I am having the exact same problem, though after a restart (Windows updated on the restart) I cannot access internet with most programs. A few still work and this is being entered on another computer on my home network, so my internet itself is fine. Do we have a solution for this? A setting somewhere that got messed up?
