  1. yea idk what you are talking about but this guy is clearly hacking. he won EVERY WARZONE with these gear choices, it must be HACKED!!!!
  2. wow pls dont pollute this fruitful discussion with such absurd and blatantly FALSE information. its obvious there is a global conspiracy across every swtor server where the top pvp guilds on each server develop and distribute hax among eachother. otherwise, how can u explain the fact that some people can single handedly carry their teams in matches in a game with such an extraordinarily high average skill level.
  3. i just want to say that i did a raid with mikey back in whiterose and it was a euphoric experience. rambeezy and krastin r cool too. i am harder than usual go bills
  4. I have no problem with you having that playstyle. In fact, I encourage it. I just want people to be able to decide what content they want to do to earn conquest points rather than be forced into crafting thousands of useless items as its the only repeatable source of income.
  5. That's actually not what I said at all. Next time, actually read the thread to get a better idea of the topic at hand.
  6. For the Death Mark conquest, this is true, but I do not believe this is going to be the case for future weeks, though I'm only speculating. The other ones are probably going to have the same Killing Fields goal as before, except that has been changed to be 10 warzone wins and is non repeatable. And even if the PvP goals remain relatively the same as they've always been, thats not the only problem with conquest.
  7. A lot of people (including Bioware themselves, apparently) seem to think that warzones and arenas were overpowered in terms of the amount of conquest points they gave you. However, the points gained from PvP pale in comparison to the completely absurd totals that can be gained through crafting. I'm not sure what kind of metrics, if any, Bioware is using to determine how people are obtaining their points, but anyone who has been paying attention could tell you that crafting is by far the most efficient way to get conquest points. An individual could, in theory, get millions of conquests points all by themselves, and the #1 guild on each planet almost always gets to that spot through brute force crafting. On The Shadowlands, for example, two enormous guilds, WOOK and Covenant of the Phoenix got into a massive crafting war and practically bought out the entire crafting materials section of the GTN. Covenant of the Phoenix gave up at around 14.8 million points while WOOK would go on to get 18.6 million. For comparison's sake the winners of the other two planets on Shadowlands were Old Republic Dads and Triumph, with 8.98 and 10.6 million points respectively. Though, I should point out that the reason why those two guilds didn't put up similar numbers through crafting was because they were dodged by any legitimate contenders due to previous performances. This isn't a unique occurrence either, a quick check of swtorconquest.com shows numerous guilds have managed to eclipse the 15 million point milestone. Hell, one guild on Jedi Covenant apparently finished last week's conquest with a whopping 25.6 million points. The obvious solution would be to go back to the way things were in Week 1, just make everything repeatable (I realize this was due to a bug but I feel that its existence really improved the overall conquest gameplay). That way, an individual can play the type of content they want to, as much as they want to while contributing to their guild's conquest effort. Additionally, making planetary stuff like the commanders and kill 25 guards goals repeatable will encourage people to spend less time on the fleet, and more time on the planets, which has the benefit of making the planets livelier and encouraging open world PvP, something the developers said they were planning on doing over two years ago and have not yet delivered on. It would also give smaller, dedicated guilds a better chance to compete against over large, less active guilds. Of course, even if this change was made, crafting would still be the easiest way by far to get conquest points, but at least guilds wouldn't be forced into the reality of "craft or die" like many are today. From Week 1 to now, conquest has increasingly become more and more about who has the most credits/crafting materials and less about actually playing the game. Is this how Bioware intends conquest to be? I don't know, but judging by the changes they've made it seems like its just intended to be a giant credit sink on top of the already massive cost of buying and upgrading your guild ship. I'd really like to hear from the developers on this. Is Conquest "working as intended" or are there additional changes planned?
  8. Which part of my post do you specifically think is trolling? I think everything I posted is pretty reasonable considering ID, when on this server, has never not been the dominant PvP guild.
  9. With just a quick look at the guild list, I found the following players who I personally find to be exceptional PvPers, in no particular order: 1. Aluvian (one of the best and most experienced marauders in the game) 2. Merkave (3k + rating in 8s, the best juggernaut tank I've ever played with) 3. T-elos (3k+ rating in 8s, considered almost universally to be the best poweretch in the game and best player on the server) 4. Entity (can play every class in the game exceptionally well, played a major role in victories against teams like Nostrum Dolus, Reality Check, Squirtle Squad, etc. Was also part of the kung fu treachery arena team that made the entire server stop queueing) 5. Somnax (#2 ranked assassin in the entire game in season 2 despite leaving early for wildstar, 2k+ rating on multiple toons in season 1 6. Viper (#1 Powertech in Ranked 4s when active in season 1, 2k+ rating in solo queues on pot5, the most active and competitive solo queue server by far at the time) 7. Demelain (Multiple 2k+ rated toons during season 1 of ranked on pot5) 8. Rogean (Has consistently been one of the top marauders/sents on Shadowlands since this game has come out) 9. EnergizerBunny (Arguably the best merc, operative, and sorc healer on the server) 10. Bogen (top tier operative healer for years) 11. Talionis (easily one of the best guardian/jugg tanks on the server, been a part of some of the most competitive ranked huttball matches in the history of Shadowlands) 12. Chappy (one of the few players who joined since post 2.0 who is actually a great player on multiple classes) 13. Zachariah (the best merc/commando on the server, not even close) 14. Mushu (Excellent player on several classes, another major part of the KFT team which made everyone quit) I would say these 14 players alone, all of which have been very active in the past week, are as good as any amalgamation of talent ID has ever had, and these are definitely not the only good PvPers in Triumph. Fact of the matter is, ID, now known as Triumph, is the best PvP guild on the server. If 8s came back tomorrow, Triumph would be the best. If 4s magically started consistently popping, any number of combinations of Triumph members would be the best. The players that are in the guild who are either PvE'rs or casual pvpers do not change this fact. They are not here to be elite pvpers, they are here to do casual PvP, PvE, and Galactic Conquest (though quite frankly, the vast majority of them are way better than the average PvPer on this server). If you think this statement is not the case, then I encourage you, or anyone else that wants to, to let us know when they are doing 4s, and if we can, we will make a team from the players we have available. Its not like we don't want to do ranked, its our favorite content in the entire game and have went to greater lengths than any guild in the game to play it, even going so far as to challenge the entire game to ranked on the PTS (3 guilds showed up, and it was some of the most fun I've ever had in this game). As for you in particular, I have no idea who you are. I've seen the mike-oxlong character a few times in PvP but don't remember anything special about those encounters. Maybe I caught you on a bad day or something and you are the best player ever. If so, I encourage you to continue your self proclaimed domination against Triumph in normals, and if you are interested, to put together a team to do 4's, which despite their flaws, are the best indicator of overall skill available in this game. If this doesn't interest you, then by all means, continue posting on the forums about how bad Triumph is, especially in threads like these which have nothing to do with PvP, as I'm sure the topic creator and the people viewing it really appreciate your input on this important issue.
  10. i mean its not even worth replying to these morons, they have no legitimate arguments and are essentially resorting to crying. At this current point in time, Triumph is the best conquest guild on the server by far, not even close. Even with the infusion of tons of non pvpers/new pvpers, the core ID players who are still part of Triumph are still the best players in the game. The PvE'rs aren't quite at the cutting edge of progression raiding but there are still like 4 raid groups who are doing nightmare dp. These idiots who don't even reveal their actual ingame identities on the forums are likely awful players in awful guilds that haven't accomplished anything of note in PvE, PvP, or Conquest, so until they have, their opinions are completely meaningless.
  11. yea ur rly skill i see u in wz put up 120k damage and im like wow how u did so i gogle ur names n now here.
  12. there was a thread about this on the pvp forums right after 2.7 came out made by one of my guildies, was deleted within a few hours. sadly bioware just doesnt care about ranked at all. they didn't even bother to go and clean up the completely broken leaderboards before finalizing them.
