  1. i'll gladly sell my copy lol, what a disappointment of a game.
  2. no, the world feels too confined. Not a fan out artistic backgrounds you can' actually get to. World zones are too linear. Overall, disappointed after all the hype for this game.
  3. absolutely wait for the video card upgrade, the prices will be dropping within the month. That is what I'm doing. good luck to you. just remember, if you do upgrade...get the i5 2500k. You will be very happy you did.
  4. obviously there are issues, i'm not trying to convince him to upgrade. he simply asked for suggestions. As far as upgrading, there are other games than swtor ya know?
  5. well guess what, the 6850 card is not very good bud. that would be an issue. If you are not overclocking that processor, of course you aren't seeing a big improvement. learn about hardware a bit.
  6. the 6850 card is not that great for this game, 3.0 is not that great for this CPU intensive game. grab the it 2500k 3.3ghz and overclock it to 4.5 (this is very very easy, people are running them at 5 ghz). It is widely regarded as the best bang for your buck processor for gaming at the moment, for roughly 200 bucks you get a quad core 5 ghz processor. you can get the z68 mobo for 130 from asrock, great board with room for upgrades and usb 3.0
  7. Here is what you do: buy the i5 2500k processor (best bang for your buck, ultimate budget to mid line gaming processor). buy a z68 motherboard from asrock, pro 3 gen 3. It's about 120 or so. buy a 560 ti card or wait till AMD releases the 7 series cards (the 6950 will most likely drop in price at this point as well as the lower end nvidia cards: 560 etc). This is the only way to go. You want to make sure you get a z68 mobo, you will be able to upgrade your processor next year once the new ivory bridge chips come out. good luck to ya.
  8. it is what it is, is it the "wow killer" that many thought it would be...well no, but it is a solid mmo that will most likely position itself at number 2 for quite awhile. Star Wars has too large of a fan base for this game to just totally fall off the map. I'm enjoying myself greatly. I don't love every aspect of the game but it is certainly enough to keep my coming back. I'd give the game a 85 out of 100, solid B to B+
  9. Currently play a level 26 gunslinger: When I am far away, the dmg numbers above a boss or mob do not appear even though I am obviously killing the mob. However, when I get closer they appear...this is quite annoying as I want to keep range on the mob but not blindly attack it without seeing my dmg output. anyone else have this problem? thanks!
  10. I had no issues until the very last couple parts of the "bonus series" quest line, the last quest line on the planet. The map started hitch up anytime I opened it, rest of the zone was fine. This is the only zone this occurs in, there is def. a problem. You think this guy is making it up? Don't be so quick to tell him it's his rig, it is an issue on Bioware's end. Great game overall!
  11. I think I figured it out, currently the UI is not showing the keybind as NUM 1, NUM 2 etc. It will just show it as 1, 2 etc. This is confusing as it makes you think it is not recognizing the numlock keybinds. Sounds trivial, but it was actually a bit confusing! thanks
  12. I understand, but I used it in the Nov 11th and the big open beta without a problem
  13. i've tried having numlock on and off, can't seem to figure this out : /
