  1. thx for all the answers. what did it fix it for me was restarting router and reinstalling the game.
  2. Yesterday game worked fine tonight I get this error and cant ply. Tried all fixes... finally decided to reinstall the game and the error is still here. Any ideas?
  3. u don't get it do you? they don't want subs since micro transactions net on avg. much more cash thus CM items are done the way both subs and f2p can buy them. for EA it is win-win if u sub and still buy more CM points they milk you even for more if ur f2p they milk you any way for basic features and some extras u might want to have. expect more races, classes, w/e as CM only cuz this is best profit for EA. sad but true :/
  4. hmm are those set armors so cool? I mean i cant fiend anything in cartel store i would like to have on any of my chars.
  5. tbh i agree with op - my guild starts raids 19 gtm - i finish work 17 sometimes 18 gmt before i get home i should be raid ready after we're done i don't have 2hrs to spare and do all daily quests to get enough credits for a next raid day - considering each daily nets you avg. of 7.5-10k credits you really have to do all of them to afford night of wipes that will cost you around 100-140k creds - tbh instead of raids i prefer to lvl up alts since doing same boring, time consuming daily quests every day for avg. to low rewards is not fun at all. considering crafting in game is avg. most of the items you can craft are negated by raid/hard fp gear, economy on realms with pop lower then heavy is broken to a point it is better to grind mobs for vendor trash then craft items with idea of making profit on auctions. repair costs should be reduced by 15 maybe even 20% for sake of those people who can't spend 5hrs every day to play this game - for all you elitist jerks like a guy who posted somewhere above think about it like this - more creds for you (yey!) and some fun for us who cant play this gamer that much.
  6. i think i would give 2nd chance to Rift since most of wow nerds left it already it might be a cool title to play now... if that would fail probably play more minecraft
  7. well most wow fans, ex or current players have checked most huge mmo's premiers in last few years - i can tell this from my perspective, each time i had hope i found game that will allow me to stop playing wow and each time wow was winning overall... until swtor that is finally something different mostly due to excellent storyline. thing with devs is that they do loads of work behind scenes that none is aware of hence people think that they are being ignored. each IT project i've seen or was working on had same issue. communication with the wide public, mostly because of the reason u mentioned - good dev is a working on code dev thing is i always though that each dev team is missing a person that knows more about what is going on atm then actually working on something, person that could communicate with wide public about everyday chore dev team has to handle. i guess you could consider this as a dev team PR representative or press spokesman designated only to handle user <-> team communication. this is because what i see here on forums is very same situation repeating in 99% of whine/QQ posts that is: user X is aware of a bug #1234 in game and has seen it 100's of times reported in variety of forum topics - someone from company side say like "thank you for your contribution we will get back to this issue as soon as we can bla bla bla" and then user X logs in to the game next day and bumps very same bug #1234 and ofc he thinks "***? i've reported it they said they will take care of it RAAAAGee nghghhh" dev blog could explain to people that sometimes bug that seems to be simple to fix might require to check 500k to 1 mil lines of code and its source might be allocated in a place no one would even think about
  8. actually Switzerland has weird tax/currency law mostly cuz they base quite huge part of their national profit on banking i guess this is why u pay so much cuz ur law is forcing BW to add extra costs in to you sub... deal with it i guess or register account in bank abroad and pay like everyone else.
  9. tbh considering how long WoW stayed on top on the market proves it is not that bad game as some of you state in here... still if you play it for 5, 6 hell even 7 years you get bored - i did after 7 years. do i think it is bad game? no. Wow just did full circle in development stages and bumped on to the wall called "nothing new in here". Problem is now people come from game that has been developed for so many years and has most of the high priority bugs removed to a game that was just released (rush released to be precise) and expect quality of a product that overall has 10+ years of development (7 years of wow + production period) vs. 5 that swtor has atm. tbh what could hlp BW dealing with all the whiners is releasing dev blog showing how huge IT project game like this is and what BW has to deal with on regular day base i can bet more then half of raging ppl would shut up straight away
  10. i am atm leveling my first alt that is on empire side of the barricade. tbh as sith marauder i do feel like all my options are limited to a) kick the dog b) shoot the dog c) shoot the dog and laugh over his dead corpse :/ was expecting bit more of a harsh society with militaristic structure and direct approach to solving problems instead it feels like a bunch of sadists with lots of guns and bombs not saying i don't have fun but tbh dark side choices on republic's sage quest line seemed more dramatic and with more meaning then anything i did so far as sith :/
  11. faction transfer could be done but for example with sacrifice made by a player who decided to do that - gear/class quest reset so u have to redo whole storyline to regain all titles + after xfer from 50 to 50 u would receive some starter xfer gear... that will allow you to do FP's and daily quest once again to gear up... still it seems too complicated to implement without some terrible bugs and rage from player base so i would stick to server transfer in a same faction as only option
  12. server transfers are required. this is standard feature of most if not all mmo's on the market... and AAA class mmo released in the end of 2011 should have it. other thing is that many people fallowed BW idea of rerolling lower populated servers to avoid ques just to end up on deserted realms after few weeks. you can't blame them for fallowing game designer tip that did end up badly for them - now same game designer should provide appropriate fix for them - simple as that. now some say roll another character on another realm yeeeah would you do that in WoW or any other mmo too? Drop char u've invested 50, 70 or maybe even 100 hours online and start all over again? doubt it. this is not an option and should not be even mentioned as a valid solution to this problem - it is idiotic to say - start new char on new server and stop QQ. for low pop/imbalance issue there are two known and working solutions a. server xfers b. server marge -> tho this one is considered as mmo death to many ppl if company starts to marge servers which is not a case with TOR since this game has way too many servers for its current population and also STANDARD/HEAVY pop means not much as information i know STANDARD pop servers with about 50-60 people i each zone and STANDARD pop servers with about 8 to 9 people in each zone on top of that there are HEAVY pop servers with about 50-60 people in each zone so is pop on server getting population rank based on people actively playing on them or by number of characters created?
