  1. Oooooooh shiny HK-51. You no ask questions. Ooooooh!!!
  2. First of all, it was a May report, and yes the May report did include the month of April and users with the free 30 day trial. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-17989756
  3. This game is garbage compared to GW2. Outsourced 3rd-world garbage. Just look at these cities: They are larger than any planet in TOR. They have more life and art detail than anything in TOR. Just compare the above to this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3Rrk6lgi24 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9_hqGsnpp8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUdZn5v5sEU TOR looks like something out of 2002. All races use the same body model because the developers were too cheap to make unique races. 95% of the mobs just stand there waiting for you to come mow them down because the developers were too lazy to script them. The planets are all linear hallways because the devs didn't want to take the time to make open-worlds and account for non-linear gameplay. There's no underwater, no day/night cycles, no exploration, no meaningful dialog choices, (all of which GW2 has). There's no depth in TOR because the developers were in such a hurry to get this game done as quickly and cheaply as possible. Look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJIsdl4BL2Q The same NPC is just copy/pasted over 20 times within a 50 foot radius. The developer who did this just didn't care. Know why? Because he was a contracted outsource who doesn't give a crap about an American franchise like Star Wars, he just cares about getting the job done quickly, getting paid, then moving onto the next contract. And here is Bioware bragging about how much outsourcing this game had, yea that was a real smart decision wasn't it. http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2012/01/20/star-wars-the-old-republic-the-story-behind-a-galactic-gamble/#/0 Stupid, stupid people in charge of managing this game, they have no business near Star Wars or MMOs in general. Enjoy your legacy.
  4. Your fault for getting married. And then your fault again for getting her pregnant. Multiple times. Sorry bro but you dug your own grave.
  5. Who are you kidding? Look at how much Bioware bragged about all their outsourcing post-release. (http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2012/01/20/star-wars-the-old-republic-the-story-behind-a-galactic-gamble/#/0) As if you couldn't see it in the final product. Everything is so disjointed and so many corners were cut to save costs. All races use the same body model, because they were too cheap to make unique races. 95% of the mobs are unscripted and just sit there waiting for you to come mow them down. I could go on but it's so obvious just looking at how static the gameworld is.
  6. It's not though. Indie developers are doing great right now. Passionate developers who don't outsource every component of their development, cut corners at every turn, and make barely functional reskinned WoW knockoffs are doing great.
  7. Don't want to derail the thread talking about other games but Blizzard really blew it, and most (if not all by now) of the developers over there who actually cared about their integrity are long gone.
  8. Yes, this is totally wrong, immoral and unethical. If you have the money you should be buying high and selling low to help those less fortunate than you. Shame on you!!! Vote Obama 2012.
  9. Ya, it's on an upward trend to mmo heaven...
  10. No it would look bad to dilute the public-facing customer base even further.
  11. This game has lost over half it's subscribers and the new competition (GW2, SW, etc) isn't even out yet. Imagine what's gonna happen 2 months from now. The population has been trending downwards since release, they keep announcing that their numbers are falling, so how in the world can you say it's on an upward trend? Wishful thinking I think but look at the big picture man! Constant layoffs, bugs that have existed since launch, no new real news besides a companion who was supposed to be in release anyway... Instead of deluding ourselves with threads like these and placating whoever's left in charge over there (if there's actually anybody left who hasn't been laid off yet) we should be demanding more information about what's going on, when the real transfers are coming, what's happening with all these lay offs, etc...
  12. Let's be honest here - when you have a company that openly brags about how this game had one of the highest budgets in history (http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2012/01/20/star-wars-the-old-republic-the-story-behind-a-galactic-gamble/#/0), why is the character customization so sub-par? When games that have far less budget to work with come out with unique bodies and faces for each race, why can't EA? In Tor you can play as a human, a blind human, a green human, a blue human, a horned human, etc... that's just not what I think about when I think "Star Wars"...
  13. Kinda hard for them to fix bugs when all their devs got laid off.
