  1. I wonder if the 3 talent points to increase Ion Gas damage are worth it now...
  2. Does anyone have an update on this probelm??? Has anyone rolled trooper and noticed the same thing?

  4. Hey Taugrim. I've been hesitant about putting talent points in Ion Overload and Supercharges Ion Gas because I've heard alot of talk about the Ion Gas Cylinder being bugged. I was wondering if you have noticed the IGC damage output not matching the tooltip as well? Do you think they just neglected to change the tooltip or is it bugged? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=94481
  5. What's up Taugrim? Good to see you on the official SWTOR forums. My buddy showed me some of your stuff the other night. I completely changed how I do keybinds because of you. It sucked for awhile, but now that I'm used to it It's improved my gameplay alot. Here's what I have to say about your guide - It is not only the best I have seen for the Powertech/Vanguard ACs, but it is the best I've seen of any AC guide! Love the intelligent breakdown of class mechanics and gameplay, as well as suggestions for PVE vs. PVP. Keep up the good work my friend.
  6. I'll second the comments on "stance" I did not realize that I didn't have her stance set at all (at level 27). You can also disable things you don't want her doing. I disabled some of her attacks so that she heals like a champ.
  7. No. All I'm saying is that I'm against the "I want what he has!" mentality. PT having a jetpack is important because they need to get into close range to be effective. Getting within 10 meters is harder than getting between 10 and 30 (Mercs). When battling, ranged characters start in their distance, while others have to move into it. From a defensive percpective, If everyone is able to close the distance easily on the ranged BH, then I could see them being given some additional snares or something, but a reverse jetpack? It's a bit much (unless it has a long cooldown or something). Someone with really high dps that can "rocket away" when you get close seems unbalanced to me. I'm just saying that it makes sense for a PT to have this type of ability, but it seems a bit much for a ranged BH.
  8. Potentially epic thread. Good job OP. Easy choice for me Bulls on Parade - RATM: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-58-36lSqG4 Lyrics: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/r/rage+against+the+machine/bulls+on+parade_20113430.html
  9. Hahahahaha....laughed my butt off. It's not like non-PT/ST Bounty Hunters don't have unique abilities. Also, you have to spec to get Jet Pack, it isn't a freebie. Every BH can use their jets (Death from Above), so it's not like it is there for no reason. As a Shield Tech I honestly wouldn't want other BH builds to have a Jetpack, because it is one of the only unique things I get. Having a jetpack that goes backwards would be slightly overpowered IMO. I could see the argument for some better snares or something, but a reverse jet pack would give too much control over distance. Maybe if it had a long cooldown or something.
  10. Doing the companion quest later will just delay things with Mako for you. I don't believe you will actually loose the opportunity for her companion quests all together. Untrack the quest, go back to the ship, talk to Make (or click on intercom).
  11. I agree that it would be cool to have. I do think it would offset game balance, however. The PT is effective withing 10 meters while the Merc is effective between 10 and 30 meters. That's alot more square footage! While the idea of a BH not being able to use a jetpack seems kind of weird, so is being able to pilot a ship way before you can ride a speeder or getting hit with a lightsaber a dozen times and not being dead. At the end of the day, balance is what is most important. I would say the same thing to powertechs complaining that they didn't have one of the unique abilities that the Merc has. As far as a jet pack that goes backwards; it would be too gamebreaking. You could escape from too much. Being a ranged class getting attacked by multiple melee players at close range, you probably shouldn't be able to get away from that and you should probably die, unless they don't know what they are doing. I like the idea of having a jetpack mount however.
