  1. Hi everyone, so, this was almost a year ago. Is it possible to find out some sort of update from BW on what's been going on? What the long term goals are (a list from the devs)? I would imagine that many folks are wondering if there will be any move to DX11 and maybe even a 64bit client version.
  2. I wish Natalie would corrupt me. Over and over again.
  3. I keep a back copy of the file install, and when I rebuild, I just copy it back and Origin fix the registry stuff... I didn't even know about this BitRaider garbage until a friend of my complained about it and I was like "What's that? I don't have that... sounds like spyware."
  4. Actually, Windows Phone started out as Windows CE, then Windows Mobile (back in the late 90s - mostly found on PDAs, then in the early 2000s WiFi functionality was added). Its only been rebranded to Windows Phone recently. The iPhone 1 was pretty well a carbon copy of the Windows Mobile HP iPAQ 6300 series phones that came out in July 2004 - I still have mine (not using it of course). iPhone was released in 2007. On the second part of the post. I completely agree with this statement:
  5. Windows Phone 8 guy here! It would be nice, I'm sure my security fob is going to die soon.
  6. I think it would be great for players to be able to create missions for other player. They can be in the form of holocrons that can be traded or bought (To some people reading this, I bet it sounds very familiar). This is a feature that I - as a role-player - loved in Star Wars Galaxies. This was a way for me and my Padawan or Master to interact on an RP story level that is missing in SWTOR.
  7. <scratch> really? I sub every 6 months... O.O so no •JA-3 Subversive Battle Droid Mini-Pet •JA-3 Subversive Speeder for me?
  8. I want to play those missions too... PLEASE I'M GOING TO HAVE TO START DOING CHORES!!!
  9. Funny story true story, I was just about to go and do all that fun binocular stuff when the server went for a poop... any idea when that's going to be fixed?
  10. All of the titles I listed above have that option. And if BW was using the DX11 API already (like they should have been...) I don't see why they wouldn't implement it on the get go, but the engine they choose ... has some issues that they never really talked about. Like chat bubbles... why the performance hit? And even their name plates and text have performance issues (but it might only be visible on SLI/CrossFire hardware).
  11. Yeah, you're right, XP was EoL last year or the year before I think... So, I kind of deleted that repository of knowledge I had in my head for it...
  12. Haha... omg... that's a good one... wait, you're serious? Here's a very small list of MMOs that have DX11: - ArcheAge - DND Online - Star Trek Online - Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar - World of Warcraft - The Secret World - Elder Scrolls Online (BETA) Here is some documentation I found using my Microsoft Developer Network account (...): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ee663274(v=vs.85).aspx http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ff476342(v=vs.85).aspx < this one talks about all the optimizations and improvements, mainly for performance. Better performance = better graphics to the general public. DirectX 11 doesn't just mean: it looks nicer. it is more optimized for today's hardware. Even when developing new games for use with DirectX 9 and 10, Microsoft recommends using the DirectX 11 APIs because you can down-level the API to use only features that were available to DX9/10. So... your brothers... unemployed eh? That's too bad...
  13. So, I was over at http://www.enjin.com/swtor-guild-hosting-website and saw this: Maybe its already in the works?
