This. Seems I am not the only one who thinks most of the programming (especially the interface) has been made by students that just learned programming, and have no idea about MMOs LOL dude I love you! Fail. The game is competing with the games in 2012, not with when they were released (like WOW)

Same! I was also so optimistic at the beggining... In the beta I was "omg this game have great potential and I look forward to play it in the next few years!" In the oficial release I was "Meh, still some problems they will get fixed soon, they are working hard" The last month "They already released few patches, why isn't anything important adressed, what are they doing anyway" Now "What was I thinking, this whole game is a mess, and can only be repaired with additional 6 to 12 montsh development, in this state it is just an insult to all real gamers..."

It took them more than 2 months to come up with the most basic and important thing for MMO - chat bubbles. Now try to guess when the biggest issues like performance will be adressed

What happened to the game? Why is it so incomplete? EA happened, thats what. They said they want the game in december 2011, no matter what, and here's the final result. Seems like they will never learn

My post will look so poor compared to the OP, but still, this thread needs attention and bump, so here I am. Excelent work OP, you pretty much covered EVERYTHING me and most of the playerbase had in mind, explained clearly and backed up with facts. My theory for the game fail is - EA. We all had great hopes that their long greedy hands won't touch the game that much, but seems we were all wrong... I am saying this, because EA are worldwide known for their strict and SHORT time deadlines (hope that expressin was correct) - they say to bioware "We want the game released December 2011. Period. No matter finished or not, we need the money" Even if there's no big need to express my own opinion, I'll do it just for the OP's sake: I was just like you, quited WoW, and excited as hell about this, seeing all the bright sides of it, looking forward to years of playing it, and now I think I am slowly but surely losing interest... Respect to you mate!

What you mean it's not simple? I DONT CARE MAN. That's not my frigin place to decide if it's simple or complicated, I as a customer say "I want this" and I expect to get it. It's not my job to know how it is programmed or something. It's THEIRS! And they haven't done it. Like someone said, the game should NOT be competing with WoW from 2006, but from WoW in 2012 !!!

Why in every criticizing topic some random people pop up defending the game like we are attacking their own personality? Understand that the game have TONS of problems and need to be fixed, and you are not helping ANYONE by defending your own opinions
