  1. Blizz saves the day, and Kira hooks up with Nadia. The End.
  2. I'm a recent high school grad, between work, studying for college, and time with a special female friend, I am not on during peak times often. I used to play a lot (before i unsubed) and generally loved the game, the biggest problem was that most of my play time was OFF peak times, thus the problem. As I played the average fleet population was 3-6 and I am a very big PvE nut who could only doing any PvE by specially organizing my schedual. Yes there were phases where I could find people who became friends to run regularly, but being dependent on them is one of those things that simply breeds drama. I unsubed a few weeks ago after I got my fourth 50 (two of them are fully rakata/black hole) and finally got tired of playing a shiney single player. This game is fun, but just fell short. I plan on one day returning but only when it gets better. Depending on how the LFG feature goes I may or may not return, but regardless of how shiney Bioware makes this game looks it is still a baby. My right as a consumer is to vote with my dollars; untill this game improves my money goes elsewhere.
  3. Seams to be customer services' catchphrase... This game is quickly losing my faith.
  4. Bind-on-Legacy at least would be nice... too bad Bioware is just making mistake after mistake. I'm sorry I'm grumpy, its just so many little things that are bad in this game. I truely did enjoy it, but for a game that encourages altoholism so much how can you have the hardest time gearing alts in any MMO I've played. I've gotten two raiding geared 50s (and have two non-raiding geared) and gearing them is a large pain. My main has 670(ish) columi tokens and all gear 140 and above, to bad my alts with 0 can get nothing from it.
  5. Those darn Scoundrel/Operative pre-mades going around focusing people down and making them unsub.... *rolls eyes* we can hardly burn down a target alone anyway. If we get the first hit we have a 50% chance to win a 1v1, if we don't get the first hit we have a .05% chance of winning a 1v1.
  6. Nothing less than a fully-functional LFG tool would bring me back into this game. I left recently but check back periodically because it IS a fun game, it just fell short in too many ways. It doesn't have to be cross-server but only making a channel content it is not enough. WoW had a lfg channel and I can tell you how much it was used before they added LFG... none. I love this game and think it has much potential, but gaming is a competitive market where you must always be ahead of your competitors, SWtoR is ahead in many ways, but is very behind in the ways that it is not. Edit: Only having a lfg channel is just a lazy fix to a big problem, that is why me (and surely others) want so much more.
  7. It was kinda nice meeting players from other servers that I havent seen in a while, and occasionally I ask how they have been. I played WoW from mid-Crusades to mid-Cata (cata ruined it for me) and saw no major drawback from the LFG tool. Yes there were ninjas, and yes there were morons, but those people existed without the LFG too. You may not run with people just from your server, but you still have a chance of re-meeting people; I did that in WoW al lthe time. Cross server LFG does not kill the community, simply expands it. LFG was my favorite part of WoW (other than my mage portals, loved those) for several reasons. 1: Easy access to group content. 2: Saves much time. 3: Allowed me to multitask, farm mats that I needed while in queue for example. 4: Discouraged sitting in town all day doing absolutely nothing. while spamming for a group. 5: Socialization. Occassionally there was a group that said nothing to eachother, but there is more types of communication than just typing/talking. All those players understood eachother's classes well enough and knew their role well enough to just read eachothers' action and act accordingly. This is not a sign of humanity's failure, but more of a grand kind of thing. Those players adapted and preformed skillfully without communicating verbally.
  8. Ranked warzones is the solution, but too bad they delayed it.
  9. As the developers of ToR have said many times as this subject came up they want to give us the players that "epic" feel in fights. On more than one occasion they had said that they do the best they can to give players the epic 1v1 duel scenes like in the movies/books; only they have not done it in a very epic way. All PvE is boring after 2-3 runs, all fights are "don't stand in this and beat enrage while interrupting" fights, and PvP a (4-6)-global-cooldown-death spree. And I have a suggestion to help this in a way. I have 3 50s and have played every class at least to 25 but keep in mind anyway that this is mearly a suggestion and my numbers are faaaarrrrr from being implementation-perfect. To get a more epic feel in fights we need more self-healing; watchmen do it, balance consulars do it, even good guardian tanks do it (second wind). Nothing major of course because we still need healers, but just long-cooldown or very tiny heals to make fights last longer when done right (similar to a watchman sentinel.) Damage reduction needs to be taken into account for this and many classes' defensive cooldowns would need to be tweeked/removed to not overpower certain classes. All heals should be talent-tree dependent, and high on the trees to prevent abuse. Knight: As a melee class knights need survivability, as noticed in their many defensive cooldowns. Due to the self healing Sentinels should lose Pacify and Guarded By the Force (Undying Rage). -Dispatch heals self for 10% when striking a killing blow.(for all specs, to give knights and warriors the snowball feel that many melee players are used to.) Vigilance+Combat -Blade storm heals self for 5% when it critically hits. (not the dot from vigilance's talent, yes i know combat has a garenteed crit) Focus -Force sweep heals self for 2% per stack of Singularity (8% at full stacks, and only when targets are hit) Defence Riposte heals for 2% maximum health, possibly tied to Blade Barricade. Watchman: Merciless Zeal changed to heal for 3% on dot crits, up from 2%. Consular Though the lightest armored class in the game, consulars already have several "get out of jail free cards" including force speed and the sage bubble. Seer: Healing tree, no need Telekinetics -Telekinetic Momentum procs heal for 1% hp. (approx 5% every 25 seconds in normal pve situations, less in pvp due to mobility) Balance: Buff Psychic Absorption by +1%. Kinetic Combat: In addition to the spec's already nice self heal, Telekinetic Throw heals 3% when you critically hit. This effect cannot occur more than once ever 1.5 seconds. Infiltration: As an assassin/stealth class self heals should be kept to a minimum -Shadow Technique critical hits heal for 1% of maximum health Smuggler: Despite being the least popular class, smugglers do not need much when it comes to self-healing. Gunslingers as ranged classes do not need it as much, and scoundrels already have some self-healing routes. -Dodge now heals self for 7% over 3 seconds (the duration of the effect) Trooper -High Impact Bolt refreshes your combat systems and heals you for 4% maximum health over 5 seconds. (Prevents Assault Specialization abuse feels more believable) -Reactive Shield: already exists, effect should be lowered to 20% default (talented to 25 in Vanguard's Shield Specialist) but when used below 50% hp it also increases all healing received by 20% for the duration of the effect. Note: Gives more utility to tanks and pvpers, be used to nul incomming damage when high (like a boss charging up an attack) and still be useful when low. Several of these talents should be gotten at the cost of damage, like many other suvivability talents. I know my idea is far from perfect, but please offer suggestions and tips in the comments below on how you would feel about this. PvE encounters would just need a small buff in damage, single target for tanks, aoe for everyone else.
  10. What is GW2's release date again? Seriously Bioware, w t f.
  11. I only ever find the rarity search useful for looking for orange gear, beyond that I never use it. Even when looking for epics you could just use the item level sorter to find the best. 1-there are too many options (most of them aren't even used) 2-when i am truely using the GTN the "any" option is my best friend 3-why was this a ninja change? in what way does it benifit the game?
  12. As the title implies I am upset about the ninja GTN change. I must not ALWAYS choose rarity for items I'm searching for, such as premium, legendary, ect. Unfortunately as a crafter this only irritates me because I need to check the GTN very often to find the best deals. When searching for mats I must now go through that additional step of adding rarity into the search, and in doing so I can't even see all the results. For example if I wanted to see basic mats I'd have to search premium, for any epic mats another option, and even GTN sharking for perfect upari/unriched durasteal is a pain in the lightsaber. Yes this change would be useful for the "casual" gamer that doesn't play the GTN, but to everyone it is nothing more than an annoyance.
  13. I play mainly PvE content because it fits my style more, but for fun I pvp occasionally, or when I level alts. Why would anyone bother going through 2-3 loading screens just for a quick duel that is nothing more than fun and games anyway. Additudes like your's is why the swtor forums is a dangerous place. Please try to have an open mind next time and see things from more than just your narrow point of view. Duels are pvp fluff, fluff is vanity, and vanity give players things do do besides hammer content. Even as a PvEer i support fleet dueling.
  14. And/or a server-dependent LFG tool. NOT cross-server LFG, cross server is only good for warzones. Yes.
  15. Star Wars Galaxies did exactly that, and was insainly popular till the day the servers were shut down for good. I agree with you on many points and find myself at a similar place. The video game market is competitive, and though I loved this game to bits it is not the same after making 3 50s, 2 of which are full rakata/black hole. My biggest beef with this game is that any time other than peak times it is nothing more than a shiny single player. I am retired so I play a lot, especially during non-peak times, finding a group for flashpoints or any other pve content is a wasted effort most of the time till people come back. I do not want a cross-server LFG, but a LFG tool for only your server (any ninjas or griefers will not be able to get away with it if their teamates are on the same server) would get several more subscription months from me.
