Play time leads to skill and in MMOs gear, if you are to casual to get champion gear OR PvE gear tier 2/3 by now I doubt you will have mastery over your class or a crew of skilled PvPers to play with to do anything worth while. Furthermore it is a waste of my time and just boring to play against you. Unless a ranking system comes out they PvP system is just meh because a min / max group will just be grinding out other groups of casual/poor class comp/under geared/under skilled players which is lame. Also, there are not enough players per server to do any kind of ranking. So give everyone whatever gear but 99% of players still seem to have trouble turning with the arrow keys while keeping someone who uses hot keys on the screen, much less doing anything they should be doing like DPS. So what is the point of playing against them? I have been BM a while and only use the weapon, my companion has more BM pieces as I ripped out the mods for a PvE tank set. Champion is fine, so yeah if you can't get champion by now, I would prefer not to play you. At least in Halo 3, Street fighter 4 AE, and a lot of other game I can filter the novices out with a search by ranking. EDIT: In conclusion the market for SWTOR seems way to casual so I will play something else for competition as the people who were good AND had gear seem to be quitting along with everyone else on my server.

I'm leaving no matter what to invest more time into street fighter x tekken, a PvP game without gear but like all fighter games is much harder to become good at than MMOs (I put in the time to learn combos, mechanics, I will beat someone who does not). SWTOR needs a gear ladder in PvP and also matchmaking will. very soon, require 8 man Ques and matchmaking based on skill. It is the geared and high skill and ideal team comp matches where the game may be fun for some real PvPers. After the guild summit I realized the developer's don't understand their own game in terms of PvP mechanics so I lost hope. A skilled players will put in the time to acquire the gear and min/max, which if often hastened due to playing skills or people skills. It takes a almost no time at all to get full champ, which is what I have used for almost two months now, and it let's the player able to handle anyone in the game due to Tier 3 being marginal on mods and upgrades. Yet players already complain, I do a lot of solo no point world pvp solo ganking of geared mains and over many games only a few under par players surprised me with skill. The vast majority of undergeared people often have not invested the time to learn even the basics, like jousting for melee or kiting for ranged, which I infer that most of them are clickers and often the abilities that should be used like, snare/stun. don't get used.

You must be imperial, just give it to the republic....I don't need it because I have full colomni or better and most players wont run flashpoints because they got whatever drops in the flash point or get equal or better in raids. However, I know tons of republic healers or tanks that can never get into flashpoints because there are to many servers, over 100. And most of the players are imps. And there is no motivation to do the flashpoints after getting whatever piece of loot drops there.
  5. BM is only a few percent better in some stats and most you have to remod anyway. If you can't compete with full champion gear, which takes at max a week to get, you just can't compete. Next we will hear about how it is unfair that players who have trouble using the arrow keys to keep others on the screen are both disadvantage and skilled. EDIT: I'm battle master, and only wear champion aside from BM sabers. A lot of time I use DPS gear/ cosmetic/or whatever and do just fine versus battle masters and my expertise is usually 400, while playing the squishiest class in the game, DPS shadow. So I have to say it isn't a gear issue. Go raid seeing as PvE gear is as good as DPS gear or get the freebie champion set. The skilled PvPers will be rolling with the best gear anyway, because it doesn't take long to get. If you want everything even go pick a top tier in in a fighter like tekken, Street fighter, etc.
  6. Indeed, so tanks can DPS in PvP and throw a few taunts around in any spec for medals. PvP tanks are always going to be healers anyway and most do real well at taking a beating, depending on the cool downs.

Yeah will destroy any other comp, the second assasin is to stealth and grab the ball after the score, but in Voidstar it should be impossible for any combo to make it through the 1st door, Healer tank + shadow on one door rest blocking the zerg. So at worst ends in a random roll. Not sure where people got the idea that 20 k+ HP sorcs/sages with bubbles, sprint, AoE knock back w/ root, ability to spread out, are squishy, if they get targeted they can go pillar hide. They are no more squishy than any other class, including Tanks in tank gear. This is star wars the old republic, geared sages are not squishy, don't run out of force and can heal or DPS pretty well with hybrid specs. When defending, more healing when trying to take something more DPS. ------------------ In civil war if they got two caps would be impossible to win as well because can reinforce so easily. Eventually they should get two caps due to out lasting the other team at the disputed turret.

The same loot in HM 4 man instances drop from raids and gearing out is pretty fast from HM or raid so for instance if someone had columni chest they will never run False emperor again because they can only get the chest piece. Re playability of 4-mans is very low. There is no reason at all to do normal mode instances. Not to mention so few republic players on many servers makes it even worse for our side. IMO the best LFG tool in MMO history will not get most players to actually want to run flashpoints unless they are rocking level 40 greens and likely don't have the stats to survive HMs. The endgame PvE and PvP needs a revamp and better ideas as the guy in charge of both came from war hammer and it is pretty much the same thing. What is the point of of the endgame and where is it?
  9. Yeah Sorc/sage running around with 18k HPs are pretty tanky. And share the same icon so it was likely a sage/sorc. They do 300-500 damage and 100-200 healing all the time, shadow/sins can't even stance dance anymore and we lose abilities by being in the wrong stance so no good hybrids. I usually roll with about 18k HPs, 40% crit, 70 surge, in full DPS gear and can hit like a truck as a shadow tank but my survivability isn't boss like or 22.5k hps and annoy players trying to take objectives and once again I'm not immortal but due light DPS. One or the other. Marauder's usually spec for DoT's which bypasses armor. Once again no one cares about the sub 50 bracket, get to level 20 at least so you have more skills/avilities.
  10. It won't get used up because pretty much every single ability people use in PvP bypasses it. Tanking stats are useless in PvP unless you keep getting killed by the one or 2 gunslingers/snipers on the server whose damage get's absorbed. Aside from that I play in the 50s bracket so I guess I should have stayed level 49 because my battle master gear is bringing me down. Tankasin =/= DPS, the damage out may be high but that is because it is constant.
  11. 6-7 sages or sorc DPS hybrid healers + 1-2 DPS or dps in tank stance wins straight up hut ball do to pulling allies and CC. At the very worst a 50/50 coin toss in void star because would be impossible to get through a door for any comp. And imps get the win in cival war due to 2 turrets facing republic ship, however, if that group gets 2 turrets there is no way to recover a touret, ever to much CC/utility survival. Rated we are talking geared out so 18 k HPs hybrid DPs sorc/sage can win by turtling. The game is pretty broken PvP wise and doubt it will change but rated WZ and DPS meters will only open people's eyes to how messed up it is, rether than be a form of competition.
  12. In group PvP sages are the best tanks/healers/DPS and Commandos are great DPS, Commandos at ranged do pretty good with one button: . It is the same for PvE. Spreading out ranged DPS that does as much damage as melee DPS while wearing heavy armor or shields will always be better especially when all encounters are maximize DPS style before enrage. Most MMOs let melee do more damage or make ranged classes squishier to compensate for the high risk but not this one as melee classes are usually the squishiest. If three melees are on a target they are eating a lot of AoE damage. Play whatever you like, I hate cast times so play a melee and do OK. Tank stats don't work in PvP and a lot of skills bypass armor.
  13. Gunslinger/sniper nerf because it is the least played and few think it is OP. They may nerf some off or hybrid specs of other not OP over powered/over played classes. There are more mercs and sorcs on my server than all republicplayers combined so I doubt they want to mess with them. It took a while before a BW or sorc nerf happened in warhammer and mostly the same developers.
  14. I'm republic so gained 57 valor levels in WZs only, little Ilum bonus valor at all. We start with 5 players often enough but not once anything over 8 in 100s of matches. Half my matches start with Imps over 8, that is an intentional bug from the same groups of people. I know how to do it, is easy. Does it happen by accident? maybe less than 1% of the time, but so far not one of mine started that way.
  15. Every match the other team has 11 and instant wins so it must be working as intended? When a team can't exploit wins like that and win for hours on end to rank up valor faster without consequence it must be a intended game feature. It was known about for months now and is just becoming more widely used, over half the games on my server, so I'm being punished for hours on end for only Queing with 8 people. The fact that the same groups do this every match day in and day out means it must be an intended PvP feature. Easy fix is if you have more than 8 players you auto lose! At start of the match
