  1. He's wrong. And he's so wrong it's not even funny. You should have Berserk up as much as possible as an Anni marauder, and when you have Berserk up your bleeds auto-crit and therefore all your crit rating is worthless. Power is much more useful because it means those bleeds that are auto-critting are hitting harder. Edit: The only way for the Power vs Crit debate to be settled is with exhaustive testing, either in game or on a very accurate sim. In game, I would say do repeat a 10 minute parse 10 times and then average out the damage. Then trade out Power for Crit and do 10 more 10 minute parses and average out the damage. Whichever one has higher average damage is probably the way to go. If you want to be truly exhaustive, you can swap out power for crit on every piece of gear, one at a time, and test at each different level to see which comes out the best, but it would take a long time to get the gear required for the tests and even longer to run the tests. Because of that, an accurate sim may be the way to go.
  2. At what point in the gearing curve are you better off going Carnage for PVP instead of Annihilation? I'm a recently dinged marauder who has been playing Annihilation since level 10, but I know that Carnage is the better spec for PVP. I am not strictly PVP, but I figure I can get by in PVE as Carnage easier than I can get by in PVP as Annihilation. At this point, all of my peripherals are BM pieces, but I think all 5 of the main armor pieces are still Recruit. I might have 1 piece of social gear with BM Vindicator's mods in it. I haven't been able to log on since Tuesday because of Hurricane Isaac so I really can't remember. Also, if I do go Carnage, what spec do i use so I can use the same spec for PVE and PVP and what is the PVE rotation for Carnage?
  3. See, that's the way the guy pronounced Columi that drove me batty. Tea-oh-knees vs Tie-oh-knees isn't a big deal, but Call-um-eye annoys me for some reason. It's obiously supposed to be Cull-oo-me.
  4. The same thing that killed the cat. Plus I was in vent the other day with a guy who pronounced Columi in what was a very strange was to me. He pronounced it the call-oooo-my way, btw. I go for Tea-oh-knees and cull-oooo-me.
  5. This has probably been done before, but I couldn't find anything on a cursory search of the forums. So how do you pronounce the following words Tionese: Tie-uh-knees or Tea-oh-knees Columi: Call-oooo-me (emphasis on oooo) or Cull-oooo-my (emphasis on my) Sorry for the edit, 1 responder.
  6. The day after I made the OP, I did another LFG run of SM EV. I also did a LFG run of a normal FP and a HM FP. By the end of the day, the only piece of gear I was wearing that wasn't Tionese or better was my earpiece, which is unfortunately still a Battlemaster's earpiece. I'm trying to collect the mats to have someone make me a BH Pummeler's earpiece. I've got 2 pieces of Tionese, 2 pieces of Columi, BH pants, BM sabers, 2x BH implants, and 2x BM power relics along with moddable bracers and belt.
  7. So my marauder dinged 50 last Saturday (9 days ago, not 2), and I ran my first raid last night, a group-finder run of SM EV. There was another marauder in the group who was a good bit better geared than me and probably didn't need too much from the run. Unfortunately, not a single piece of marauder gear dropped. I did get Columi pants for Malavai and a pair of bracers for Jaesa. So I know have 2 companions with more raid gear than I have. It's funny because it's true...
  8. Mega, I read your response in the other thread involving using moddable gear and ripping the mods out of the Vindicator gear. Won't this leave you without a set bonus until you have 4 pieces of the War Hero Vindicator's gear? Do you just deal with that because you'll end up with a better set bonus in the end?
  9. There is an option to turn chat bubbles on in the preferences menu. Can't the factions already talk to each other? When I was on Nar Shaddaa on my tankassin I had a Jedi Knight come up and start talking to me and challenge me to a duel. I think you just need to talk in /say to be able to talk to each other. The guild ship idea is something that was thrown around in my guild chat about a week ago and it was universally supported. I want it just so I can pop onto the guild ship and call out "How many ******es have i got on this ship?"
  10. I have a theory about this, but I need a qustion answered first. How many Ops are there right now and what is their order from lowest level gear drops to highest level gear drops?
  11. If this is a PVE server, which it seems to be, I can see the problem with this. On a PVP server you would have a way to stop them from harrassing you. You could just kill them to prevent them from killing the add. On a PVE server, there is no way I can think of to stop them from killing the add.
  12. I am on the Swiftsure Imperial side, character named Labiche. I am about to start Hoth on my tankassin so I will keep my eyes peeled as I usually am pretty good at observing and not just seeing. After reading the first 91 pages of this thread, I had an idea. Has anyone tried killing the new wampa that the patch notes mentions and THEN using the jerky in some way, either eating it after the wampa is dead or maybe you can use it on the wampa corpse to lure out the tauntaun?
  13. As soon as I got Wither at level 40 on my tankassin, I started to feel invincible. Before that I was already tanking entire rooms while doing heroic 4 quests on Alderaan and Taris. I just like the idea of having a full party for the entire questing experience and not having to go find everybody's different class quest locations.
  14. So, I am currently levelling a Sith Assassin and have thoroughly enjoyed the class. Yesterday, I realized that Sith Inquisitor is the only main class (along with Jedi Cosular) that covers all 4 roles: tank, melee DPS, ranged DPS, and healer. So, I was thinking, wouldn't it be fun to put together a static alt group of four Sith Inquisitors and only level them when all four people are online? Two of them will become assassins and two will become sorcerers, and you would have a ready made group for any heroic quest or FP. You also wouldn't have to worry about traipsing all over the planet for different class quests, because you would be doing the same class quests on all 4 characters. I am currently on The Swiftsure Empire side and am interested in playing a sorcerer DPS. Is anybody else interested in filling the other three roles? I would also consider doing this as consulars, but would want it to be on a different server.
  15. So far it's Alderaan, although I'm only up to Hoth at this point.
