  1. Seriously! Why do the bosses have to vanish if we wipe? This has happened more than once on Foreman and Fabricator. Admittedly, we can do better, but seriously? Making them vanish so the zone has to be reset so all the trash has to be killed again?!? At LEAST have the trash drop credits! They drop practically.....nothing, making this yet another exercise in time-sink tedium. This can't be working as intended.
  2. Oh I knew as SOON as i saw the leaked 1.2 notes that Mara would be a FoTM. Which is funny becuase I had a mara on the shelf for months, and now he looks like a FoTM... oh well. It'll change again eventually...such is the case with these games.
  3. It will likely be the same as the old rage spec skill. It's uninterruptible in terms that you cannot use your regular "interrupt" skill to stop it. You can still be knocked back, choked, stuned, etc. Just the actual interrupt skill will no longer work. Though I would need confirmation as I haven't tested it yet. Seems to be a pvp general change, giving it to all specs instead of just the rage. Damage boost is still very nice though.
  4. I've been trying to find information on PvE based operatives. Now there's nothing wrong with pvp, I just don't prefer to play that style of game. With that said, I'm interested in helping my guild succeed in the ops content. So I'm trying to determine whether or not I'm doing well in my parses given my level. Specifically, now that I can quantify what I'm doing, I'm trying to find reference on how to qualify it. For example, I'm currently Fully Columi Geared with the exception of my offhand (tionese), belt (tionese), bracers(tionese), 1 implant, and my relics (Shard relic and light V relic). This hold true if I'm healing or dps-ing (I have enough gear to swap for the bonuses, etc..) now that we can parse, I discovered while healing (normal) Karagga, I could pull down about 800-1200 hps for the battle (1013 for first attempt, 804 for the second, and 1147 for the last, and kill). Now what does that mean? I have no idea whether or not I'm healing "well", "poorly" or whatever? Given my gear, how do I qualify those numbers? Similarly while DPS-ing. Now I admit, I'm not as good at DPS-ing as healing, and it can take a bit to adjust from one to the other on the fly, but on (Hard Mode) Annihilator, I was only pulling down 600-700 DPS in lethality spec, same level gear. I highly suspect I need to be doing better. Perhaps even go concealment for future ops. From what little I COULD find, it seems others in full Rakata are pulling down approximately 1400-1500 dps. But again, its hard to say if this is on actual targets or on training dummies. Anyone know of a place that has this kind of info for PvE'rs? Many of the sites I've found contain pre-1.2 info.
  5. I forgot exactly what the notes said, but the summary could be: - slight bump in how nanotech works - one more TA stored up. At least thats what I'm focused on. (healing-wise)
  6. Leveling as a rage. Guildie leveling as Carnage. Another guildie leveled as Annihliation. etc... Just pick a spec and run with it. As you play it you'll get better at it. I can clear an area pretty quickly with rage spec, but if I switch to carnage it'll take me longer. Not because carnage is "worse" but because it's just played differently. In the end you only need to worry about the "perfect" spec when you're maximizing stats for either pvp or HM/Ops, which really only happens for lvl 50.
  7. Actually, I KNOW this is a DPS drop, but for fights where ranged is clearly favored (And it feels like there are so many of them endgame), what is the viability of dropping two points into medicine and using that to generate our TA? Its clear you would lose some DPS, shiv, BS, HS would all be gone. You would STILL have to be *somewhat* close for Weakening Blast to trigger. would a "ranged" (since your not actually hitting the mob) generation of TA actually help with a reliance on Cull? Not trying to troll, just wondering if anyone has tried it and could give input. Again, I'm looking for actual attempts at this, not just theoretical number crunching (which gives this a bad light).
  8. I've actually seen the whole "take mod out of this and put it in that", but the problem I'm running into is I don't know what mod is on each piece of gear. For example, I don't know how much of the cunning is coming of the gear, the mod, or the enhancement, is it +10 on the gear, +40 on the mod and +35 on the enhancement? +40 on the gear + 10 on the mod and +30 on the enhancement?, etc, etc... (numbers are completely random off the top of my head). I don't know how much of the crit rate is on the crystal that comes with the tionese/columi/rakata weapon, so on and so on. I mean I can see the level of the mod, but thats it, not even the name to give me a hint. Unless there is a way you can look at the mods without purchasing the item that I've completely missed. (note, I've seen the link above but have not read it yet...it could very well be that link answers this very issue)
  9. Okay, I recently switched to DPS from heals as there were too many healers in our guild and I wanted to get in on more ops. But from what I'm seeing our tionese/columi gear is HORRIBLE. I'm losing a ton of crit/surge for accuracy and power? Am I missing something here? is crit/surge not as important for dps as heals? This can't be right. Also, the columi enforcer jacket actually has LESS cunning than the tionese, though a hefty uptick in endurance, but still, why is the upgrade giving less of our primary stat? just got the unassembled columi jacket, and I feel like buying the medic suit for the increase in cunning, (smaller) increase in end, and loss of accuracy (already > 100% on tech), and just taking the alacrity for a slightly quicker AoE or emergency heal, or fleet pass, or whatever. Does anyone know of a good gear guide?
  10. Seem to do fine as melee dps. Snipers seem to run into issues on any fight that can consistently knock them out of their cover. I think I've noticed this mostly on the Infernal Council in EV (I've seen issues occur mostly vs maras, but also with assassins). But like any other situation, they can still pull it off with enough persistence, AND its really the only major case I can think of. Without any kind of log, all I can really say is that I appear to be holding my own in a fight, but I do notice that as melee I can be at a disadvantage on encounters such as bulwark, as I lose dps due to taking cover under the consoles.
  11. I just recently went concealment as my guild had too many healers (seriously, how often does that happen?) and I have to say I do more than a fair amount of damage. I'm shocked at how easily things die. And I still have several pieces of "healer" gear. I can't imagine how powerful we were before the nerf, but this seems great.
  12. Many bugs here too. Took us 5 tries... 3 bugged, 1 death, then got him. A brief list of our bugs: 1) After arriving to the 2nd floor, we discovered that there were three "pieces" missing. So after dropping him to 30%, we were unable to complete the run to the bottom because the missing "pieces" were not in place to allow us to fall safely. 2) Another run, during the 2nd floor, our tank was "flying" as he hit 30%. Then the tank was placed back at the beginning of the encounter. 3) Another run, once we got to the final floor, there was already a mind trap there (Soa was still floating down), so we killed it. Once it was dead I was placed in an "invisible cell", on the floor, but with no mob or fellow players. I could see their icons on the map, but they were faded out as if they were too far away. I couldn't walk more than a couple of steps as it would "reset" me. I couldn't even pan the camera around as it would "reset" the viewing angle forward. After putting in a ticket, I got a response "we are aware of the issue and are working on it" or to some similar effect.
  13. Still prefer scorpio over temple. Temple does VASTLY more damage, but scorpio does a good job at turning mobs so I can stick my knife between their shoulder blades (or whatever). That plus I like finishing a mob with 3 knives sticking out of it...
  14. you can get a decent core from Corellia Heavy Armor vendor, and Illum, I believe sells decent parts, both of which are fully modably (and you will have to mod them). Best ones are purple crafted, but availability depends on your server. I managed to get mine, but it took FOREVER, as I have the most horrible luck on RE. Still haven't seen the purple staff yet, still using the one from LIGHTS OUT heroic on belsavis. Considering making an alt then feeding it mats to get that staff.
