  1. Now consider this. Who wins: Team A: 8 DPS Team B: 6 DPS + 2 healers. Team C: 5 DPS + 3 healers. I dont think this patch made healers less wanted. I played a few huttball games yesterday with zero healers on my team and we got stomped hard for it. THe other team had shield on their healers and tried to keep people off them. Result? Given.

    For combat specced MaraSents Master STrike/Ravage hurts. Ofcourse it does. It is like one of the main attacks for the spec. But for it to hurt properly, you need to do more than just pop it and lol while your opponent dies. When a Operative/scoundrel hangs you up in the air and starts knifing you, you realise you should do something to stop it, right? Or when a sniper / GS knocks you away and starts channeling snipe? Master Strike / Ravage is the same thing. It has a pretty long cooldown. Combat sents do not have any self healing, they dont have as good survivability as watchman, so they need to do good damage. THeir mobility is also quite bad compared to the other trees. I seriously doubt that there are so many MaraSents that play combat. Most Ive talked with are watchman or focus. If Master STrike does 9k on the last "tick" Id like to see who did it and who he did it on. Prolly talking 1100 Expertise vs zero. Seen the Demolition round crits after a proper Grav spam? It actually DOES hit for 6.5 - 7k And you dont need BM gear for it. THe only thing I have seen as a Sentinel in 1.2 that should be addressed is the personal survivability of sorcs / sages. THey seem to drop a bit faster than Ops/scoundrels and commando/mercs. Apart from that - healing overall has been nerfed a little and people need to start caring for their healers when they get aggro. There is nothing wrong with evolution, and people shouldnt cry just because their bugged OP hybrid specc doesnt work any more. (Yes hello Sorcs and sages)

  4. You already added the protest remarks: "You are exaggerating" etc. So I will try to refrain from using those. But. I think the healing role has changed. Yes. THe fact that healers stop healing will only make life harder for your faction / team. You say Tank/healer combio is still strong, you cant kill anything, but you wont die either. Well. I dont see the problem with that. As a dps player, it is frustrating that you cant defeat a healer. In my opinion, a dps vs healer fight should come down to skill, all things equal. It used to be impossible for a dps to defeat a healer. Who would be able to heal himself and others a little bit while doing so. You still can. I saw it happen yesterday. THe difference is this: If you heal others while trying to stay alive, you will be eaten by someone who tries hard, and is skilled at, killing you. Imagine the frustration for dpsers pre 1.2 - Youd need at least two good dpsers to take down a healer. And it wouldnt necessarily happen in 10 seconds. Many classes die in ten seconds if focused by 2-3 people. healers should be protected by tanks and their team. In my opinion, people need to look at healers value more strongly after this and not just mark enemy healers for quick zerg kills, but protect their own. I feel your pain, but I think skilled healers will still be invaluable after this. Personally, I am even more determined to level my own healer fast so I can start healing in this game. I was fulltime healer in WoW, and I miss it. /Mallo

Im sure you are offended by the fact that another player is able to shut you down and maybe even kill you (probably because he popped his cds to **** you up, and you didnt pop yours to survive). What the rest of us have been offended by for quite some time is the fact that you were able to heal somebody else than yourself, plus yourself, WHILE we were trying hard to kill you. ANd we had a friend who was also trying to kill you. Now. Yesterday, I ravaged and destroyed quite a few players, most likely most of them were bad, undergeared, scrubs etc. I also had some nice fights against healers. THose I know are good players and have gear similar to mine.. GUess what? I couldnt kill them that easily. I admit Sages/sorcs go down faster than the other healing classes, but since this class has a lot more players, it also has more bad players. Id like to duel some sorcs/sages who spam heal themselves to see how "Horribly bad" their situation is.
  6. This is PvP oriented. I was watchman pre 1.2 and Im watchman now. I found the tough(er) decision to be about what to do with the talents both within watchman tree and the ones 31/ x / x In focus you can obtain sick crit chance buff on Slash, with zephyrean slash giving you zomg focus back. (Plus watchman tier 1 "FOcused slash" giving you 1 focus back per slash. Happy spamming.) You also get some more burst on your force attacks in tier 1. I also like that all tier 1 talents are useful and you can choose depending on playstyle. Master Strike is alot more useful now that it isnt interruptable, but still people can run out of range, and the reduced CD is pretty cool. Personally, I think there is only one talent in Watchman that can be called trash, and that is focused leap. 1 more focus per leap for 2 talents isnt worth it imo. I dont specc focused slash either, but Id definitely do that if I went for 9 talents in Focus. Watchman/focus build aka. Face slash specc That said, I opted for combat as my secondary talent tree when I specced after 1.2. I like the added survivability in PvP. 4% reduced damage from internal and elemental damage is sweet. Im not really sure how much dps I gain from Dual wield mastery as watchman, but I think Jedi Crusader is pretty much a bad talent. 1 extra focus per 3 seconds IF attacked IF you hae rebuke up.. Not impressive. Watchman/combat specc aka. Survival oriented watchman specc I think Im going to try the slash spam specc, but yesterday I felt very strong. Not that much more damage than I sid pre 1.2, but it did feel like a solid build.
  7. WHat the **** are you smoking? You seriously think 7.8k crits should be combined with constant full ammo? Please consider to think before you type.
  8. Important question: 1. Are people supposed to go from Recruit gear -> Battlemaster? 2. Is Centurion gear pimped? 3. Do you NOT need Valor rank 60 to use BM gear ?
  9. So. 1. Ranked Warzones are not going to happen in 1.2. 2. Recruit gear is purchaseable for credits. THis gear is as good as Centurion gear for PvP, but inferior in PVE. (Less stats, more expertise, no set bonuses) 3. War hero gear is purchaseable with Ranked Warzone commendations. WHich you can only get through trading your normalw warzone commendations 3:1. 4. Battlemaster gear is purchaseable with warzone commendations. 5. Since there isnt a ranked warzone system, there are no ranks, thus anyone can purchase War Hero gear. And you dont need to be rank 60 to use Battlemaster gear? 6. The difference between Battlemanster and War Hero is "only" cosmetical. Perhaps all ranks above 60 should be renamed to "Fooked by Bioware" ? Dont you see that people DONT want their game to give everything for free? That we actually WANT to have an element of grinding/skill to get our epix? If it is true that the warzone commendation cap is raised to 2k, let us assume that all BM pieces const 2k commendations, it means that you can fairly easily grind 1 BM item every other day by doing 10 wzs per day. And it doesnt matter if you win or lose, because you get commendations anyway. This is ABUSE of those players who did the grind, cried bitter tears over the stupid RNG system with the BM bags. Im soon rank 70 and I still need 10 BM tokens to be full BM geared. I should be happy that I now pretty quickly will be able to deck my character with full BM stuff.. But I can just as easily log a fresh lvl 50 character and buy the same gear since it doesnt have a valor rank requirement ? And the "Sorry guys, not implementing RWZs yet" comes the day before the patch is launched?? Im not saying Ill quitm but BW.. You WILL lose subscribers over this. Son. I am disappoint. /Mallo

  11. This. THis is an extremely important point that alot of people seem to miss. Tracer missile is a powerful ability. You can cast it three times. I realise it is hard to do, but since the resource mechanic is so different between the classes, the class that starts with 100% resource and works its way down to zero (and has a poor regen mechanic in combat) needs to be balanced by its Cooldowns. 2 Abilities can share a CD, for example, and make the COoldown shorter. If you have 2 abilities on a 45 sec timer, you can chain them. Bubble sprint. If both are on the same shared 30 sec CD, you need to choose. WHat I think this game doesnt have is a bit of the old "Hybrid tax". If one class speccs into healing - Give great healing. If you specc into healing/dps, you either need to put the real carrot talents up top or demand 31 points in one tree before you can start filling another. Putting awesome-talents around 20 doesnt work. Playstyle me all you want, but this is too much of a kick in the nuts for those few pure class classes. Right now, A Sorc/Sage is very powerful if he blows all his CDs and bursts someone down/uses his resources in Huttbal for example. If 1 team plays well, gets the ball and has 3 well played sorcs/sages (And it really isnt that hard..) they can score in what 12 seconds? I play Commando healer and Sentinel. As a Commando Medic, it is extremely frustrating to see Sages/sorcs do 150% of my healing and 200% of my damage done. That is not unusual. And I AM actually a skilled healer. As a Sentinel, I dont see Sorcs/sage as hilariously OP in 1v1, but if I dont have my CDs Im toast. Fast. Which is fine. Sentinel is supposed to be a glass cannon. I do think Sorcs/sage has a bit too many tools when you ADD the stupid amount of healing/damage resources. COmmando - No interrupt, No sprint or Pull. Sentinel - No knockback - Puny Sprint - No pull/sprint - No option to specc into healing...
  12. You are clearly mistaken. And even more clearly, you failed to comprehend the OPs marvellously written text, or you lost concentration halfway through. The Empire is Evil when looked upon by "our" standard set of ethics. However, if you play the Sith starter quests, you "begin to understand what it means to be sith". THis borked view of the world should give you enough "justification" to execute the most heinous acts in the name of "Justice". THe problem is, and I believe that is the point the OP is trying to make, that this screwed up view of the world feels hollow, and thus the evil acts are just pointless. In the Jedi storyline, you encounter a Sith who basically turns Jedi because he finds in the Jedi player a strength, honor and sense of loyalty he feels is lost with the Sith. Evil acts can be done when you have the right morale code for it. Pointless torture, cruelty and pointless genocide isnt what the Empire's Evil should be.
  13. Hello. I play both sentinel (Dps duh) and Commando Medic. Firstly, I find it strange that the OP is arguing that he should be able to kill either: 1 healer solo and/ or 1 dps who is healed by a healer. In this game, 2 v 1 situation usually end up being a loss for the solo guy. Admittedly, I have fought and killed 2 players with my sentinel, but I allways suspect my opponents are retarded when this happens. ALso. If 1 guy was able to kill my healing target or kill me while my partner dpsed him and the only thing I did was to try to stay alive.. Well. THen Id delete my commando. When I fight a skilled healer on my sentinel, it is hard to get them down, as it should be. I can either harrass them and kick most of their heals, or dps them properly and let them heal occasionally. It would be unfair if a dpser is able to destroy a healer without letting them either stay alive or heal someone else a bit. THe whole: WHaaa, I cant kill every other class with easy, I need a buff.. Not really rightful complaining, is it? /Mallo
  14. Change that fact and there will be people leaving the game. Im talking about those players who do not actively search for the "simplest most effective way", but the most challenging, rewarding and entertaining way. TracermissileTracermissileTracermissile - Id quit after 5 minutes.
  15. Combat is fun, more straightforward, perhaps than WAtchman. Same as for many other discussions, Id like to have a dps meter to check the difference between the two.
