  1. *WARNING - IA STORY SPOILERS* Im wondering what we can do as players to manipulate the IA story line. I tried looking for an IA story choice guide but couldnt find any. Ive completed the story on one operative and Im now lvl30 with my other one. Here is my beef: 1) I dont want keeper to be replaced by watcher 2 as keeper 2) I dont want to destroy the star cabal secret 3) I dont want Jadus and Zhorrid to interfere with Imperial Intelligence but I dont think this is possible, so Id rather have the info on how best to deal with them to have a minimum of sith interference in Imperial Agency matters 4) I dont want Imperial Intelligence disolved On point 4. If this ending with Imperial Intelligence being disovled is cannon/unchangable. This actually ruins the IA for me completely. Because it is poor writing, implausible, completely illogical and meaningless. Why? Because intelligence and information gathering is of major - if not a deciding factor in warfare. As Sun Tzu puts it in one way- "All warfare is based on deception". If the Sith are so brainless, retarded and stupid to shut down Imperial Intelligence - they are giving the republic a major advantage in the war. As I understood it in the story: The Sith shuts down Imperial Intelligence due to fear of them becomming too powerful? That is by most the worst and facepalm worthy thing Ive seen in the story. The Sith are brutal, powerful and is in NO WAY threathened by Imperial Intelligence. Imperial Intelligence and the dark council is like a symbiotic relationship in nature. From wikipedia: Symbiotic relationships are obligate, meaning that both symbionts entirely depend on each other for survival They are indeed dependant on eachother for mutual survival. Cutting off Imperial Intelligence is as if someone should cut off one of their own arms. As it stands, if this is not possible to change during the IA storyline. I will lose the respect and love for this class and for the Empire due to this horrid writing decision to the point I may aswell reroll Republic and hope their stories end in a way that isnt as ridiculous. So yeah, what exactly can we do to manipulate the story of our IA? Because if this isnt remedied IA story will go from my most loved one to the most hated one. Our choices should matter. If Imperial intelligence gets desolved nomatter what - then I feel every choice Ive made playing is completely meaningless -.- /Rant over
  2. Hey guys. How does this heal work on high levels? At my lvl it heals practicly NADA. Using talents on it seems pointless because even with 1-2 energy regen on crits, that is such a small energy recovery that points in chem resistant and layer seems a better choice. Convince me why its good?
  3. You can heal in cover? xD First thing I did at lvl3 with my first operative was removing cover from the bar. Never used cover in pvp or pve in any scenario ever. I wouldnt mind if they removed cover. Its probably the only ability I only ever used ONCE.
  4. Thanks for the reply I do tend to enjoy non-force classes more so I'll go for trooper then.
  5. Hey guys. IA story was so great... but I want to try a republican class now. Im just afraid that from the power hungry sith classes, Evil-James Bond/Jason Bourne personality of my IA, and the constant mass murder and flirting across the universe as imperial classes - I'll find the Republic classes, stories and conversation options utterly boring. I'm hoping I'm wrong ofcourse! I know you can play DS as republican classes too. But I want to play the more traditional good guy playing a republican class. I dont really like the theme of Scoundrel. I never found being a space pirate/smugler etc. appealing. So Im thinking Trooper or Consular atm. Mostly because I want to play a healer if I level the class up all the way. Based on this info, what Republican class would you reccomend me for: Story, Good romance (For males), DS/LS choice and so on? Im just afraid that after playing the IA - I'll find the republican class stories lacking.
  6. Please explain >.< According to common sense, a high alacrity rating would make you burn away your energy faster, not slower.
  7. I'm not 100% sure how cunning works. It says STR increases melee damage and cunning increases tech damage. Are all of the agent's skills based on cunning including heals? Or will strength make shiv , backstab and other melee abilities stronger?
  8. Typical. There are like 10 EU servers and the ONE server I chose is ofc down
  9. Yeah yeah, Im going to compare with wow - shoot me -.- But seriously, fights like Ragnaros, Illidan and the Lich King were extremely satisfying at all these points: 1) LORE 2) CHALLENGE 3) BUILD UP 4) WRITING 5) LOOT 6) VILLAIN PERSONALITIES / PRESENCE The only thing wow failed at here that SWTOR does good so far atleast is DIALOGUE. In WoW you had no oppurtunity to talk to your famous enemies and actually get a response. On the points mentioned, how well does SW:TOR execute them?
  10. Just like to add that I too think alacrity is underwhelming. power/surge/crit is already a 3-split commitment, go for alacrity aswell and you have too small a cake for the stats to share. My main beef with alacrity is that: 1) You need alot of points for it to be noticable good 2) Faster casting = faster energy drain, its alot better for your heals to hit hard, crit often, and crit good than running out of energy after 10 seconds due to spamming tonns of lesser quality heals. Suggestions if a Dev is reading this: Increase the benefit of alacrity early on and rather give the stat several more breakage points for diminnising returns.
  11. For some reason this made me laugh out loud He is not an ant, yet he is. It could have been an insult, but it is the truth. Simplistic yet artful. Ants arent interesting, but he is indeeed an ant. (English not my native language hard to explain fully x))
  12. Instead of doing this in the real world! If anything this is healthy.
  13. Thanks guys! My worries are gone I`ll continue my warrior then. On a companion basis Im glad to hear this aswell, as I love the SW companions way more than the SI.
