  1. No I don't thank EAware for blatantly gouging and lying to its playerbase about the repair cost calculations, and then facing the huge uproar backpedaling like there is no tomorrow. Why should I thank them? It would be like thanking the guy who just mugged you in the street for hitting you then he stop bashing your head against the wall and you tell him thank you? The people I thank are all the players who caused such an outcry that they forced EAware to back down. THANK YOU, THE PLAYERS, FOR MAKING YOURSELF HEARD.
  2. I had no crashes since launch more than a year ago, until the patch 1.6. And from then, I have had random CTDs playing the game. So no, it's not only the original poster's computer. The code is much more unstable than before. since 1.7, warzones and pvp also has deteriorated with charges into empty spots where the target was before and being stuck in nowhere space.
  3. thank you for the test. There are still Eaware drones in this thread but the fact is that you did a proper test and it just proves that EAware is either just straight out lying to its user base or utterly incompetent. Two downtimes this week, plus one cancelled at the last minute, plus another planned for a saturday prime time evening in Europe.
  4. Even with the same body type, the hitbox of male and female toons are not the same.
  5. it may be because some idiot map designer put the big container right next to the spawn point, so character with big hitboxes such as size 3 cannot fit between the teleport terminal and the container and the system yanks them back to starting point. At least that's what I think since I'm able to travel fine with my size 2 consular but not with my size 3 trooper. They've tested this patch thoroughly, that's for sure..
  6. it's so funny... so they release 1.7 without testing it, so the legacy unlock is missing and only the character perk is available. Then they release an emergency patch to fix it, but the fix is bugged because the unlock is not legacy wide. It would be funny if it wasn't about real money people are paying...
  7. it is just a planet story, like illum is. In itself the illum storyline was ok, but I found it was lacking in cohesion with the class stories that were in their interludes. A few references here and there in the dialogue as to my status, but it made little sense to ask the same missions from: So I don't think the planet story will be coherent with the class stories...
  8. 1- more exclusive armors in the cartel market 2- more exclusive mounts in the cartel market 3- more lottery packs in the cartel market I'm 100% sure I won't be left disappointed, as opposed to a lot of people in this thread. (Edit: Stradlin above will also get his wishes... )
  9. on the same idea as the timeline articles on the holonet, do you remember when the patch notes used to include some story, like when they removed the "big" speeders and introduced the cristal vendor and there was some blurb giving some pseudo business explanation? it was the nice touch that did not cost much but made it seem the guy who wrote it cared about the galaxy's story immersion... just like the holonet articles they stopped doing it.
  10. since last patch it happened to me three times, while before the patch I did not have any issue (apart from being locked on the character screen after logging out, but this was fixed..)
  11. I am fine with whatever business model they apply for content created after EAware went F2P. But Makeb was planned, financed and developped last year, long before James Ohlen even spoke about it at E3 in june 2012. This piece of content was shown in a trailer, along with Terror from Beyond, Ancient Hypergates and the new space missions. Makeb was already "paid" for by the subscribers in 2012, and all I'm seeing is that EAware is trying to gouge the 2012 subscribers by making them pay a second time. It's not about quantity or quality of the "expansion". It's about Eaware making the long time subscribers pay for Makeb twice. First, when we were subscribers in 2012, and a second time in spring 2013. No way for me.
  12. it used to not work, then it was fixed, then when they fixed the anomalies not spawning the bug came back and since then EAware has not bothered fixing it again, instead they've been adding new stuff in the cartel market. There are at least two other threads about this...
  13. Looking at the number of the new speeders any night on the fleet, I think they are sitting on a lot of cash...
  14. well we did get a cinematic for HK-51 which was included in the subscription and only a few missions long...
  15. not really, I don't intend to PAY a second time for Makeb which was already planned and financed last year by my subscription. So my remark above was highly ironic...
