  1. I've been on the lookout ingame & on here for a nice mature APAC/AUS guild too. Perhaps we'll be guildies soon? For any recruiters looking through this, I started playing on The Gav. So I've been around for the four years (holy crap...) TOR has been running. I've been in my current guild for just over that four year mark now, & I've been healing what raids we were doing for two & a half years now. To tell the truth I'm at the stage where I'm a little fed up with being the only person online in my guild anymore. I'm really quite very keen to have a chat with any APAC guild recruiters to get a feel of their guild & see if I can find a reason to play SWTOR again. No more of this... http://i.imgur.com/9kZlJJi.jpg
  2. Hiya! A friend & myself have been on the lookout for a nice guild. We're both APAC players that have been around since launch. Our previous guild has been on & off raiding for the past four years now, but unfortunately that seems to have dried up pretty good now. We're both pretty seasoned, between the two of us we'd have four or five odd years healing experience. & we're both pretty keen to start raiding & conquesting again. We're both looking forward to talking more about it. Thanks.
  3. I'm not entirely certain if I'm completely serious about making the move out of my current, small, comatose, lovely guild. I'm interested mostly at the moment in just testing the waters & seeing who's out there. I've had my sub running for ages without using it, I'd quite like to start back up in the game, so I've been thinking about throwing all of my time back into SWTOR. Originally I hail from Gav Daragon, I moved to Harby when they closed the servers down, & now I'm heavily considering moving my characters to BC for a fresh start. If I do decide to make the move I'd be looking a pretty active, really close knit bunch, I'm thinking a heavy APAC player base would suit the best. I'm pretty interested in raiding, I'm a fairly experienced Sage heals. I might consider RP but it's been around seven years since I've had much to do with it. I figured if I don't make the move soon I'm pretty likely to cancel my sub & toss the game into the drawer of CDs long past. Really I just want to get back to that type of guild that it wouldn't matter how bad the game was, you'd log in just to talk to them. So give me the hard sale.
  4. My game works fine but what I would recommend is to not touch the launcher if possible & wait for the next patch. A lot of stuff was screwed up in this patch. If you mess around with the launcher you might have a 20 odd gig download to do. That's happened to me before.
  5. Firstly I understand why they did this. Personally I was very disappointed in them for this. I get that it's expensive & time consuming & all the rest of it, but one of the sales pitches (at least before launch) was EVERYTHING was voiced. It was almost half the point of the entire game. I'm not hating on the KOTOR style dialogue selector, to be honest I think the game should have been done that way in the first place, but four years into the game is not the time to change this. They should have thought about this stuff in development. They should have thought that maybe it would get slightly expensive after several years of doing it instead of blindly spending the wad of cash they were given. I could get accustomed to the idea of no voices, even if it's just for daily stuff, but it's lazy as hell. I find myself wondering more & more why I bother spending the money on the subscription when full F2P games are better in many ways.
  6. If you're trying to say what I think you are I would send a ticket in. There's not much we can do here on the forums apart from tell you that if you delete the character you might loose the token depending on what level the character is. I've been told it's meant to give the token back if you're level 60 still but in my opinion it's a bit of a risk, I wouldn't trust their system not to screw up. So do not delete the character, just send a ticket in & see what they say. Just be aware you may be waiting a few weeks. This latest patch has screwed a lot of stuff up.
  7. So this has been something that's been bugging me for quite a while now. On my Assassin I have the Blademaster's Attenuated Saberstaff, where it sits on my belt is soooo annoying. http://i.imgur.com/Rfj6LnF.jpg Where they've placed the clip node doesn't even appear to be on the saber model it's self. I'm sure there are other sabers that are the same as this, they really need to move them to more sensible heights. The clip should be another five or six inches higher. I know it's probably pointless trying to get them to change it but I was bored & figured it might be an interesting & different topic.
  8. Heck I still don't even know if the idea is possible. For all I know the entire basis of the idea won't work because their head slot area has limited real estate. But why dwell on that when we can sit here & develop a really good system that works? And if it does work one day appearance armour might become an implemented system & you can have that mask, but the first step I believe is here.
  9. I've been playing MMOs for quite a while.. But that's proving my point though. They put housing in before a hood toggle... & I am by no means afraid to be proven wrong. I hope I am proven wrong by this because that means we'll get a hood toggle. I just want a system that will solve this issue.
  10. No no no.. you're still not getting it. Here is a picture explaining the idea. It does not involve removing any hood in a modeling suit AT ALL, the system is already in the game! & please read me explaining it. Image One: This is the current look, okay. This is either with a helmet not displayed or not worn. Image Two: Pay attention to the hood & chest piece. With the helmet on they disappear on their own. THIS is the system that will do all the work. Image Three: The idea here is the "Helmet" is the hood draped around the shoulders. The hood IS the headpiece. It has nothing to do with the chest bit or anything like that. http://i.imgur.com/ooHBJPm.jpg Now I understand the point with the not being able to use a mask at the same time, but try to realize that we're never getting hood toggle. People need to stop suggesting it & come up with better ideas. If you don't like my idea or think it can be improved, tell me how it can be improved. I'm not saying you can't disagree with my solution.. but at the very least help refine it so that we can get developer attention for a change & maybe get the ball rolling. Hood toggle is never going to be a thing. They've quite seriously been "developing" this one (debatable) little feature for two years & ten'ish months. If you want the ability to have a hood down with mask or what ever then help think of a way to do that. Don't just sit there & say no this is a crap idea or what ever. Help refine the idea. I see the suggestion box as a think tank forum. This is where ideas need to be nurtured & improved. It's very easy to get caught up in negative things on a forum these days, but the suggestion box should be a place of more or less positive thinking & constructive criticism. Mark Zuckerberg didn't refine Facebook by himself. The entire aviation industry wasn't refined by one person. It takes multiple people to bounce ideas off of to have a working system. That's just the way things are. Either this or they release duplicates of all chest pieces with the hood down.
  11. This is soooooo an open door for a minigame! THE POSSIBILITIES!!! +1
  12. +1. There are a couple of other threads on this but meh, the more the merrier! C: Star Trek Online has this feature & it's great. I've been wanting this for a while now. My main problem with the restarting of characters to see the story again is I get attached to my characters. So even if they look the same I'll know they're not. I want to watch the scenes again & relive those awesome memories. Some people record all of their cutscenes but I just don't have the hard disk space for that.
  13. +1 I don't often find myself doing Heroics, when I do I generally just run it with my guild. But I do see a lot of people LFGing in chat. So the desire is obviously there.
  14. This is why forums just don't work anymore. How about we share ideas that might help a certain system work instead of just throwing every point aside & saying it's ****. I know it's not the best idea, but what idea is without a constructive conversation to help blossom that idea. No one person can come up with the best solution for something, it's a group effort. The only way anything ever gets done is if there is construction for the solution. Everyone is just suggesting that there needs to be a toggle, no-one is having any other ideas on how to achieve the same result. Because the reality is it's been almost three years since they've promised this feature & we still do not have the toggle option. They are clearly not capable of doing it. This idea, in my opinion, cuts the need for a lot of code. For Bioware this is a very good thing, it's literally just a head piece.
  15. I see what you're getting at here. Being a pretty much pure rep player this never really crossed my mind. Though one solution I can think of is having head slots that add the folded hood & a mask? Might need to wait a bit longer for the development time on it though. That's the best my thinking can take me, anyway.
