Those $5 are deducted from your actual purchase price. Unless you actually did pay $5 extra... which means GS ripped you off. Of course this is an old opinion, I'm just tired of people repeating the same misnomer.

Tired of people saying they deserve EGA. The EGA is free game time not taken from your 30 days. If you had canceled your pre-order you could have gotten a full refund but still played EGA on BW's dime. You're not entitled to free game time, despite whatever your selfish ego may tell you. People who buy the game post-launch will pay the same price as you and get no more than 30 days (or whatever they paid for), when the only thing that separates you and them is time, and time is the exact same thing that separates people who got 7 days of EGA and those who got 3. Bioware doesn't owe you any EGA time. To most people they've given you more EGA time than you expected when you initially pre-ordered. How many other launches have given players up to 7, and usually 5-6, days of totally free gaming? I bought 30 days of game time. I expected to start Dec. 20. Anything extra is bonus, so thanks Bioware. And no, I'm not jealous of people who got more free time than me. I don't get jealous of other people getting gifts. If you do, you have bigger problems than video games.

They gave 90% of the fanbase 4-7 FREE days of play (does not deduct from the 30 days), and they don't care about you? Jesus christ.

And I asked why would he care about level playing field if he's not even remotely competitive. Why is that so hard to understand? I don't go into WOW and demand everybody start over because I missed the boat by 11 years or however long.
