  1. This is what I have come up with for a bud of mine, http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GGbRbd0dZZf0cRsMz.1
  2. I find last patch fix my issue with ability delay. The random gearing is insanely frustrating. I see people ten ranks lower than me fully champ geared, while I have 3 champ 2 cent.
  3. I agree. But the competitive environment is where BW can really look to refine what needs to be done (IMO, stuns need nefs!). In addition to combat logs. I just feel it's closer to balance than Cata is.
  4. Herp WoW > Swtor? The kid seemed intelligent and really disappointed that Swtor isn't WoW, but to each his own. edit, I quit WoW in Cata after the AMAZING Wotlk because, guess what, it wasn't balanced. RDruids were garbage, Rshamans were gods. Niche specs, like prot, were killed. Mutilate rogues were pve only, destro locks were weaker than ice lance spamming mages, who in frost specs were also gods. WoW was great, and Mists does look great, but currently Swtor is better. It just lacks the competitive environment that WoW Arena had.
  5. Without cooldowns Marauders are very squishy. Add to that two of the three specs have no healing/heal on 2min cd; all specs are easily kited; the burst is lower than other classes, the sustained damage is mid-to-high compared to other classes. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Marauder, and tend to do well in what we are: damage, but we are by no means in a good position when it comes to BW's plan for pvp. You, me, or any forum poster might be able to be top 3 dmg, cap the ball twenty times a round, or hold off a group of republicans trying to bomb teh base, but that doesn't account for the rest of the 99% who can't. Those people can roll a sorc/op/merc and press three buttons to win; and it's not a minor difference, it's hugely noticeable. Marauders require more attention/work to do comparable, at best, or less than the other classes. Marauders aren't balanced. They can succeed when played right, but other classes in the same hands would do better (and be a greater asset to the team).
  6. I think it's largely due to WoW's "Can't do that right now." I agree there really is no reason not to have the game's sound going when you have a video. Either you can have its sound in the background, or the music. Just don't have them at the same volume. That said, pvp skills seem subpar (no offense), both in your skill and your opponents. You should take clips from a larger sample where you do great (win vs impossible odds, epic 1v1s, xv1s, etc), imo. The editing seems to me like you have a good enough handle on it, now you just need to play better and be more patient with gathering good footage. Keep it up
  7. I pug Warzones, and in my experience Repubs absolutely destroy us. I figure the smaller population creates more familiarity and the few hardcore pvpers they have know they are going to need competent heals, and thus spec healing. Like another poster mentioned, Empire rarely seem to have more than one healer, and the Republicans have two or more. We outzerg them pretty hard in Illum, though.
  8. Last holding the ball is best for a competitive game/match. When it gets down to 2min left, and both teams are tied, it becomes a scramble to either score or hold the ball. That makes for an action packed 2mins, which is in my opinion exhilarating. I can understand the frustration if you get a few lucky caps and the premade, with its heals and coordination, manage to easily fend off your attacks for the last two minutes; but that's a skill problem, not game rules.
  9. Since most recent patch this has been happening to me very, very often. It's making what I enjoy doing (pvp) extremely frustrating. I can't help but wonder what my opponent is thinking when the marauder that's beating on him suddenly looks away and stands stupid for a second. I have a Logitech g500.
  10. I finished this at 48 using the Rage spec. The first phase I used Jaesa and every cooldown I had. Next phase he stomped me repeatedly even with Quinn. What I did was leave the area, head back to the fleet, bought Quinn some shiny new gear/mods, and a few powerful health packs. Went back and destroyed him.
  11. I love Huttball. Voidstar and Ald are awful maps that are poorly designed and reward zerging, not skill/intelligence. When we can single queue WZ, I will be 100% HB. And I play a marauder.
  12. I love Rage, and level 40+ is where it truly shines. You get huge Smash crits and cheap snares.
  13. On the three faction idea... what if the side with the higher numbers got split into a third faction? Say, we queue and it puts you into either Sith or Rakatai (or whatever works). Premades would still be grouped together. Only for Illum, though.
