  1. I did a search on this and the only threads I came upon was years old, so, thought it better to start a fresh one. I'd like to suggest the addition of a few accessibility features similar to what a few other MMOs have done - especially for the visually impaired. Everything in SWTOR has was already quite glowy and sparkly, and bright, and... well, the latest expansion's UI changes didn't help. The new item tooltips are especially bad: I can't read light blue/yellow text with a glowing outline on a neon green background, or neon purple, or different shade of shiny blue. And I can't read a text that looks like it's 6-8px size when my global interface scale is set on 1. A few features that I myself would like to see added, that'd help me tremendously in making this game more playable: The ability to tone down / turn off some combat animation visuals. Colorblind modes for the most common types of full/partial color blindness. Ability to remove UI text glow and/or increase contrast. Ability to set UI text size/scale outside of tuning the Interface Global scaling. The ability to remove the colored background of the header for the new tooltips - or restrict it to just a strip on the left or right side of the header. In it's current state, I have to use workarounds in order to be able to figure out what most UI elements and the tooltips say. The UI I click around to figure out to see what happens and then put it to memory. Items are linked in the chat (which I've set to large enough scale to make out the colored names) so I can read their names. And I ask friends to read/type tooltip text explanations of abilities/skills/quest items etc for me. I'd like to play more, but the strain to my eyes keeps giving me headaches.
  2. Hello Idnewton, Overall I think that Level Sync is a decent change, and I agree it is beneficial overall. Although I am among those that think it should be a toggable option rather than forced upon everyone. I didn't plan to post, but saw your post here and since you asked I thought I'd give my list of why's. First of all: Why are people pathetic for getting money through dailies? It's a very viable option. Or becoming a millionare doing lazytown slicing Yavin boxes and selling real-money bought items for credits the way the cool kidz go now? And before you say anything: I majorly make my money through the GTN, without selling CM stuff, but I do augment my income with dailies simply because my collection habits are expensive. My credits spend on collections of pets, mounts, regen items, gear sets and more bought is up in the ~200-250Mil range. Just to give a perspective. Anyways, onward to my list. While an MMO is made to allow for being social while gaming, there are times where I simply do not feel like playing with others. And I do not want to feel forced to go to another game just because I want to game but do not feel like gaming with others for a night or two. There is plenty enough space in an MMO for choosing that. I do not have unlimited time. I am already struggling to do all the things I want to get done - I am roleplaying, doing flashpoints and ops, trying to earn enough credits to get around through dailies, levelling alts, running a guild, doing achievements, collecting pets/mounts/toys and more. But I only have 4-5h a day. Grinding is not my definition of fun. Me wanting to roflstomp through the daily areas has nothing to do with me wanting to overpower it because I am a terrible player, but it does have to do with it being tremendously boring and repetitive. Doing it with a group or solo makes no difference, it's still horribly boring. If I want to do my HK questline or finish up the Droid Reconnaisance achievement, or do the macrobinocular/seeker questes, I simply do not want to spend hours upon dead hours having to kill mobs I have been scaled down to in order to finish these. They are really long questlines as they are. I am roleplaying. Our group often travelled all across the galaxy to do our story quests and events. Having to interrupt our RP over and over to clear an area we want to RP would just be beyond frustrating. I don't need a challenge everywhere. I am very fine with my heroic flashpoints, hard mode / nightmare mode raids, endgame level heroics, worldboss killing and jump-a-tron datacron/seeker/macro challenges. And really - scaling down to a planets level doesn't make the planet more] challenging anyway - just more tedious. Why should I bother even doing endgame content and try improve my gear if I won't get any sense of accomplishment out of it? Me being level 65 and having awsum epixx wouldn't matter a thing if I get downscaled wherever I go anyway. Now with that said - there are good sides to level syncing as well, which is why I would like to see it implemented but toggable. The ability to make content at your level if you want to, hang out and help friends at lower level without eating their xp and making it feel more like proper levelling together, augment my levelling experience by being able to go back and all the other positive features people have pointed out are good. Me level syncing or not will have absolutley no impact on anyone but myself, so why is it such a big issue? Just like 12xXP being on or off matters to no one but me. Level sync is nice overall, as said. But please, don't force it down my throat.
