  1. The name was dumb. But was that really a reason to jump on the "WE'RE SO, SO, SO SORRY WE OFFENDED A FEW CRAZY ENTITLED PEOPLE" crap... Fatman was derogatory to walmart shoppers... Im pretty sure Harbinger can be seen as derogatory to a certain fictional alien race of sentient machines...
  2. I just wish Bioware would stop doing this... Im pretty sure Andromeda still hass issues because everyone was focused on "fixing" Hainley Adams (the forced trans NPC noone cares about) about 6 times because crazies screamed "offensive!"
  3. Nah I meant in general, not just around here... people running around like they are owed anything, minute to minute updates to whats going on... Its not gonna happen... Ive seen people ***** like, say this thread that "not enough is being done" when well... the first post in this thread is more than you can ask for... what do you want to see? The bioware Agile Boards? The bug reports and their comments? FFS things are being done... people need to stop acting like they know better than the devs or people actually involved in making games... all games... And no its become toxic because its become overrun by SJWs who think they can sue companies because "reasons" because they know better.
  4. yes. for multiple reasons. Including but not limited to: Making the Problem worse before they can deal with it. for clarity's sake: They cant bring more attention to the "exploits" they keep trying to fix as this would hurt more than it would help. In the background you can be sure they are trying to fix things not "Sitting back and taking our money" seriously the gaming community has become toxic in the couple years..
  5. Yeah! Its almost as if the "Fix Everything Button" wasnt a real thing
  6. again 4 weeks isnt a long turnaround time for a fix... neither is 6 really... depending on what was going on behind the scenes when they tried to fix it... it might seem simple to people but people dont get that fixing one thing has the huge potential of breaking something else... whats the point in fixing an exploit if it opens another? It needs to be tested and it cant get fixed and pushed live right away... they have to test around it and test a lot of things to make sure these things aren't going to break... thats not something that can be done in a few hours...
  7. Nah im just tired of people acting like they know ****, can point out incompetence, can point out how things should have been done in 5 minutes and yet have absolutely no knowledge of what they are talking about... but no, keep going... Maybe you can point out how much you know of Quantum Physics next and then give **** to actual physicists for not having invented time travel yet...
  8. Id like to know what you know of coding games? How about game release? (including patches) can you write a bug even?
  9. An exploit like that, its unlikely this wasnt bumped up... a lot... Ive worked in the field long enough too but I also know that six weeks isnt that long to get a fix in that works... also people dont get that the patches for at least the NEXT two weeks are set in stone and are just being tested with fixes going in only for major (Like 100% crash) bugs so in reality this was probably fixed MORE than two weeks ago but not pushed to the live branch yet... Again im gonna stand with the Devs on this one because they know a lot more about how games work than the 17 pages of "PRESS THE FIX NOW BUTTON SOONER" in this thread...
  10. And you cant tell me you dont think there was a reason for it taking this long. They tried things, it didnt work, it bounced back and forth because SOMEHOW it broke the entire GTN or made people lose items... something like that... but please dont join the "HIT THE FIX BUTTON NAO" crowd... you know it doesnt work that way.
  11. Meh then you know simple fixes can break more than they fix... there's a reason why it took that long and I don't pretend to know why... but I hope you know it wasnt laziness or some other "IM OUTRAGED AND KNOW NOTHING OF GAME DEVELOPMENT" reason right?
  12. Ive seen people say things like "I AM STREAMING AND NEED THIS BUG FIXED RIGHT NOW!" and then we get the CS report 2 days later and then a bug goes in the DB And then that fix is debated between 3-4 Devs over a few days And then the first attempt to fix is put in... It might not work And then we retest it, if its fixed it goes in the next patch, if its not fixed it stars over from step 3 if the fix breaks things worse then its another *****torm while devs try and fix it as best they can And then it comes back to us for testing... BTW thats all IF as a QA tester we were able to reproduce it with little more than "GAME IS BROKEN PLZ FIX" if not the bug goes in the DB as a tracking issue which gets tried a few times and then we wait for more reports to come in with more info... I dont test for this game, EA or Bioware, but its the same process in all game studios...
  13. As a QA tester... please stop assuming the "Fix Now" button is a thing. Kthx
  14. I like going solo, grouping is annoying... grouping with idiots who want me to spam the cutscene skip button is even worse... yeah im not going to skip. Ill take my time... deal with it.
