  1. That's the great thing about programming..if it can be programmed it can be done...unless the engine doesn't allow adaptation, which would make it useless for an MMO then it can be programmed. It just has to be higher on Bioware's priority list and right now they're still trying to address the primary concern with the game which is lack of stuff to do at endgame.
  2. The problem with that is it requires manual updating. It would be a far cry more useful tool if Bioware made their own Armory that communicated directly with the servers.
  3. Anyone who thinks the Armory is only for ePeen waving doesn't know what the armory gives you.. there's a world of offline minmaxing that opens up with having an armory similar to WoWs.. askmrrobot could have an actual optimizer for the game like it does for WoW.. sites like wowheroes and be.imba can be mirroed for SWTOR so people can check to see if their gear is ready for the next raid. There's a plethora of offline tools that having an armory opens up for people
  4. OK Bioware I know its only the first day of the event but already I'm feeling the Rakghoul event was better implemented. If this event is something that will be reoccurring here is what I would like to see improved upon: new lead quests: I see comparisons to the rakghoul quests as they too were staggered, but here's one fundamental difference. Even though the rakghoul quests were spread out, they were completable right out of the starting gate.. doing the "come back later" just confuses and frustrates people. When I left one of the droids there was about 10 people justs sitting there waiting for it to be 'later". If you are not ready for the people to complete the quest, then don't release it until you are. Stagger the quests over a few days like you did with the Rakghoul event. Spawn times: 10 minutes for respawns are a bit ridiculous, especially when you throw a random pet element in the mix. Please lower the spawn timer on the chests so that more people can attain them and then move onto the next quest. Starting of the event: OK you've got this huge hologram and the event starts on this liiiiitle itty bitty terminal.. either let us click the giant hologram to start the event or make the console bigger.
  5. Like perhaps the patch we had last week? They're not exactly going to put a surprise event in the patch notes.. at least they didn't for the Rakghoul event.. at this point I think its safe to assume the assets are already in the game (especially considering the fact that Torhead has the event data mined) so really we just have to wait for whatever internal spawn timer Bioware set to go off.. kindof annoying that they announced it so soon before the event actully started.. I wasnt there fior the first few hours of the rakghoul event but didn't it start like within an hour of the announcement going live?
  6. look again.. both of the posts he quoted are saying the same thing in different ways.. its a 1% increase to all crafting, not just augmentable items.. so if you craft augments and buy the first rank it will increase your chance to crit by 1%
  7. Thank you for clearing up the mix up.. nice to know that there are some individual legacy perks that are useful to 50s
  8. that's not what was being referenced.. the poster was QQing about the potential lost crit rate since the patch went live..which was 3 days.
  9. I personally don't think that giving people the freedom to choose the server they want to go to would be a good move at this stage of the game. Routing people to specific servers guarantees that the destination servers WILL be populated., If you give the freedom to go wherever you want, you will still have the issue of some servers being populated and some starving for people. I think what we are seeing right now is a bit of a rerun of what happened when the game went live.. you've got more concurrent logins than usual as people are setting up shop in their new home.. things like re-establishing guilds, testing the waters of getting pugs and warzones together, things of that nature.. once the initial rush of people start to level off the servers that are currently queuing will start to normalize.. and at any rate, the highest I saw the queue get last night was around 10 minutes.. Ill take a 10 minute queue over a barren server any day, but that's just me.. On a related note, what are the odds a CM might be able to provide us with a roadmap as to what servers will be transfered atnd when?
  10. Same here. I filled it out originally a week ago when the signups first went p and then twice yesterday after seeing that i hadnt been added. When I did it yesterday since there wasnt much clarity in regard to whether you wanted just the forum name or the full account name (email address) i did both and still no character copy. I also received no confirmation that the form was submitted.. it looked more like a form that a phiser would use then something specifically from Bioware
  11. I have a question regarding Imperial Agent Medics. Looking at Tionese, Columi, and Rakata gear there is an emphasis on Alacrity even though it is reportedly one of our least necessary stats. Black Hole gear seems to have resolved this, but are there any plans on modifying the gear with set bonuses so that Alacrity can be replaced with a more important stat, or if not removed completely, possibly reduced and put the extra points in power, surge, or crit?
  12. not sure why this got transferred to general from PTR forums since it is regarding PTR *shrugs*
  13. I was interested until I hit 50 and then I became less interested.. There are a few things that I think are missing, although many of those things are coming in 1.2 so we'll see if that helps
  14. It seems counter productive to have a PTS without character tranfers. I would imagine theres a great deal of demand to test this patch as its one of the first major content patches in the game, but endgame content in 1.2 is likely to remain buggy as there will likely be only a handful of 50s to test it.
  15. Its not really clear whether Kaliyo and Scorpio favor Absorption or Defense in regards to tanking.. does it matter? Are both equally acceptable just behave differently (ie mitigation versus evasion)?
