  1. Hey all, I just read the last few responses on this thread. If you look earlier in the thread, I posted about my situation: I live in SK, and my guild transferred. I also got a lot of copy/paste responses after reading this thread and submitting a ticket. But I persevered. I sent a response to every cut/paste, hammering them for not reading it. Eventually, it was read. I was contacted in game by a CSR so awesome I would have given her my firstborn. I got my transfers
  2. Dantooine. A no brainier considering its importance in KOTOR 1&2. There are endless possibilities. PVP zone, PVP planet, quest chain, flashpoint. Whatever you want to do, you can do, and you can do it with an awesome backstory to pull from. Naboo. Actually... Just Theed. Either a PVP warzone (Battle for Theed) or flashpoints. Sith need to capture a pristine Theed and send the queen into exile. Republic have to recapture a devastated Theed and put the queen back on the throne. Yavin IV. A quest series leading to a flashpoint. The temple of Exar Kun. There's some nasty stuff in there
  3. Allow us the option to make certain toolbars visible on mouse over. Allow us the option to make a toolbar visible only in combat or out of combat. Buffbars with option to hide certain buffs (sprint, etc) for self and target(s). Better proc indicators. Text is fine. Watching toolbars is unfun Snap to grid. Transfer key binds across characters.
  4. Since my guild moved, I got my 2nd toon to 50. Now I can't create another because, if I do, it probably won't transfer. And there's no way I'm leveling another without my legacy benefits. I've no reason to login since Bioware took away my MMO and left me with an RPG.
  5. It seems the biggest problem is that CSR's need to update their copy/paste responses. Or be taught how to read. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=439733
  6. Hi, It's 10pm here. I just logged onto my server. It's crazy. Check it out!. This is 10pm on a Sunday evening. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11198933/SWTOR/lolswtor.jpg Last week it was pretty busy. Now it isn't. I wish I lived in Asia instead of South Korea. Then I could have transferred when everybody else did. /unsubscribe
  7. Not true. I've had my ticket escalated, and the supervisor sent the same copy/pasted response, with the added suggestion that I re-roll. I'd rather unsubscribe.
  8. I can live with increased latency. I can't live with a server with 8 people on fleet during my prime-time, no ops, and no warzones. Right now, it feels like my MMO turned into a single player game. Except it's a single player game with the same missions repeated forever (I hate dailies). I'd start a new alt, but the 28th February cut-off makes that kinda pointless, and I'm not starting over on a new server and losing all my legacy. So... I wait. You can do a few things to improve your latency, btw. I found that switching off error correction in my router helped a LOT. From Korea it was 450-600 for Oceanic servers, but I got it under 300 with that little trick
  9. Does this include Korea? Is Korea in Asia may sound like a dumb question, but so far it hasn't been included by Bioware. As a result, my once thriving server is dead. Last night, at prime time, 13 people on fleet. That's down from ten times that during the plague. Anyway... I'm hoping it's included, as I'm not waiting until Summer. I don't really care about latency at this point... I just want to rejoin my guild. EDIT: I guess not
  10. Can you release any details about character transfers (when will they be available, how much will they cost, etc) for those Asian players not included in the APAC transfers? Many of us are saying goodbye to our guilds this week, and would like to know when we will be reunited.
  11. I've been asking to be included since the transfers were first announced. I live in Asia. I've been in game since early access. Now everybody on my server is transferring to an Aussie server, and I'm being left behind. As happy as I am for my Australian guildmates, it's poor form to split communities like this. I reckon I'll be the only person on The Jekk'Jekk Tar during my timezone from next week. So what went wrong? Well... I live in Korea. That, according to Bioware, isn't Asian enough to be considered for Asian server transfers. If you really are going to work to ensure that "everyone who wants to be included is handled correctly" then please do something about this. I'm sure I'm not the only person in this situation! I've brought it up on the forums a number of times (but never had a straight answer) and I've just got off the phone with the US Customer Service team. They were sympathetic, but ultimately unhelpful. I'm sure there SOMETHING that can be done. I love this game and want to play it for years to come... but I don't want to have to start over (I already did that after getting to 50 on a Euro server) and I want to continue playing with the ops group I've been running with for the past few months. Do the right thing, and flick the switch on my account so I can transfer with my guild. If we're honest, you CAN do it. Or you can CHOOSE not to. Let me know that you care about a strong community as much as you care about a strong game
  12. Moved from Customer Service to General Discussion? How is this NOT a customer service issue?
  13. I did a quick google search for the following terms: Asia Pacific map Every single map listed showed the Asia Pacific region to be much larger than area defined by Bioware. When this game launched, I was super-excited. I ordered from the UK and had it shipped to Korea. I rolled on a European Server, and levelled a Sith Inquisitor to 50. But the timezone was a horrible match for me. I played with alts, and got into the high 30's with a BH and Sith Warrior, but I realised that I had to do something if the game was to keep my attention. The server (Legions of Lettow) was busy, but there were no regular ops groups to be found during my playtime. I play MMO's for the fun to be had in the community, so I headed over to one of the 'unofficial' Oceanic servers, TJJT. I found a great group of people to play with - mostly Australian players with a couple of other expats in Korea. My Jedi Knight made 50, and we started working through the ops at our own pace, having a lot of fun. Prior to the launch of the Asia Pacific servers, TJJT was BOOMING during our busy time. Now, it isn't. Most of the Australian players are already enjoying their low pings, levelling alts, waiting for their character transfers to come available. Last night, at 10pm local time, there were 13 people on the Republic Fleet. The community is DEAD - though thriving on the Australian servers. I'm happy to wait for a transfer, but PLEASE allow all players in the Asia Pacific region to transfer at the end of April. I realise that my ping will be worse. I don't care. I want to play with friends. I know that transfers will happen, but the canned response of "wait for an announcement about server transfers" isn't helpful. What I should do in the meantime? I have a few options: Start leveling again on the Asia-Pacific server? Then I lose gear/progression and possibly a raid spot (can't expect people to wait forever). If transfers are then allowed, I have wasted potential legacy xp. Level an alt on my main server? What if you decide to charge for transfers, and charge per character? I may have 3 or 4 alts that I then need to transfer... sure, that's $$$ for Bioware, but it's a shoddy way to treat a customer. Wait and see? Well... that's great, but how long do we wait? There are no HM's going on since my server population dived. I could level an alt, gain legacy, and have fun with the new 1.2 skills, but then I may have to wait until August for a transfer. Perhaps transfers will only be allowed to certain servers (low/medium pop servers) and my planned server will be ineligible. In that case, I'd be better off leveling an alt on the new server so I could fill my own raid spot before somebody does it for me. Of course, that means abandoning my 2nd geared character since the game launched, but that's better than having to start all over again on a new server, find a new compatible group, and gear up a new character when most of the server have tired of the content I would need to do in order to compete. If you are unwilling to open up Asia Pacific transfers to ALL Asia-Pacific countries, then at least communicate your intentions for server transfers. I know of one person that has quit the game over this, and another that rarely plays because any progression may be wasted. I'm getting to that point myself... Why should I play when any decision I make regarding my character is made based on an element of chance - the chance that Bioware MAY allow me to transfer the character within a reasonable amount of time to the server of my choosing. The element of chance can be removed instantly if Bioware just communicate their plans for server transfers!
  14. Dark charge + healer pet for elites, even as deception spec. Gear your healer well. For DPS, take the gear off Talos and put it on Andro. Makes the investment in oranges VERY worthwhile. If bosses spot you before you can maul, you're doing it wrong. You don't even need to use blackout. Approach from the side/rear and use Mind Trap as soon as you are in range. Stand behind him and open as soon as your force is full. Use your interrupt. It has a short cooldown for a reason. Use your stuns (including low blow - fairly short cooldown) as interrupts. Your knockbacks also interrupt. No reason to be hit by a channelled spell Discharge in dark charge gives an accuracy debuff. It's nice. You also have your saber ward (not sure if that name's correct - 2 minute defensive cooldown) that you can use early... Use blackout for force regen boost as soon as its up (45 seconds). If your 20 min cooldown is up, use it for tough fights. Then there's the other ability that gives increased healing when dark charge procs. As your pet is ranged, he shouldn't be hit. That makes using sacrifice a no brainier in tough fights. Pet heal stuns can take the edge off this. I did 1-50 solo as deception. my assassin has 0 social points. Does it feel weak at times? Sure. It's awesome at 50, though
