  1. Echoing Lundorff's words, any spec can be totally viable in PVP. It just depends on your knowledge with the class and how well you can play it, how well you can kite and LOS etc. Juggs can most certainly be good in PVP, if you know your strengths and boundaries of the class. I.e. when you're out of DCDs, you better be prepared to run and kite.
  2. There isn't a single PT/VG or shadow/sin nearby which are the only two classes which I'd imagine come closest to pulling this sort of effect off. The allied sorc on the catwalk doesn't use force pull, nor does the guardian initially attacking OP use force push. It is simply down to holotraverse being buggy. That's it. Pure, plain and simple. There's nothing else here. Yes we all have weird stuff happen on some classes, but those are rare instances. I've had interesting stuff happen on sniper, but I've been killed more times with my sin's phantom stride. I've not even fallen through the ground by using force leap/charge, intercede or whatever, but holotraverse and phantom stride remain perhaps the buggiest abilities in the game.
  3. To say Holotraverse has the same issues as leap or roll is a blatant lie. I've never seen an operative die by rolling, but I certainly have seen an operative slingshotted into the stratosphere and killed instantly. BioWare "tried" to fix it by adding a small GCD to it, as someone mentioned earlier, and again it made the classes feel more clunky than fix the actual issue because it still happens. Holotraverse works most of the time, but there are ofc instances where it doesn't. And BioWare hasn't found a way to slap a band-aid on it.
  4. I myself am an Aussie and play on DM from the East Coast, in my experience I haven't found lag to affect combat greatly. I get about 200-300ms, sometimes 300+ and it generally affects the smaller nuances of the game. Say if I'm playing sniper and I want to go into cover, there'll be a slight delay of about half a second or so before my character enters cover. Sometimes it affects my attempts with LOSing another player. Generally a 50/50 as to whether when I peak out behind a box or whatever I can use an ability instantly, or if the, "Cannot see target" message appears. It's not absolutely horrid how lag affects combat, you can certainly learn to adapt and play around things.
  5. Just a quick simple suggestion, which I'm sure might not be shared with a lot of players. I'd love to see a stronghold location for Hoth. Somewhere out in the vast expanse of Hoth over looking the icy tundra. We've got Coruscant and Dromund Kaas as opposites, Yavin and Rishi are a little bit opposite to each other with jungle and beach I suppose respectively, would be nice to have the opposite to Tatooine being Hoth. That and I'm a huge fan of the Chiss race and Csilla being their icy homeworld, Hoth is the next best thing we've got. Thoughts on any other SH locations you'd like to see added?
  6. So I've yet to wrap my head around this mythical and mysterious ELO thing. I.e. if a teammate of mine leaves during the arena and I'm on the losing side, why do I lose 10 points, while the opposing team gains say 8 points? It seems I constantly lose more points than I win. Especially after being trapped in a cycle of 1 win followed by 1 loss, I gain 12 points for the win but lose 13 points for the loss following. But then the other thing is, who's idea was it to add mats to the ranked queue rewards for the daily and weekly? Like it just baffles me to add something to a system where players are trying to win, yet are sometimes hindered by those who have no interest in PVP and play it for mats, making it a 3v4. It'd be like playing Dota 2 or LoL ranked, but instead you get 1 mythical cosmetic for every 10 games or something. You'd get a majority of players who want to play for their rank and be on the leaderboard... but then they're gonna be those players who couldn't give a flying **** and only want the cosmetic. What was so bad about keeping an expertise cap on being allowed to queue for ranked, and what was so bad about having 2 separate gear sets for PVE and PVP?
