  1. I agree, I wanted to do Havoc squad orange with all my troops too, or blue like the security forces, or even the same green as the mod-able chest peace you can get from the store but the only way to get that green is to give all my guys the same chest peace defeating the point of mod-able gear. I want the color but I want different armor that better suits there roles.
  2. I have 2 replies. 1. Tanks , I want a ground vehicle version of Galactic star fighter with more stuff I can blow up. because.... boom!! 2. Secondly I made a long post in 2012 with a ton of ideas and its just way to much to add here. Enjoy if your interested. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=172159
  3. The New BG is going to be a "Field control" map like Alder-an but only 2 control points, mixed with a "Slayer" map. If no one manages to control both point for the game it goes to who has the most kills, so I can see most fights just being slayer fests. So what do you think? My Guild mate Aravos posted: Interesting... im sure itll be players killing others rather then playing objective based, as usual. It tend to agree, it will be interesting basically have a slayer map. Hope it works out well but I wonder if it might be helped by some tier 2 equivalent turrets that way if you don't have tear 1 or a full set of tier 2 you don't just die over and over, you could defend choke points on the map and it would not nullify gear because you would be vulnerable to hirer tier gear as you try to get to them or if you are fighting in open field because you can't find a free turret or just because that is where the action is.
  4. All the debat is fine and dandy but when it comes down to it I just want to play a droid, it was fun. I enjoyed play a driod mission in KOTOR I & II and was disapointed when it was not an option here.
  5. 1. The ability to use crew skills more in PVE missions like you do in some Flashpoints ( scavenge = restore droids, archeology = opens secret stone doors, etc...) More the ways skill in professions in the KOTOR and KOTOR II games worked opening additional options for conversation choices, shortcuts to missions, unexpected aid, and even the ability to kill everyone in a room with out stepping in it. 2. ALL companions to be able to run crew skill missions at the same time regardless of your characters level. I hate having one guy not doing anything for no good reason. If I am running PVP, Flashpoint, or just chilling around the Fleet, I don’t need them. There has never been a good reason for that. 3. Companion missions that the player can run as the companion, so I can play as one of my companions separated from my main (also like KOTOR and KOTOR II games, where you play your main 95% of the time but once in a while you play as a companion for story purposes) Possibly pic one as a substitute main and another as support. (also done in KOTOR II) 4. Companion skill trees so I have the option to level my companion to my play style so if I have an operative I can make at least one of my companions good at stealth support, If I am a healer I can take a companion that heals and make it dps so I don’t have 2 healers. 5. Cross legacy “run in’s”, When playing my main and I have added an alt as a friend/relative I would like to run into my alt/main once in a while if only in cinematic scenes. 6. Vehicle missions, like starship missions with walkers, tanks, STAP, and armed speeders ( may the possibility to use one I normally use as a mount, the STAP or Single Trooper Aerial Platform all have mounted guns I never get to shoot and it kills me) 7. Inner atmosphere starship missions, they fly air too why do we always seem to be in space? I want an attack run on a base or Arial platform like in the rogue squadron games. 8. Advance classed based missions, I am so absolutely sick of playing a STEALTH CLASS and always having my mission…kill every thing you see and a bonus mission go find some more stuff to kill irrelevant to the mission. /sigh… How about I play as a tank and I get some protection missions, play stealth and get some sneak in and out without getting noticed missions, play a healer and heal a squad of NPCs, dps and… well dps your kinda doing your thing, lol. Maybe give some dps missions where you just kill TONS of lower level enemies because that would be a fun slaughter fest. Your not killing the enemies for xp your completing the missions for xp/ rewards. 9. Gear search missions per planet and for your companions - I would like to see a gear search mechanic like torhead on the official site but with an added ability to queue your characters with actual quests to find the gear you picked out. You can pick up the quest like you do star ship daily quests some where on your ship. No xp or credits, just go here to start the mission or mission chains, or kill these guys till it drops. What ever and you can cancel the mission then pick it back up later at your ship. Then change the queue for the missions on the web site. 10. Companions riding vehicles too, primarily as passengers to large transports and on their own for small ones. This would be relevant to vehicle missions too because I would like them to support in STAP and speeder bike assaults, drive when I gun for skiffs or gun while I drive for skiffs. Man a top mount machine gun when I drive the tank, etc… or even just hop on there own when I am driving around and they would drive beside me just like they walk beside me. 11. Add a preview for weapons when you Ctrl+left click, it shows all other gear on your character, very nice if your picking orange gear. But this does not work with weapons... 12. Zoom on the inspection pain for gear and companions customizations. If I am picking customizations and orange gear I need to be able to see it… 13. Item comparison for companions gear. If you mouse over your gear item it shows a comparison to your current equipped gear, why not set it so if you open you character equip box and switch to the companion view then when you mouse over an item it compares it to that companions gear? That would be even more useful when your on your ship and you can scroll through your companions on that view. 14. Non-combat PVP games, like racing, pazaak, and hollow chess. 15. Non-character combat PVP like starship, STAP, and smuggling runs 16. Counter operative PVP missions, where the point is not to fight but to get in the other persons way by sabotage, healing week allies, building defenses, setting up traps, and destroying objects they are trying to get to aid them… Like minecraft griefing as a swtor sport/PVP Warzone. If you like this post, here are some of my others… Guild enhanced crew skill options: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=91130 PVP suggestions: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=172159 I imagine there will be trolls if there are posts, so if you disagree, please try to voice an arguement more then "I hate that its a dumb idea" some thing like "I don't think its a good idea because it will pull players away from current warzones to have fun and I will have less people to kill"
  6. My post says the same think: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=172159 where do I sign? Because adding anything else will make some one angree until this is added. You can just say "fine, if you don't like it don't que for it" In stead you get we hate hutball vs we love hutball. and any addional maps will be the same way. You can't make all the poeple happy all the time, but you can sure give the chose to them to pick thier poision.
  7. Thanks, and good luck to getting the changes.
  8. Added a huttball and filter section to the main post.
  9. I would add an other option: Play to have fun > Play to Win > Play for medals ( this also includes ranking up or rewards of any kind ) ( I want an infection map! and the ability to filter what PVP maps I play )
  10. @anstalt I do like your idea of Rated warzones where you have earn a skill rank that depreciates. Starcraft 2 and Halo both had that and I thought it worked well. But I would also say generic armor as an option would be a good supplement to that. Then roughly equivalently skilled people with same gear makes the matches more about team work then player ability or gear. On the other hand I would like an even gear match only so that poeple can test them selves against higher skilled players on even gear ground. I say this because placing people in skill tiers prevents them from learning from more skilled players to and could get some people stuck in a tier because they only get to see people making the same mistakes as them. I do think skill rank should be a filter option and the filter is most important option PVP does not currently have Then introducing infection maps, or standardised gear maps, maps with NPCs or ranked skill maps are options you can play if you want and players who don't want to ... don't have to play that way. You do bring up a good point about a central spawn point in hutt ball but I would also point out that if they get the ball away from then middle your defense would always be running to catch them so the battle would become a king of the hill and players would learn not to follow out off the middle are because it is pritty much over when they do, this would make huttball mostly a big death match in the middle. If I may suggest an improvement to that design, put a "transporter" at the current spawn point to the middle right side from your base that activates when the shield is down at the spawn point. Then players can choose and you get your work around and the option to jump to the middle so one side dominating the other is harder. That is what they did in blood gulch halo and without vehicles on the map it is very effective. As far as special abilities in hutball, i like the idea of making it so that you can't sprint or jump to players while you have the ball, even more I would say players can't pull the ball carrier friend or foe.
  11. I don't mind the idea of more huttball maps or even some sort of tournament/league setup where you play huttball on different world, make teams, and get ranked. I do think this post is more about diversifying pvp and allowing the option to choose which ones you play and I think that should take priority over inflating one type for now. So I think I will leave it as a separate post for now. ... of course I may change my mind later, lol. Edit: @Keiret changed my mind... added a hutball section, but I have not had a chance to read the hutball threads yet, so I only have ideas I came up with from post made in this thread. I will try to read them at some point and add other good ideas.
  12. lol, ya maybe I do. I consolidated the post as you suggested... may have to pull all out and rewrite it some time but its a lot to work with and I don't feel like it at the moment. For now its just all moved to the top.
  13. @Kailaurius Thanks! I appreciate all the support for may post and if you have additional ideas feel free to post them or link in similar posts.
  14. so to sum up the above post you need the most aoe, burst dps, best usage of CC, and stealth is nice.... might as well add good healers to that. lol sounds like combat and I am not really seeing the problem. I do wish you could que only for the war-zones you like though.
