  1. Okay, to update my statement; what I meant is that they are forced to accept it or go elsewhere.
  2. I'm not one of the ones saying this and have never tried the GW games at all. But I think one of the points of this is the game was designed from the ground up to fit that model whereas in this case we are having the subscription model changed on us in an already existing environment. With GW you know you are going into that from the start. Here we have people that are invested in their characters and communities that are being forced to accept the change.
  3. I just wanted to add my voice to those against this change. I have gone through games in the past that moved from the subscription model to a hybrid and ultimately to a pure F2P or might as well be F2P. I can't stand the microtransaction model and what it stands for. It is an attempt to nickel and dime the players out of every cent they can. The hybrid model even more so than a regular F2P model since even the "subscribers" that have "access to everything in game for their subscription" still have to pay for things on the store. Ignoring the slippery slope argument, one of the things that annoy me the most about a move from subscription to hybrid/F2P is that every single one of these "fluff" or "social" items that is added to the shop could have instead been added to the game in some way. An obscure quest, part of the normal quest lines, a clicky way off the beaten path. Something that gives a player a sense of accomplishment and that feeling of "I played the game and I got this item" which, in my opinion, is what these games should be about. I'm not saying I'm quitting for now. I'm sticking around only because a very close friend I play the game with wants to stay. But the very first time I see this big button or advertisement show up while I play that pushes the microtransaction store on me I will make serious arguments for leaving. I enthusiastically hope you and your enthusiastic team rethink this extremely controversial change in business model. I really do believe that this will do more harm than good to the game and what is left of the image of BW/EA.
  4. Lost 5/8 names in the transfer. Some of which are not overly common, but taken anyway. Joy.
  5. I saw a female Imperial Agent with the title "Agent" named "Ninteynine". This one actually made me laugh. And all in all, it does sort of fit the Agents, having numbers replace their names and all.
  6. Best Buy usually has little Pre-Order "Boxes" in the store so you actually walk out with a physical... something. Usually it's a console game-like case with the product design on it and things saying it's Pre-Order. I do find it odd that it says in-store pickup for a pre-order though. I thought they usually didn't allow in-store pickup for pre-orders on their website.
  7. If you pre-ordered you could go grab one from the floor and bring it to customer service yourself. But that would assume any to actually be there for floor stock. They would pull pre-orders before putting non-pre-order stock on the floor. So if they say they don't have enough to fulfill your pre-order, then there won't be any on the floor. And to another poster, I'm not sure on this, but I believe there's something in their pre-order policy stating they can't and/or won't guarantee you a copy on release day. In fact, just grabbed a pre-order case I Had from them (Assassin's Creed). They do point out on the back of the case: "Availability date is subject to change." Note that doesn't say release date. Availability. When they have some available for purchase/pickup.
  8. Um.... no. No it isn't. It's in what, one MMO? And look at how many people dislike it. I really find it astonishing how people try to say "it is a standard in all MMOs". It's not. Yes, SW:TOR could use a bit more fleshed out LFG system than what it has now, but not a full blown Dungeon Finder like people are asking for.
  9. I believe the answer is no. To get a Superior purple you have to "crit" when crafting the purple from my understanding. Has nothing to do with REing and getting a recipe. You can RE items that are not crafted, but I believe the only thing you will get from those is the supplies. I have not seen a recipe come from a non-crafted RE. I also doubt there is anything that can be gotten from an RE preorder crystal. I have not tried it, but I doubt it.
  10. Hypocritical much? Just because you care so much about the in-box items doesn't mean the rest of us care as well. Everyone has their own opinions and their own values. Some value the in-game items over the in-box items. Not really taking sides, but I had to point this out since you were the one that talked about caring...
  11. Check your abilities window, general tab. There's a toggle for it there once you right click the item.
  12. I have to say, the CE store does appear to be somewhat of a let down.
  13. In beta I found Ctrl-U twice will fix it as well. Reloads the UI.
