  1. Good question! I was wondering the same thing. I love that helmet.
  2. While I think SWTOR is a fun game, I feel like it should have been called KoToR III, and had some "multiplayer elements" rather than a full-blown MMO. I agree regarding SWG. Really happy there is an emulator.
  3. You are contradicting yourself. gregordunbar wrote: "Most MMO players dont like flight sim combat." I responded: "This is a ridiculous assumption that you simply can't back up with hard data." Then you stated: "who needs hard data? What you cant come to a simple conclusion based on whats out there right now? I'd say your missing the obvious." Now you ask for market data? Again, I will ask where is the "substantial market data" that proves "Most MMO players don't like flight sim combat?" I'd say your ability to support a ridiculous generalization is what's missing here.
  4. So what you are saying is that we are going to see some new planets?
  5. Stating that "Most MMO players don't like flight-sim combat" is not a reasonable conclusion, just a terrible generalization. How many people love MMOs and love flight sims? Do you have access to that information? If "top 10" is how we are going to base our ridiculous assumption, how many MMOs have truly mixed both genres? How many that had a big-name franchise like Star Wars to drive them? Star Wars Galaxies? I would argue that there were many things that led to SWGs demise other than Jump to Lightspeed and flight-sim combat - Namely, the success of WoW, the release of numerous MMOs that fractured the market, the treatment of the property by SOE, the Combat Upgrade, and the NGE. Or do we want to grasp at anecdotal evidence by looking at anything that was "space" and an "MMO." Maybe EVE Online? Hardly a flight-sim.
  6. I'm not there yet, but from what I understand, at level 50, you can reroll an alt, you can do dailies as new content is released, you can do PVP (which you mention causes "horrid FPS" issues, which may drive people away from it), or you can do space combat on rails that you compared to Angry Birds. Do you see people paying $15 a month to play Angry Birds? In addition to new content for the class story lines, and continued work to improve PVP, I would think that a fully-realized free-flight space expansion would go a long way towards keeping people interested in this game once they reach level 50. Like I said in a previous post, that doesn't mean that they have to remove the current on-rails system if people enjoy that.
  7. This is a ridiculous assumption that you simply can't back up with hard data.
  8. I couldn't disagree more with the OP. I would much prefer a free-flight full-on space flight sim in the style of Wing Commander or X-Wing/Tie Fighter tacked solidly onto this MMO. That said, if people enjoy the current system (which I find not-at-all compelling), leave it in if you expand space combat, and continue to support it as well....Then everyone can be happy.
  9. Hi folks, Can anyone suggest, or point me to a website that shows a good skill tree build for assassins? My main goal is to be able to solo PVE. Secondary would be PVP. Thank you!
  10. I have high hopes that the "expanded" Space Combat that has been hinted at by Bioware will do just this.
  11. I agree with this completely. I play them for XP/Money, but they are really boring to me.
