  1. What are the Bronze, Silver, and Gold packs? Are those bought off the GTN as well?
  2. So, one thing I love in games is customizing my appearance...but I find it arbitrary and frustrating when I see the armor I want, only to find out the only way of getting it is buying it off the Cartel Market. Ok, fair enough, I'll buy it...oh wait...so I can't buy it? Why? What's the deal here? I don't see the point in arbitrarily deciding "you can only buy this when we feel like it". It's like they don't want my money. TLDR - Bring back Revan armor sets please.
  3. Seconded. I said it a month ago and got flamed for it, and still do, but it's just the truth. Combat is clunky, slow, and weak comparatively.
  4. Not many people are eager to re-invite the tedium that is leveling in this game, I don't think. The "story" thing was sort of kinda fun once. I'm not sure anyone would want to do it again. But the whole "illusion of choice and consequences" is a whole different discussion. Point being: People shouldn't have to reroll. And that the game is losing subs at an increasing rate.
  5. Well, then you are truly delusional. Not one server population that I've seen has been listed as "heavy" or "full" anymore. They're all 'light' or 'standard' now. You can't possibly believe that all those 1.7 "subscribers" are actually playing the game. Take me for an example. I'm currently a "subscriber" because I bought 3 months of game time (regrettably), however, I hadn't logged in for over a month prior to about 2 days ago. So you can cling to those numbers as much as you like, it doesn't change the fact there are 35 people on the fleet during prime time.
  6. As incoherent as all that was, let me put it this way: WoW raised the bar, SWTOR didn't even reach it, even being 6 years later. Hitting 50 a few weeks after release and being left with nothing to do, or worth doing, isn't going to retain subscribers. It will retain casuals/children, for a small time, and as we're starting to see subscriptions are starting to dwindle.
  7. Area Looting is maybe the one thing I care about. Player customization wasn't THAT much better for a 6 year gap, let's not kid ourselves. And I'd gladly give up the customization for some better looking armor. Go take a gander at the Jedi Knight PvP armor, it's pretty much the most hideous thing I've ever seen. Graphics, yes, but again, 6 year gap...and somehow, with all the graphics improvements, the world feels even more stale than WoW, and less immersive, in my opinion. Fleet passes? Kind of a who cares on that one...world is already as disjointed as it gets. Jukeboxes? Another big who cares. Warzones are stale, Ops and FPs are too easy to even care about and honestly aren't even worth doing. There seems to be a huge lack of flavor in this game, which is ironic with all the voice acting they have to advance the story, but it just seems so "blah" all around.
  8. That might have sold 1.7 million copies of the game, but I think it's safe to say about half those people are probably gone.
  9. If I had to guess, I'd say this game's population is in drastic DECLINE rather than the other way around. The 20 people on the Fleet seem to support my theory. But I guess you'll see first hand in about another month eh ?
  10. Also epicly hilarious, well done sir. And for those of you thinking we're just "haters" - no, I really wanted to love this game. I wanted it to succeed. I bought a CE and 3 months of gametime out of faith in that. Literally about 25 days later, I was 50, and out of things to do, but grind valor rank and badges. That was just about all there was to log in for. It honestly felt like "let's go log on and do my SWTOR chores, so I'll be ready when the REAL content comes out!" I waited for more challenging content. I waited for PvP balances/fixes. Nearing 3 months later and none of it has come. I don't see them making this dumb-downed game any more difficult.
  11. Would have been a valid excuse 6 years ago. WoW of course was not a perfect game in its infancy. However, it grew very successfully into a very complete game. When a new game is released, while WoW still thrives, making the same mistakes as WoW (or even some worse) is not a valid excuse. The MMO isn't the same creature it was in 2005, so making comparisons to a 6 year old game's infancy is kind of admitting failure. There's no reason a game should be able to be completely dull after a month of play. There is literally nothing to do at 50 that can't be done in a week. (or less) -edit- Actually the mindless Valor Rank/BM grind takes more than a week, probably, but is also completely RNG dependent and doesn't require any amount of skill. Furthermore, the rewards you get from it are very very poor. So it's a meaningless grind, and the rewards you get aren't even anything you really want. Just, what's left to do.
  12. And somehow, less linear, if that's possible. And was it just me or did all the planets feel bland and one-dimensional as well? Tatooine...big desert. Hoth...big frozen desert. And a bunch of others I barely remember because they were that boring. Not one of the planets ever gave me any feeling or atmosphere or meaning...Even the Jedi temple was kind of a let down. But that could just be me.
  13. Don't look now, but I think his entire point was about END GAME. Seeing as you have admittedly not even GOT to end game yet, it makes your opinion sort of worthless, and your entire post even more so. Why are people so defensive? It's true, there is nothing to do to progress at 50. Everything is either too easy, or a tedious chore (IE the Battlemaster gear grind/Valor Rank grind...MY GOD so boring). So, the people who have made it to 50 and tried everything there is to try and are now bored are supposed to just go away and cancel our subs eh? Sounds like a solid plan for a game I'm sure will continue to grow. But, you might want to take into account people like me got 3 month subs at launch, and AREN'T renewing their subscriptions. I actually haven't played barely at all for a month now, even rolling an alt was the same old thing, and that was their big selling point for replayability.
