  1. For me personally there were a few things. 1. UI and lack of addons/macros. With 1.2 the UI is alot better and really close but its there yet for me. Theres a few things its lacking for me. One being healing frames with click healing. 2. Group tools. I don't enjoy spamming chat to find groups. Also I'm not a fan of having to schedule around a game anymore. I want to play on my own terms. I typically play at off peak times because of my work schedule. So its hard to find a guild that does things around the time I would play. Most of the things that I don't like are being addressed and once those do theres a good chance I'll continue my subscription.
  2. I'm a little disappointed with SWTOR. I think because I was in beta so once it released it wasn't "new". But overall the game isn't bad. Most of my complaints are minor. I think they put TOO much effort in the leveling experience. Expecting players to spend most of the time questing. Giving them time to work on extra stuff in the mean time. I will say the game is lacking "core" features that mmo players have come to expect. Which I think the devs realize it better then any of us do. I think the Star Wars IP is going to keep it alive for the most part. I do think this game has a chance to get plenty of subscribers. WoW didn't get 10 millions subscribers overnight. It took years for it to grow. It wasn't til the expansions came out that their numbers started to really jump. I just think its way too early to say this game is a failure.
  3. I would like Dantooine. Would like to see if those two families are still feuding lol. Would also like to see if the star map is still there lol.
  4. As first step I like the UI features. There are a few things that for me personally I think needs to be added. 1. Make the settings stored on the server/cloud. That way if someone formatted or logged into from a different computer the settings are there. 2. Make the 1st action to get rid of the border. So the 1st action bar can look like the rest of the "plain" actionbars. 3. The ability to have more then 4 action bars. This would probably help with #2 if I could have 6 "plain" bars and I could hide the main action bar. 4. Healing frame with click healing support. Where user's can bind abilities too w/o targeting.
  5. I personally want a group tool for everything I think it would unrealistic for it to be expect everything all at once. But I would be ok if started with flash points first then moved on to operations. I am the person where the group tool helps. I don't enjoy spending hours trying form a group then have little time to play because most of was spent "forming" the group. Most of play times is typically not peak times. So its difficult to find groups. I'm not saying if someone is paying their subscription they should get everything. But anyone that is paying a subscription should atleast have the chance to atleast experience most of the game regardless of when they play and the population of the server. There were two really big things that stopped me from playing SWTOR after I hit lvl 50. One was the UI which after 1.2 is tolerable. The other was a group tool. I for one don't enjoy sitting spamming chat trying to find a group. I think a group tool that is server only is not going to be work . Especially on low populated servers. For que times to be realistic its going to have to be cross-server. I'm ok if its one of those where the tech isn't mature enough to handle cross-servers. With the first implementation being server only.
  6. I look at it like this if they my sub they'll make a cross realm LFG tool. If not then I'll go and put my money elsewhere. I'm looking to enjoy the game and I don't enjoy spamming chat. If it impacts they subscriber numbers they're going to lean in the way that gets them more subscribers. If they see they're loosing subs because no cross server queing they're going to implement it and vice versa.
  7. Isn't that what old school mmo players like? They always say its better that way and you build a "community". I personally don't get any enjoyment in spamming chat, I'm all for a group cross server even.
  8. 1. Addons & Macros 2. Cross-server grouping 3. Faster vehicles.
  9. I dont think its ruins the community as more is just exposes more in the community. There a jerks no matter what. Its more annoying to spam chat and then finally get a group with a douche. I personally would rather be able to que and if the group sucks or has jerks I can leave it que again. I hated spamming chat and never getting into a group then logged and did nothing.
  10. Probably went down a little. Which isn't uncommon for most MMOs.
  11. If you don't want addons don't use em plain and simple. Most of the addons people are wanting are cosmetic to begin with. Just because there are some people that dont like addons, doesn't mean they're bad for the rest of the population. I wonder if you that are against addons are against cars having GPS navigation. Clearly it makes you less skilled of a driver. Gives you an unfair advantage of getting from place to place.
  12. Because the MMO community tends to overreact and gets a sky is falling mentality.
  13. I wouldn't mind if they lowered it. I think its rather high.
  14. I can't say I disagree completely. It wouldn't bother me if they kept the way it is or lowered the number of "strong" mobs.
  15. Its just a matter of time. The ones crying about no addons will get over it once they're released. If someone doesn't want to use addons then DON'T use em.
