  1. Why would anyone pay for an expansion that doesn't include the content they like? Or are you one of the pre-order people who bought it despite having no information on what you are getting other than 5 levels (Extra levels being a con to trick you into playing content that probably wouldn't otherwise get played)?
  2. If you look at this as one individual you are right, but I don't think he is alone in his feelings. I haven't pre-ordered because I don't know enough about what is coming, I don't know how not buying it will affect my characters, I don't know if companions or class will make any difference to the arcs (They might not have class stories but does the main story differ at all from class to class for example), I don't know about flashpoint etc. Getting 5 new levels is not really information, they could just level bump you straight to 55 and have supplied no information to say otherwise. What happens to your gear? Only when we actually know what we are getting will a lot of people order this, and I would assume BW would prefer to get lots of pre-orders to they can plan a little better. They started off with a head start, now they are giving gifts, that smacks of tricking people into buying it because they know the actual content won't sell. Surely actually telling people what we would be getting would encourage many more people to pre-order? I can't help but feel they are trying to prolong our dissapointment so we don't just quit now.
  3. I saw this last night but it was affecting the person in my group rather than me, so I suspect it is a local issue rather than a game issue. I went through the cut scene without him in the end which let us finish. Maybe running a repair on the game files or re-installing the game might help? Could even be a driver issue if the last patch contained video updates or any kind.
  4. Might be my Northern roots, but I will go with whichever is cheapest
  5. It isn't about quick really, just more that I have nothing to look forward to. I didn't really realise just how important the class story was to me until now. I know it would all change if I found a compatible guild, but I don't hold out much hope for that.
  6. Sadly they were voiced pretty poorly and I got no emotion from any of them. You do get Jadus talking to you once you return to him though, putting the blame for the deaths on you.
  7. I am only little so far (11 woo), but if I can already see my next fight and the one I am in is easy enough I try to end my fight with plenty of focus so that I can jump to the next one and obliterate everything without having to bother building it again. This works particularly well for bosses as it doesn't dissipate during cut scenes, so you can start the fight from an advantage.
  8. That was the first place I found when searching actually, but I got so far down and still wasn't sure how each played or compared to Focus so I stopped reading. I will give Combat a try based on your suggestions, so will also give this thread a proper read.
  9. The game is not a competition, so this arguement just means that players will get kicked for wrong reasons all the time. If you want to compete join ranked warzones. Joining a random queue means you should accept that different people queue for different reasons. Just because your idea of fun = winning and their idea of fun = zerging the middle and seeing who they can kill does not make them wrong.
  10. Yes it is perfectly fair. Group finder is random so you have to manage your expectations properly. Some people won't be very good and you have to put up with them because you chose to join them in group finder. I am one of those that doesn't think skill should prevent you from getting endgame gear either, so I don't care how much of an unsolvable problem they might be, they still deserve their chance to participate. If you want to avoid these people just form your own groups or find a guild. It isn't hard. I would also say maybe you could start deriving your fun from something other than just running to the end and getting gear. The most fun I have had in MMO's is when a group struggles and finally overcomes the objective. You are an example of failed MMO policy, they decide that people need to repeat content in order to progress, but they decide that players of all skill levels need to do the same content, which ruins it for both groups. Those struggling don't want to see you getting killed and moaning just as much as you don't want to see them getting killed. The game should not be incentivising you both into the same content.
  11. Title should affect how NPC's address you.
  12. I think they can right click you and view the list, though that is more of a workaround than a solution.
  13. I had a similar problem in another MMO, where I could go forward and right, but not forward and left. I mouse turned so it didn't bother me enough to try and fix, but I don't have the problem in SWtoR. I haven't read the thread to know what you have tried, but you said you swapped the hardware so I would try: Uninstall keyboard drivers, reboot, let Windows re-install them. Download a new version of the Windows driver file (Not sure the name, but you should find out in step 1), then repeat step 1 with the new file. Reinstall the game into a different location. Reinstall Windows over the top of the existing installation.
  14. The Red Eclipse: 1/10. The majority of the time I see people talking is idiotic chat in general or sales spam. The rest of the time I see people advertising for groups but I often see 2 people wanting to same thing and neither of them thinks about teaming together. I keep having to change to low pop instances because people steal objectives, especially annoying because I wait in the queue only for someone to steal in front of the person I am waiting for! I have not had a single "Want to join the team" before getting blind invites. Only once have I had more than a "hi" after joining a team. Yes that means people just drop the team without talking.
  15. Wonderful work, now if only all the speeders didn't suck ...
