I sent in Kira first. She gets stunned, then I walk in and smack him a bit. Once he uses that AOE ability GET AWAY (I don't remember if it's interruptible) use med packs and heroic ability. He's really hard to beat because of his damage, but he's not that hard to smack down.
It can be quite hard keeping my distance in battlegrounds. What ends up happening is an OP or some sith jumps at me, they both stunlock me and bash me to death then run back to whomever they were fighting before. I drop like a bag of potatoes despite removing the stun and conc blasting them away.
So...what in God's name should I be doing? Hiding behind boulders and sniping? Being a pocket DPS for a tank/healer?
I seriously don't know what to do at this point. As far as I've learned, the best thing to do is to be a major coward, hide, run, and make sure you're in the right position.
I found
Redragon M901 PERDITION 16400 DPI High-Precision Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse for PC
The buttons look like they're larger. The previous one I had, had quite small 1 - 12 buttons. Very difficult to deal with. Being wired isn't a big deal (I must have a wireless headset, though )
I just came back after a while. I love PVP, but the amount of abilities to use is overwhelming my left hand. I am not comfortable with using shift + # or anything like that. I used to have a mouse that had numbers on the side of it and it worked well, but the buttons were so small.
Can anyone recommend a good gaming mouse that has buttons on the side that I can bind to abilities?
My god, I remember the whining in WOW when we started a DKP system. People just wanted quick loot and didn't really care about the team. That's where the MMO culture started dying lol.
I don't necessarily think the point is to go back to an EQ type game but rather use the pieces of it that make it fun. I think what makes people like me enjoy a game is that I am on my own, roaming a huge world, and can choose what I want to do. The only choice SWTOR really has is choosing a dark side/light side button at the end of alot of talking.
"Republic, the most expensive MMO of all time, hit shelves in late 2011, it was structured...almost exactly the same as World of Warcraft."
Lol what a dumb comment.
Same here. I have children, a house, a wife, and a job, but I would still be able to play for an hour or so a day where I could run around a world and just have fun. Having fun, to me, isn't a scripted and linear gaming experience.
Even EQ2 was cool during it's time. I remember just running up to some guy (in my faction) and using death touch on him to knock him down to steal a mining node. Lol, it's stuff like this that can't be scripted.
I should really say: I can't harvest and craft myself without using NPCs. Some may not find it fun, but I actually enjoy harvesting and crafting things myself rather than clicking a button for an NPC to do it. It's how BW made the theme park concept work with crafting.
