  1. Then you have surely read post #119 which has answered this question and provided page links.
  2. When I click to "Reply" to a forum post, but am not already signed in it takes me to the sign in page, which is fine... but after I sign in it returns me to the Home Page... and everytime I'm like ARRRRRRGGHHHH, I have to re-find the thread or page I was looking at that required sign-in. I would like the prompted sign-in page to remember where I was on the website and return me to the page I was looking at before I was required to sign-in, that's all.
  3. It has been asked many times and answered many times. It is also answered in the F2P FAQs found here: http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/6449 A link to the specific page concerning changing from SUB to F2P here: http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/6526 A link to the specific page concerning what happens to your existing characters here: http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/6546 In summary, if you decide to go F2P from a SUB, your account will be changed to "Preferred Status" and you will choose which of ANY OF your characters will remain active with NO RESTRICTIONS ON CLASS. The only restriction being the number of active character slots. Meaning you can still choose to play your Chiss character if it's one of your favourites. When you are playing said character, they will be subject to the limitations of a preferred account... meaning you will still have Cargo Hold access, Sprint at lvl 1, and higher login priority, but you will need to choose which of your crew skills remain active, will not be able to participate in Ops unless you buy a weekly pass and WZs will be limited to 3 per week unless you purchase a weekly pass. Many of the restricted features can be unlocked with Cartel Coins that you have accumulated during your paid sub period. An updated summary on the comparison of Sub and F2P features can be found here: http://www.swtor.com/free/features. (rollover the little "?" to see more details of what limited and full access entail) Hope this post clears up some things.
  4. Personally, I'm full light right now and am going to try and go full dark just for the pet and vehicle then switch back. Light/dark is great for RP and cosmetic purposes. Doesn't really affect anything else, which is how it should be because you should be able to make whatever choices you want without worrying about not getting the *best* gear.
  5. Right, because the fight is not over until one of you is dead. If you didn't die and they didn't die, then maybe you should have auto-attacked them one more time while they were running away, since you claim that's all it takes. I think you are confused, DPS and damage are not the same thing. Yes, or LoS a healer. Hiding in a corner makes it impossible for a healer to do their job because you are not in LoS. I was not off-topic. I was using an analogy to point out your bad argument. Repeating the same argument over-and-over again doesn't make it any more valid. If you're resorting to claims about the state of my phisique and hygene then you clearly have nothing relevant to say.
  6. You missed my argument. I wasn't suggesting that BoPs-that-are-movable-between-alts-would-be-tradeable-on-GTN, I was just referencing that as it stands now items that are NOT BOUND can be mailed across toons or traded on GTN until someone equips it and it becomes bound to that character. My point was: BoP items are usually obtained from FPs or quests and it makes sense that you need to actually do said FP/Quest on the character that would be using the item. Yes it does. Bound items also keep you from "handing down" equipment to another character/character's companion. Your characters are separate entities. If you give your brother/sister/child 10 bucks then you are less 10 bucks. Btw, I enjoy the colour "Plum", I may just start writing in it all the time. Have something to say about that too? lol
  7. Fact is, if you "lived through a fight" than the player you hit would be dead and you would drop combat instantly, can OOC heal and re-enter at full strength within your 6 second time-frame. In response to your "logic" problem: Player A also does less dps than Player B, so an effective team requires both. A team needs squishy nukes, just like it needs squishy healers. All those inbetween classes (that can last SO MUCH LONGER than their counterparts) either A) do less dps or B) do less hps. Helping the team as much as possible means NOT HIDING IN A CORNER. If you run off to a corner and someone finds you and one-shots you, then you didn't pick a very good corner. P.S. Your sig is bad grammar and doesn't make sense, much like your argument. Also, Repitition Ad-Nauseum is a fallacy and doesn't add credibility.
  8. Please don't start another thread on this with a copy-paste of one of your EPIC posts. Original Thread here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=187044 (And there is a Search Feature now if you can't find it. Look up.)
  9. The Search/Advanced Search feature is implemented. Look up. ^ It's horizontal with the "Community" header.
  10. It's all in the talents you choose. You can have a Consular go full or hybrid into the dps specs, or they could go tank(Shadow)/heals(Sage)... really just depends on what you pick. All the abilities/talents are mirrored.
  11. I thought this was to reduce your downtime with mobs? If it's for pvp then I completely disagree. If you're "on-fire" and "not in combat", I'm sorry to say that you're still in combat taking damage. It's called a DoT... meant to keep you in combat so that you cannot OOC heal, or use your OOC sprint, or regen force or whatever other resource you have. /not signed EDIT: WZs do have in combat heals, they're scattered around the map. If someone got to it before you did, tough luck.
  12. I don't know if that was intended as a WoW reference or not, but yes we would like to avoid a "Cataclysm". Oh don't you know that once you give up the candy, you can't have it back? Once you pick up a BoP item it is BOUND to that character and you can use it yourself or give it to a companion. Making BoP mailable across toons defeats the purpose of it being BoP... If BW wanted you to mail the item/trade it on GTN then it would be BoE, simple. The BoP items are usually obtained from FPs or quests and (I believe) BW wants you to actually do said FP/Quest on the character that would be using the item. It makes sense, no?
  13. I'm just speaking from experience as a healer, no need to judge and belittle me. EDIT to your EDIT and repost, then unmarked EDIT (jumpy little bean aren't ya? ): Yes I was implying that recount can create tunnel-vision, not that players who are advocating for it don't know how to play. Combat logs for personal use are one thing. I'm sure many people will be posting their results on the forums for various boss encounters and you'll have ample comparative data if you want to "get better".
  14. I like them the way they are now. BW should keep the system they have going. As an experience Super Mario player, I have mastered the jump... and finding secret locations. It's not that hard to notice a starting area for a DC if you don't want to google it... "Hey, look at the way those boxes are stacked... almost inviting me to go jump on them and see where the path goes" OR "Ooooo look at that shiney thing... wonder how to get to it, let me check my map for viable options..." I have *stumbled* on countless DCs without even intending to, was just being curious.
  15. You can loot all nearby corpses. It's called group-loot in your options menu.
