As the subject states, gearing my sorc healer for both PvP and PvE healing. What augments should I use? The Willpower augments or the Power Augments? Mix of both? Wasn't sure so I wanted to ask here, see what other folks use for their augs. Thanks. TCG

Ya, I read that thread and to be honest, it confused me. I thought all along that shield rating and shield absorb were the most important stats, then defense rating. I also found this thread in the Vanguard forums: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=624233 Short thread, but the point is, shield rating/absorb are what PT's/Vanguards need. As of now, im shooting to get the supercommandos set (which, btw, that should last me up until 55?) Appreciate the feedback here. Cheers,

So, with 2.0 changes, I decided to try out tanking on my PT. I have to say, I absolutely LOVE it. It is a blast to run and I feel like I run through stuff, even though I dont have full tank gear. I am shooting to get the supercommandos gear set. I have the shield right now and bought some armor/mods/enhancements from the Makeb vendor to try and get better gear. As of now, I have tanking items for: -helmet -gloves -legs -boots -shield -one implant Definitely want to run some HM FP as a tank. My question is, what should I be trying to stack the most of? Shield abosrb? Shield rating? Defense rating? Right now, I am at about 15% defense change, 33% shield rating and 39% shield absorb. I appreciate the help. Cheers, TCG

Ya. Shield Tech is pretty freaking awesome right now. I switched over from pyrotech to shield tech after 2.0, to do some testing. Needless to say, I am pretty impressed with what I have seen so far. I am not geared at all. I have a full set of Recruit Combat Tech, with one piece of campaign tank gear (hands). I run full tank with Mako as my healer. Granted, I am still learning and doing testing, but I pretty much walk through stuff in The Black Hole and Section X (i am level 50, cant go to Makeb yet ). I feel like I kill stuff a lot faster on my PT than on my Jugg, Sniper or Operative. I pretty much charge in, electro dart on strongest mob guy, flame sweep 2x, and if my flamethrower procs, burn them down. Stuff dies really fast. Like I said though, I am very new to running shield tech. But I love what I see so far. Now I just need to figure out what stats to optimize for PT tanking.

I will be taking all my characters off Jung Ma the day transfers are available. I am still pissed off that I got put on this server by BW and didnt have a choice. I rolled west coast to begin with so I will go back to a west coast. You think BW would be smart enough to know why people roll certain 'time zone' servers.

Just curious if artifice is worth it at all. I have alts maxed in biochem, armstech, armormech and synthweaving. I use them to move stuff around and gather mats. Trying to see where artifice fits in here, but do not really see it as useful at the moment, unless I am missing something. Anyone care to comment on artifice now and with 2.0? Appreciate it. TCG

Alright. I am confused. So, right now, on my fully augmented WH operative, what happens when 2.0 hits? Since they are removing WH and EWH gear, what happens to my WH gear, if anything? (I have 3 pieces of EWH gear). As of now, I have been banking my comms, doing a little min/maxing on WH gear only. So just curious how things are going to be in 2.0. So, this bolster system is supposed to 'level the playing field' for 10-29 and 30-54 brackets?

I know its been posted before, but I would like a dev to comment if they are even attempting to do anything with the twi'lek hood issue. I LOVE the legacy inquis gear. The mask and outfit are awesome looking. However, because of the twi'lek weird issue with hoods, IMO, it looks like crap on my twi'lek. I dont like it. I thought about rerolling my sin because of that look, but i would like to hear back from the Devs if this is something they are looking at,? Something that is fixable? Whats the status? I feel like my 'gear/apperance' selection is limited because of this issue. Thanks.

Totally down with this. There are certain ways I want my character to look in game. however, because of my race (twi'lek), I did not expect appearance would be different because of the twi'lek race. I love my twi'lek, but some gear that I really like, looks odd on my twi'lek. This really needs to happen. It should not be that difficult to implement. It is needed.

Just resubbed after a break. Dusted off my level 46 PT, getting ready for the double xp weekend. Now, reading some of the forums on 2.0, it sounds like PT/Vanguards are getting bent over pretty good on some nerfs, which is disappointing. I leveled with a hybrid shield tactics/advanced prototype. AP was my favorite tree. Now, reading the PTS notes (well, they are gone now), what the hell. The just gutted AP? So my question is, is it as bad as it seems? Sorta disappointing. I was never a big fan of the pyro tree, mostly because thats what everyone else seem to run. I'll still get to 50, but disappointed to hear whats coming in 2.0. Appreciate the feedback.

With 2.0 coming out in the near future and both WH and EWH going away, I was looking for some suggestions on what to do with my current comms? Right now, I have a full WH Operative healer, fully augmented. I am maxed out on RWZ comms and WZ comms. I keep buying medpaks as to not waste comms. My original idea was to wait until 2.0 comes out, but now, I am not so sure. Also, i hit 50 on another toon as well. Worth getting WH gear at least? Appreciate the feedback. Cheers
