  1. I'm embarrassed to admit how much money I spent to get one of these and now it's no better than the field repair droid for me. Is this change permanent?
  2. I just don't get this. I've run this mission with 6 toons on live and with another 5 heading back to beta. I've never failed to get infected within 1 minute. I'm not trying to say anything against you, I just think people (in general) over think this mission. They run all round and don't get infected and wonder why. It's really not that hard. Run right up the pipe in the north, leave your companion on passive, and engage the red rakgoul by the tree. Stand there and let him hit you (occasionally, I've had to use a med pack while he's hitting me) until you get infected. It's worked for me every time.
  3. My mistake I guess. I thought it was 7AM, but I guess I was wrong. Thanks, guys!
  4. I couldn't find any indication of this, but did they change the time of the daily reset? I used to be able to do the dailies after 7AM eastern, but now I'm not able to. Anyone know if this was changed?
  5. This is the frustrating part. A lot of people in this thread are like "I'd be okay with taking the servers down right now to fix". That's because (in their mind) it'd be a one-time deal. We who play during the maintenance window times get this every single week (and a lot of times twice a week). I'm sure if you started taking down the servers 2 times a week during their play times, those same people who be here complaining as well.
  6. I'm guessing he's an Artifice. There's no crit in the game (anywhere that I know of) to Artifice. The only thing is efficiency (scout droid)
  7. Also, in case you didn't know, the Hutts are buying out the GTN, so (supposedly) soon there will be no republic and imperial GTN, it'll just be one neutral GTN. It will make the ship unlock that much nicer.
  8. Wild Mass Guessing: I'm hoping that once all of the GTN becomes "factionless" we may see the reintroduction of GTN kiosks on planets. You know how the Hutts love their money....
  9. Actually I think you might have it wrong. If I roll need and 3 others roll greed, we still have a roll. Why? Because there's a chance (however slim) that someone may out-roll the "need"-er. Once again, you may think it's a bug but I've seen it happen once. THE FOLLOWING IS PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART: What I've come to believe (and I just got out of game paying special attention to this) is that when you roll need you random something like 85-100 (I pulled this number out of my rear, but I think you see where I'm going with this). The greed rolls 0-100 (or maybe even 0-90). So there's a slim chance you'll lose. Or, once again, why did we roll in the first place? I should have been awarded it automatically when no one else clicked need. Maybe I'm wrong, but until I see proof any differently (or a BW employee telling me it was a bug), I'll continue to believe this.
  10. Pretty much. But the weapon (at least that's what I got) I received was more powerful than I currently had (this was at lvl 21ish). It had a dmg rating of 50 which the hilt that my artifice maker could make wasn't usable until lvl 23 (iirc).
  11. I have to actually say that this has not been my experience. Now granted this has only happened to me once, but it did happen: I rolled need on an item drop and the rest of the group rolled greed. I thought, "Great - I'll get the item." We all still rolled numbers and I didn't win the item. I was shocked. I went back and check and yes, I was the only one to roll need, but someone who rolled greed got it. From that point on, I've always assumed that rolling Need just gave you a higher chance to win the item, but you could still get a really bad roll and someone who rolls greed could get a really lucky one and win. After all what would be the point of offering a greed roll if the item would already be spoken for by someone rolling need?
  12. You just turn in the item you mailed to the character for a legacy item (usually a mainhand weapon I think, but it's whatever the kit is for). Equip and go on your way. The item is also "legacy bound" meaning you can keep it and give it to your alts when you make new ones (assuming they can use it). EDIT: My mistake -- you don't "turn it in"; you "buy" the legacy item with it (use it like a commendation).
  13. I live in the US and the only time I get to play is during their maintenance window. This is not my first MMO and I understand that all games need patching. That being said, it is a little frustrating that they consistently screw over the same people twice a week. Face it, most people log in around the same time each time they play (generally), so no matter if you think it's peak time or not, it's the peak time for the same players every time.
  14. Protocol droids are notoriously chatty. I hate it to, but in a way I think it's justified. As another poster said, I feel like Han Solo with C3PO; I just want to shut him off. While I would say "working as intended", there are times that even I am like, "Does he have to comment every time I run past?". So I'm split; I think C2N2 is working exactly as he should, but I'm still not happy about it.
  15. Just to clarify: The "recently infected" dot that appears in your debuff slot has nothing to do with getting infected for the quest.
