I'm sorry but this type of attitude is simply not appealing. So what you need is not only the competent player you speak of to sign up....but also someone who is not bothered by this type of attitude and simply put there are not many.

I would say carnage is the tree you want to play once you get Massacre. It's a hard class to play period. I would keep it however roll a sorc and maybe one or two others to play at the same time so you understand how easy some classes are to play relative to the mara you are trying to play. This will put you in the right frame of mind when you are playing your mara so you can just work on getting better and not worry about your stats compared to other classes. Also it is normal to struggle with medals in wz so don't worry too much about that either. Your bread and butter is your ability to burst damage a single target.

Ability lag is horrible lately making gameplay tough for melee classes and especially maras. It's already hard enough to stay in range but when the abilities simply are not firing when we are in range it makes playing pointless. Passing in hutball using the area reticle is also off and I'm assuming due to lag. I have never had a problem passing using this method until lately. As of late I have a man open and pass them the ball and for some reason the game has it go incomplete. I'm assuming this is also a lag issue. I'm simply curious as to why this lag is happening lately. I never noticed a problem with it before. Is anyone else noticing it and finding it an issue the same way I am? I simply ask at this point because right now I'd rather uninstall and try a different game if things are going to continue the way they are. I love the game and am happy to support it however this is getting to the point where I'm starting to dread logging in knowing these issues are potentially going to be there yet again.

For Carnage you might not be doing the most damage overall....but that's mainly because you are a single target burst dps class. The problem is that Carnage is a bit tricky to get used to because it's proc based and you also need to time your gore with the procs. The upside is that once you get the hang of it you can turn the tide in battle because you can quickly burst a target for a huge amount of damage. There are many scenarios where this is vital. Sure other classes may do more overall damage however if the damage is being healed or mitigated due to lack of burst then those enemies are still in the fight. However if you do a little less overall damage but your the one melting important targets like healers or unguarded dps then your creating an instant mismatch for your team in that battle to your advantage. Thus you don't really need huge defence but what you do need to know is: 1. How to burst. Learn to line up your procs and set bonuses with gore and force scream, ravage, etc for max burst. 2. When to burst. This takes practice. An example is to make sure you use ravage and gore when a target can't interrupt it. 3. Who to burst. Find the target who will be most vulnerable to your burst so you can get them out of the way and create a numbers advantage for your team. Lastly....you have insane utilities with predation, and bloodthirst. Bloodthirst can simply give all your teammates in a battle an instant advantage. It can win your team a battle. Predation is huge in trying to get over-rotating players back where they should be in a hurry. With regards to your defensive CD's...I don't know what to say but they are not bad at all actually for getting in and out considering the burst damage you will do. Hope that helps.

hey guys I just finished getting my brutalizer gear and now am wondering what's next. I'm wondering if I should get the 30x mods now to replace the 30xa mods the gear comes with for carnage giving me more power but a bit less str and endurance. Thanks for any help.

I really love the burst of carnage. I've played it as my main since launch and at this point it's so fun for me to play.

There are lots of very good maras who do well in pugs and thus if they can do it then you have the potential to do it too.

I have a guy that you might try that I think looks close with the respirator head armor. I can't remember the number but you want the muscular build and then for the face you want the one that has expression lines on the forehead. I am pretty sure there is only one face that has them. The face is very "oafish" looking however with the headpiece on and the corruption you get a nice look close to Malgus. His eyes have a sort of "emotionless" look. What I did was put facial hair on him as well so that when I hide head slot he looks cool in a different way but then when I have the head gear on it looks like Malgus. Hope that helps. Also the armor piece you get from "pound of flesh" heroic (Nar Shadda) is a nice look combined with the exterminator armor set (cartel market). I got a better version of that chest piece from the legacy vendor on drumond kaas. Anyway hope that helps.......

Solo Ranked isn't really something you can take seriously. You want to get on a team and then strategize with those players. You can't really communicate with solo ranked because your not in TS with your team and also you have no idea what your team makeup is going to be. there are certain classes that are very favorable in solo ranked over others. I would just have fun and learn as you go but if you are really serious about team strategies try to get on a team with players on TS and play team ranked.

Yup verbal abuse in a game such as TOR should not be tolerated. Players should be reported when it occurs and banned for a week, then a month, then gone. So many of the abusers are just following an example that has been set by others. They copy the behavior and if their game time was threatened most would start to control themselves. They don't now because there really is no consequence for their behavior. I find it very uncomfortable when someone starts abusing players in a video game. I don't respect any person who lets loose on people they don't even know because they don't have to look them in the eye. If they did I guarantee most wouldn't have the courage to mouth off. This could actually be a great community considering most of us all have a love of SW in common.......

I play a carnage and I have my mainhand brutalizer saber and enough for my offhand. Is offhand the best to get next or is there a better option.
