  1. I know it’s cool to prune abilities, but it actually sucks. Do NOT follow WoW’s example—that game has killed itself. I enjoy the complexity of things as they are. Not saying don’t balance the game, balance it, but taking away things just to make it more user friendly is a mistake that WoW made that should not be repeated in every single MMO I play. This problem follows me around, lmao. Keep the complexity, please.
  2. I had a question about the Combat Styles and where we are going to end up with the philosophy of separating gameplay and story. So, if we’re separating gameplay and story, to my knowledge, the only way we’re really doing that as of right now is in PvP, where Republic and Imperial players can be in the same teams and communicate with one another. I was wondering, with the new Combat Styles that give us the ability to be a Sith Sorcerer on a Republic, ex-Jedi character and a Vanguard on an Imperial character, we’ll be seeing Sith on the Republic fleet and vise versa, right? So, with those restrictions removed, will Imperial players be able to now group with Republic players for more than PvP? Will we be able to visit each others’ fleets? I get that it would be a great task to be able to do flashpoints and such because of voice acting, but for role playing, for example, we can’t group with Republic players or join each others’ guilds. I guess I’m just a little hopeful that these inter-faction restrictions will be eased a bit more. Maybe we put an option in to visit Imperial Taris/Balmorra or Republic Taris/Balmorra, etc..
  3. YES. This would be especially useful and immersive for those of us that RP and GM RP events. Lots of times, I have to play what would normally be an NPC and give my actual RP character the axe for the sake of my guildies and that’s such a shame. I mean, I love them, but I want my character to be part of the RP, too, and this is a great solution.
  4. Fool… (Scourge?) Eat lightsaber, jerk! (Kira) Now you’re dumb, ugly, AND dead! (Corso)
  5. Can you prove that challenges are un-fun? I personally play games for the challenge before everything else. Without challenge, I’m disinterested, no matter how awesome the story is or whatever. Challenge is fun because it gives me a chance to prove my skill. That said, there are absolutely difficult things to SWTOR that the OP is skipping, from the sounds of it. If you want a challenge, don’t look to something focused on making sure people can get to said challenges (i.e. leveling). The story is what’s supposed to make leveling fun, not the gameplay. SWTOR has some of the best leveling content in MMO history because of the various stories, not because the gameplay is anything special. The leveling, the story, is a vessel that takes you from the character select screen to the endgame, were the challenge is, nothing more.
  6. Male Best: Sith Warrior Male Worst: Jedi Knight Female Best: Sith Inquisitor Female Worst: None - I like all of them.
  7. Jaesa Willsaam. I love her involvement in the Sith Warrior story, and I love both versions of her. I am a huge fan of her VA, also. She's the perfect disciple and LI. She may honestly be one of the big reasons why my favorite Class Story is the Sith Warrior's.
  8. Is there an option to remove the pop-up warnings during cutscenes that ask if you want to continue your relationship with certain companions? I'm about to get back with Ashara, but that box is kinda destroying the moment. It wouldn't normally be a big deal, but I record my gameplay and upload it to YouTube so I can revisit it when I'm feeling nostalgic, and I like to make the videos as cinematic as possible. Thanks.
  9. You’re misunderstanding what it means to be a Grey Jedi. A Grey Jedi is one that uses both sides of the Force. Kanan Jarrus was a Jedi because he never used the Dark Side. The Bendu called him a Jedi Knight, and Maul a Sith Lord, then he referred to himself as “the one in the middle.” The Bendu was seen using Force Storm against Thrawn’s army, yet he taught Kanan how to let go of his fear to calm those spider creatures that wanted to kill him. The Bendu, if he ever allowed anyone to label him, would be what we call a Grey Jedi, but not Kanan. Yes, all the things you listed that Kanan did were against the Jedi Code, but not against the Light Side of the Force. He fathered a child, but he never killed a child for his own benefit. He fell in love with Hera, but he did not manipulate her emotions to get his way. You said it yourself, he was more a Jedi than Luke because, despite him breaking the Jedi Code, he never allowed himself to believe that he was wrong for loving Hera. Thus, he did not fear his emotions, nor did he ever give in to his passions. He was never in danger of breaking the Jedi Code because he was at peace with himself when it came to what he felt for Hera, and that is one of the most Jedi things you can do. He did not allow what he felt to control him, not ever, and that is a trait of the Light Side of the Force, not the Dark. The Dark Side would’ve had him go berserk many, many times, given what he went through, but he didn’t m. A lot of the same can be said of Ashoka. She left the Jedi Order, but she purified red Kyber crystals—in other words, she brought peace to them—using the Light Side of the Force. She’s never seen using the Dark Side of the Force, either. She doesn’t call herself a Jedi, but she’s not a wielder of both sides of the Force. She’s attuned to the Light. It’s not really about how you act, or the decisions you make, it’s about you drawing from both the Light and Dark Sides of the Force simultaneously—like Revan and the Bendu. The Bendu, by the way, as opposed to Kanan, did allow his emotions to control him and lash out with the Dark Side, which ended up getting him shot in the face. This is why I think the concept of being a Grey Jedi is stupid. Being a Grey Jedi is NOT balance, as we saw with Revan, who was mega unstable. The Force in balance means everything is in the Light Side. Look at it this way, in a life cycle, there’s birth, nourishment, death, and so on, right? That’s balanced. If an outside force (I.e. the Dark Side) comes to tamper with that life cycle—imagine that this force kills the creature before it reaches its natural time to die, and this force doesn’t allow the earth to absorb the corpse’s nutrients—then the balance is corrupted. That is the nature of the Force, too. The Dark Side corrupts the Light, which is harmonious and natural. Without the Dark, everything would be perfect. If you’re a so-called Grey Jedi, odds are that you’re tearing yourself apart because the Darkness is tugging one way, and the Light is trying to keep you whole—look at Revan. He f’d himself up by using both sides of the Force. Now, canon actually says you *can’t* use both sides of the Force. You can flip flop between one and the other, but you’re not dipping one foot in one side and the other in the other side at the same time, no—if you’re NOT fully into one side of the Force, you gonna get bodied by Rey in the woods because you’re not *just* out of balance, you’re also trying to fight your natural state of Light in order to use the Dark Side. You would be murdering yourself, that’s why Vader says he “killed” Anakin Skywalker. That’s why Kylo Ren says he “killed” Ben Solo. Through the lens of the Force, that is exactly what Vader did. I won’t say anymore about our boy Ben ‘cause I don’t wanna get banned.
  10. All I’m gonna say about Kira and Scourge is that Valkorion was a Voice of the Emperor, at the end of the day, and that I’m pretty sure his real body is out hidden somewhere, and that Kira and Scourge probably had something to do with making sure it died for good.
  11. Yes, Dark Jedi! What would be the equivalent for Light Sith, though? I don’t think we’ve ever had a Sith split from the Sith Order, not join the Jedi, and be called a Light Sith, have we?
  12. Jedi Knight - Human male, Light Side Sith Warrior - Pureblood male, Dark Side Jedi Consular - Miraluka female, Light Side Sith Inquisitor - Twi’lek female, Dark Side Trooper - Human female, Neutral, leaning Light Side Bounty Hunter - Human male, Neutral, leaning Dark Side Smuggler - Human male, Neutral, leaning Light Side Imperial Agent - ???? either Dark Side male human or Light Side female Chiss It’s hard to choose for the Agent, honestly, because there is a ton of recognition for it if you play as a human or Chiss, so it’s definitely one of those. Like, as a human, you get to have sex with more Imperial humans and you get to be super racist, but as a Chiss, you get entirely different lines of dialogue in some encounters. It’s also obvious that the “main” romantic interest for male Agents is Kaliyo, and you GOTTA be Dark Side to love that chic, so I’m kind of leaning in the direction that the “canon” Agent is supposed to be a male, Dark Side human, but then again, I personally feel more “right” as a female, Light Side Chiss Agent that keeps the Black Codex at the end, and hates the Sith. Also, as for the Trooper, you can tell BioWare is biased to Jennifer Hale hardcore. So much so that they gave Aric Jorgan one of the longest, if not the longest, companion stories in the game. They even gave him one of the best chapters in KOTFE, Disavowed. The dude is meant to be your XO, and your LI, there’s no question about it. He’s written in such a way that, in my opinion, he seems like the Trooper’s “main” companion, much like Kaliyo to the Agent, Kira to the Knight, Mako to the Hunter, and Risha to the Smuggler. But other than that whole spiel, I’m rolling a male, Nautolan Jedi Knight and calling him the canon version of the character in my head, ha.
  13. You know one thing I hate about being able to romance companions? You can’t actually be like the Sith Warrior and Smuggler are implied to be—“Why not both of you?” “I will have you both, and you will like it.” Like, come on. They’re on another level, and we can’t get it. They’re super dark side, but they won’t have two wives? Or 7? And he still calls himself a Sith Lord? Noob. I liked it in the KOTOR games where your dialogue choices were like a mini-game that could either screw you or do something awesome for you, and it’d be hilarious and more immersive if we could pick the right dialogue choices to trick our companions into thinking they’re the only one for us. That’s be so funny.
  14. This is most noticeable in the Trooper story. The character oftentimes barges into a place, severely outnumbered, and he’s pointing the little blaster pistol at the enemy while, and get this, while Aric Jorgan is pointing his RIFLE at the enemy, as he well should. Sometimes, the Trooper character is pointing his rifle, but the issue is that he doesn’t do it when it’s a no-brainer that he should. This, to me, is stupid. Like, if you can have them do that, why don’t you have them do it? This is my issue. The sabers are more of a problem to me because you can see their colors blatantly, but yes, this is definitely an issue with every class. Mercs and gunslingers also only using one blaster in cutscenes...
