  1. i'd say so. at the very least, it's a really fun spec to play. the vig tacticals are pretty good. and having unremitting built in is a pretty nice bonus.
  2. Does anyone know if the reset on Battle Readiness is proc'd from a killing shot from the wearer or if an enemy that the wearer has damaged dies?
  3. yeah i'd say it works about 50% of the time for me. It might be a case of the animation not showing but damage still applying. I'll keep an eye on it.
  4. Honestly man, desynch will never be fixed. It has been as issue for years. It's one of the reasons I stopped taking PvP in this game seriously.
  5. In addition to the tips already mentioned here, a small thing that helped me a lot when I played ranked 8v8 hard was abusing the **** out of snap shot. It's common practice now and maybe you already do it. But if not, get in the habit of resetting cover.
  6. Ranked 8v8 was the best era in SWTOR PvP. When they took that and the ability to hybrid spec away, a lot of the PvP community left. Match quality was higher because you had those super queues playing against each other, and the solo's in those games either learned to keep up on their own on queued up in groups themselves. The games were competitive. Also, Mercenaries were **** back then which is a nice thing to reminisce about.
  7. Man I've been feeling this way for a long time so it's pretty nice to see someone that shares the same thoughts about MMO PvP game modes as I do. No MMO operates with competitive PvP integrity in mind. Not even Guild Wars 2, a game with an amazing combat system that feels like it was tailor made for PvP. MMO's are not the place for someone looking for a sound PvP game because the game mode is a distant afterthought.
  8. I just can't believe we have someone in here saying "balance" was better in the 4's and 5's. incredible.
  9. it's an mmo and this is typical mmo balance tempo. it won't change.
  10. After playing serenity pretty hard for the last couple weeks in all game modes, the bottom line change that needs to happen with this spec is the Dot lifesteal needs to be increased. The healing you get from Dots is absolutely negligible. I don't know how someone decided that this version of a Dot+sustain spec was satisfactory. The heals are so small they might as well not even be in the game. The serenity strike lifesteal is fine. don't touch that. But the dot healing needs to be increased enough so that DPS shadow players might actually consider playing it over infiltration. If BW is so against increasing serenity sustain that they will not entertain this, then there needs to be an item that extends the range of force breach and force in balance so that the spec can apply its basic dots without having to walk into melee range and getting forced out instantly. Make it so that it will have to determine when it's safe to walk in to use squelch, whirling blow, and serenity strike.
  11. I wonder what's going to happen first, this or BW removing the May 2nd Maintenance Notification from the launcher.
  12. No. Absolutely not. If you want lore, play PvE or turn your PvP toggle on in open world.
  13. or just get rid of gear in pvp all together. each class gets a set of base stats. everyone is happy.
