  1. Hello! I played SWTOR right at launch and lasted right up through the first few months of the cartel market launch before taking a seat for several years. I have a renewed interest in SWTOR and plan on getting back into both PVP and PVE. I am a former "Casuals" Guild member from POT5 which was a contender for top ranked pvp guild across all servers. I main op healer and carnage mara. Unfortunately my primary DPS was pyro PT but that seems to not be a thing any longer . I would love to join up and do PVE/PVP content on a casual/semi-serious level. I no longer have the time I did but still have all the heart. Ignore my signature for now...I'll fix it eventually. Half of my toons had to have name changes upon transferring to Harbinger lol.
  2. I disagree with this statement. If you have an ideal place for end., you can achieve it through mods. Most ACs have a % bonus to mainstat that you spec into anyways, so the loss from bonus healing/bonus damage is really minimal. If anything, you are gaining more crit from the high mainstat mods you decide to use with power on them, and a minimal difference between those and the mods with crit as the high secondary stat. End. = survivability = more dmg overall. The only two AC's I would venture to say could benefit from higher secondary stat all around are shadow/assassin and sentinel/marauder. Powertech/Vanguard can as well depending on your build.
  3. Good summary. There really isn't any reason for people to QQ about the grind if they have multiple toons. I pvp on 12 50s and have most of them in full EWH by now. Just by using this list, you can see which pieces to upgrade first, thus getting the biggest bang for your buck (relics, hilts, and armorings). After this, itemize however you wish through the ways you had to in the days of EWH. It is even easier nowadays with most classes finding what they need in belt/bracers. My powertech took the longest with the 40 power mods residing in the EWH combat tech gloves. My suggestion: put several builds together on Mr. Robot. If you are pressed for time, determine which one is the cheapest and gets you the closest to the stats you wish to have.
  4. I miss old school annihilation so much...faster pred, no damage taken when vanished, higher percent heal back from burns.....such a balanced spec before the nerf!
  5. No point beating this horse to death. We have nothing to prove and we are clearly not this scrub squad nearly everyone on Bastion thinks we are. I want to note that we have never said the members of MVP aren't talented. Any game A-Team vs A-Team I'm sure would be good to watch. Understanding all of the classes, their cooldowns, and how they need to perform to be effective is what makes a team strong. Otto and bodies realizes this and wants to keep queuing on this server with that comp. I respect that and think people should back off until they have played against us.
  6. Faction imbalance would make this event much worse for Republic on almost every server. Hint; you can stealth with gree orbs and NOT lose them. Everyone in a 4 man gets credit for one turn-in....if a fight is commencing in the turn-in area just have someone sneak in and deposit. You have to be interrupted to not get a turn-in. Damage doesn't stop a turn-in.
  7. Psh. There is only one mission being screwed around with that can potentially take forever anyways. If people want to QQ about groups screwing around with people trying to cap, either transfer to a separate instance or do the mission later.
  8. Hats off to those who did and actually geared up on PoT5. Obviously rateds are a completely different scene but I'd be interested to hear their honest opinion of warzones by direct comparison (stat boards are only a small indication of what I'm really looking for....group coordination/proper use of cc/control over a class/communication/ability to recognize and shut down good players/ general map awareness/etc.). I can already say now I'm pretty sure the republic presence on Bastion is probably better. Those of us who originally started Republic on PoT5 who were worth a damn eventually re-rolled to play with better teams (to avoid hate on this line, we did form a team on republic side and do still use those toons to queue but only in a rated setting).
  9. Sorry I lost track of this thread entirely. We downloaded the PTS and xfered toons to hopefully put all of the cross server epeen flexing to rest, but there aren't any plans of rolling on Bastion. Many of us just have too much invested in PoT5 to consider such a transition. I may roll an alt over there to actually see for myself what all of the commotion is about but I have yet to decide which AC to choose.
  10. I'd like to see a wild stallion that is tame...lol. Isn't this like saying "Wandering Stray Jawa"?
  11. Why don't the pubs rally QuinnLynn (sp?) to their cause. #1 PvE Mob oPVP troll US.
  12. I never said it was; I provided pics to illustrate the point that my level of play yields 1200 dps and its naive to claim 1400+ as a powertech. I think the orig. poster had an incredible game and can believe his stats completely. Both of our servers "pvp records" threads are full of a mix of legit and bugged stats. Plain and simple.
  13. A.) Please don't make this argument too easy by saying composition doesn't matter. I guarantee people in your guild would even side with me on this. B.) tank hybrid is a more appropriate definition than DPS....I would absolutely not consider a hybrid jugg wearing dps gear for a dps spot on a team nor would I a hybrid sin. Better in every way? lol
  14. STS etc. on the Fatman said the same thing. Funny how they quit talking and eventually broke up shortly after the merge... Please tell me what composition actually allows a dps sin to be competitive in rateds on a...."good"...server.
