i've heard most voices countless times but i mainly play male so i know nearly every male voice to the T so here goes:
Male Voices
IA: this guy was fantastic he knew exatcly what he was doing cold, cunning with a touch of class and ruthlessness, i've read that people say he's a bit devoid of emotion but he's an agent they're suppose to be like that so for me, he was spot.
SW: this guy was very good he has a smugness about himself, he's very "above" everybody else in his manner of talking, very stern but can be funny( like when he makes jokes about Baras) some DS lines he did were okay but he doesnt have a particular thing in his voice to make him sound evil he can do cold and emotionless but not evil and i dont really play LS so maybe he's better that way.
SI: this guy, IMO, gets a bad rap, for me he is everything a Malequsitor should be he's very sarcastic but can sound ruthless and he has a unique way of saying his lines, like they're full of hate of malice or something. I know he can sound very bored at times but you got to remember he's an inqusitor why should he lower himself to do work a grunt could do its downgrading and its not very hard so he would sound very bored, IMO atleast
BH: haven't really played but from what i have he sounds very husky and deep, like hes gonna put a batmask on and protect gotham or something.
JK: again haven't really played but he does it well and i'd expect him to be good after all he played solid snake.
JC: Nolan North is a fantastic VA and he is great as the JC i can't really remember half his dialogue cos i hated the JC story, so i kinda dazed through most of it.
SM: the male smuggler is possibly the funniest VA in the game there were some lines he said that had me in stiches and he's really good at being a womanizer and a egomaniac(well mine anyway)
TR: havent even rolled a trooper because that class has never really interested me but when i rolled a SM my brother rolled a TR and i gotta say he does do it justice but his voice doesn't really suit DS, IMO.
Female Voices
IA: from what i've heard ingame she is the best female VA playable in the game, IMO, if i was to roll a female Imperial it would be an agent she is on par with the male though as i said as i prefer the male VA because well i am male and it's an RPG and I've never been attracted to the thought of role playing a women before unless it affected story which i think TOR does in someway so i will be very soon.
SW: she has a very tough voice but not in a manly way she does female lightsaber wielding, froce choking killing machine very well without sounding like some sort of manbeast, and she does the DS much better that the male that im certain of.
SI: maybe its because i enjoy the male soo much that i find the female voice soo distasteful, when i've heard her actually speak lines ingame i imagine her going mwahahaha turning into a puff of smoke and tranforming into a dragon only to have a prince ride in and save the day. She puts a lot of emphasis into her lines and because of that she sounds like a run-of-the-mill disney villian not a powerful wielder of the force she doesn't even sound insane she sounds silly infact she reminds me of the witch from troll two.
BH: i am a huge fan of grey delisle i think she is a wonderful VA and from what little i've heard she does it well unfortunatly i hardly meet femhunters so i can't have an opinion but she did play mandy from billy and mandy and she was the coldest most evil little girl i've ever seen on tv (maybe apart from mara chaffee from Village of the damned but she wasn't human) so from greys history she should be able to pull it off.
JK: i have yet to meet a femknight as i traveled with my brothers JK and we dont like traveling with the same classes
JC: same as above
SG: from what little i've heard she, like the male, can pull of being a wisecracking, carefree, flirt without sounding to cheesy or forceful.
TR: this is possibly the only pub female voice i've heard in great detail and that's because i tried to rush my JC and had a femtroop help me through some of it and i must say it is the funniest female voice but for all the wrong reasons, it sounds very forced like she tried to americanise vasquez from aliens. Jen tries to sound like a total female ****** just like vasquez but utterly fails and is, IMO, the worst of the female VA in the game not because Jens a bad VA it just sounds very forced and not natural at all and the way she she speaks some of the lines has me in fits of laughter
IMO the empire is much more superior in terms of VA but i wouldn't blame that on the actors themselves i just think the pubs scripts might not be as good as the empires. I wasnt really critical but thats because i didnt think the voice acting was that terrible in the mmo genre which is usually laughable and corny though i am sure many people would disagree with me about this whole wall of text:rolleyes:.
