  1. If you're talking about the class stories, then this is me. Exactly me. If you're not then I love the class stories. Some are better than others, like anything subjective, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth playing through especially to see how it all ties together. I would love to experience the BH story, the Trooper story, and finally finish the Agent story. I just don't want to do the filler grindy stuff. If I could, I'd run total LS and total DS class stories to see the differences. I played Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 multiple times just to experience different choices. Try that here and (without the 200 percent bonus xp) and you'd be here multiple months/years. How about this...If you have a 50 and are a subscriber, then the rest of your characters get the 200 (or even better, 300 percent ) xp bonus. Deal? DEAL.
  2. With a 50 Sentinel, 50 Shadow, 50 Marauder, 50 Gunslinger, I was really loving the double XP on my Assassin and Sniper. No more need of tedious and boring planetary side missions I've done over and over. This is the way the game should be, in my opinion. Main story and picking and choosing planetary/FP/WZ when you feel like it. After having an absolute blast with my Sin and Sniper over the weekend, I don't even want to log in now. Just feels like a grind. Guess I'll just wait for the weekend
  3. Which is too bad, because the xp gain is awesomely fun. It's interesting the people that don't like it. I love getting to 50 via the class story. I hate having to do the same terrible side/planet quests to get there or repeatedly run the same FPs over and over. And here's the thing - power leveling to 50 is only one side of the coin, you still have to have the cr to buy the skills. The class quests aren't enough to fund that. If you want to run all the planetary quests on your way to 50? Have at it. If you want to run the class quest only to 50 and have a means to support the cr need? Have at it. Why are some people so intent on holding back others?
  4. Hiya Jedi Covenant - A recent transplant/returning player from Jung Ma here, having recently rolled an Assassin and gotten it to level 14. Not married to the Sith side and not opposed to rolling a Republic character and going from there. What I'm looking for is a medium sized guild, composed of older players (I'm 39), that typically has the most activity after 8pm CST (alternatively, if enough interest is around to start such a guild, I'd be interested in that as well). What I hope to avoid: 1) We have 300 members! (But 4 people are online during primetime) 2) Go here and fill out a (job) application where your online fate will be decided by a group of 18-20 year olds. This is after you go through the screening, fill out whether or not you would give a purple away and why, make x number of posts on the guild forums, then you get moved to recruit, then you get membership, then you get a spot in the raid team as a 3rd teamer, blah blah blah. And seriously: VOIP interviews? SERIOUSLY? 3) Guilds that recruit for roles, rather than people 4) Guilds that take the game way too seriously What I hope to find: 1) A guild with 10-20 people online during primetime 2) A guild that treats it like a game rather than a second job / wife / husband 3) Can handle occasional offcolor language and/or jokes (Litmus test for those actually reading the thread: If you send me a PM (or make a post in this thread) with a link to your forums asking me to fill out an application, I'll know you didn't actually read the thread) I'm a loosy goosy kind of guy. I'm far from serious SERIOUS, but am serious about having fun - joking around in guild chat, vent/ts/whatever, helping others, using 'newb' as a term of endearment. An application doesnt define a person and you can't even begin to scratch the surface as to who they are. A guild invite, imho, should basically be: hey whats up, we have similar interests! want to join? if so, cool, if not, good luck. If we dont like you, we can boot you, and if you don't like us, you can deguild and go on your merry way! peace out!
  5. Yup. Usually 55-65ms ping, today, it's skyrocketing over 100K. Awesome.
  6. I can't help but think that if you have to make a blog post explaining how the LFG tool works, chances are you've over engineered the crap out of it.

To sum up the whining: People need to quit playing their class as if it's pre-1.2.
  8. That guy was part of weird class quest where you had to leave some planet, return to the fleet, talk to him wherein he gave you some piddly reward (with no convo), then you had to go back to your ship to use your holonet thing. He's always been there. This is not the vendor we're looking for.
  9. Stay in the tree to the top; don't veer off to anything else until you have 31 points in Watchman. Grow an extra hand to help deal with the spammy nature of it - Combat is ALOT more straightforward and less buttony.
  10. I leveled exclusively by PvP and main story quests, with flashpoints thrown in on the rare occasion. I leveled up Artiface to keep my two sabers updated and relied on guild mates to send me might mods from cybertech and being lucky on the GTN. Sadly, the comm vendors don't help you much even if you did partake in all the side quests/farmed comms somewhere. Most comm equipment vendors are short of might mods or they're 1-2 levels below compared to everything else. Itemization for the Sentinel/Marauder is absofreakinglutely terrible. So much so, it almost breaks the class during the leveling curve. If you're going tank guardian, it's not an issue. But if you're going DPS guardian, you're in the same boat as the Sentinel - lack of might mods/enhancements. Hell, even the reward stuff for Sentinel has guardian mods
  11. AH. OK. Gotcha. Can anything live through three straight attack "rotations" to get the 3 stacks of Annihilator? Seems more like a boss PvE thing.
  12. Do you mean 3 stacks of Deadly Saber? 3 stacks of Juyo? If it's 3 stacks of DS, then it doesn't matter if it's the 3rd stack or the 1st. The bleed is the same. Or am I reading you wrong? Now, 3 stacks of Juyo? Hell yeah. if you can hit 5 stacks plus Annihlate, that's some damage.
  13. Not the greatest logic, but it's there. What he's not so eloquently stating and inferring is that a) damage total is padded by hitting tanks backed by healers and b) anyone with a competent pocket healer working with them will put up insane damage numbes. And that's what people don't get when they say 'rofl sent/mara is fine!'. They're ignoring the fact they run with premades, they're ignoring the fact they have pocket healers, they're ignoring the fact they have much better gear than those they're facing. Posting 'lol i did 600k damage in a wz l2play baddies' threads is disengenious at the very least, and generally just looking for 'ZOMG YOU'RE AWESOME TELL ME YOUR SPEC' posts.
