  2. True. Taris was created by Bioware but then it became ingrained into canon by Dark Horse and stories about the Padawan Massacre and the Covenant.
  3. Good question actually but there are other places throughout the galaxy that train Jedi - academies, enclaves, chapterhouses, etc.
  4. "The Jedi Peacekeepers specialize in security and policing, and are among the oldest groups recognized by the Order. Though all of them are fine warriors, they do not normally serve as frontline combat troops and are instead trained in crowd control, apprehending suspects and shutting down threats before things can turn violent. At the request of planetary governors, peacekeepers are stationed on Republic worlds, where they work as liasons to local law enforcement and militias." The Jedi Peacekeepers is a light Roleplaying (RP)/Player vs. Environment (PvE) guild in Star Wars: The Old Republic on The Ebon Hawk server. Player vs. Player (PvP) is also welcome but the focus of the Jedi Peacekeepers is to help, not only the members of the guild, but also other players who need support. Members are those who enjoy volunteering for pick-up-groups (PUGs), flashpoints, etc. to not only benefit themselves but also those who are requesting help. However, it is also a desire to support enthusiastic roleplayers that do both in-game and forum-based RP, dedicated raiders that schedule and host operations, and PVPers. The goal is to create a strong and respected guild with a family oriented community that promotes fun, respect, and courtesy. We strive for quality and not quantity within our ranks and view each member as an asset to the guild and to the community of The Ebon Hawk server. Members of the Jedi Peacekeepers are expected to display a level of values such as; Honor, Respect, Discipline, and Trust. It is important that the interaction between members and other players and guilds are positive. The reputation of guild is important and is to be honored. What do we Offer? A guild with the focus of its members A Jedi ranking system Master and Padawan system that benefits both Master and Padawan and promotes growth within the guild Ceremonies and recognition Roleplay forum lessons and discussion regarding canon and Jedi lore The Jedi Peacekeepers' Facility Library that houses records and knowledge about the Order and of the sect A supportive, friendly, and helpful community Who can Join? Anyone. If you have a Light oriented Jedi, like the concept, and think that this might be something that you will enjoy, then you are welcome to join. Send Shu-Jin any questions and visit the Jedi Peacekeepers to learn more.
  5. and how long did it take us in AoC to replace the burlap bags?
  6. I think it needs to be a little bit more obvious. Star Wars World of Warcraft - NO Everquest - NO Age of Conan - NO Warhammer - NO Guild Wars 2 - NO
  7. Same. I love some the low level stuff and wish that they would be orange in higher levels.
  8. Okay, this is neat. I'll say this and looks like to be fun but really? I would have liked to have seen the glitch during Esseles where you fall through the floor on the bridge on the Imp ship fixed. I would have liked to have seen other Jedi gear with hoods up and down and without shoulder pads. I would have liked to have seen different gear for all classes. I would have liked to have seen diiferent weapon models and hilts. I would have liked to have seen more character customization as a whole. I would have liked to have seen an appearance tab. I would have liked to have seen our companions stop bending over unaturally when we're under or above them. I would have liked to have seen when we dissmiss our companions that they don't come back unless we call them.
  9. I agree. I was hoping to be able to choose different last names for my characters.
  10. And the only way to get into the Jedi Order is to be Force sensitive and discovered by a Jedi. There is no way to say that the iconic skills used by Jedi around the Battle of Yavin are different than those used by Jedi during this time. The modern lightsaber that is used during this time is the same used 3,000 years from now and it was created roughly a 1,000 years ago. Push, pull, speed, jump and lightsaber combat are essentially the iconic skills. From that it depends if you're more of a healer, fighter, or dimplomat.
  11. I haven't read through the whole thread. I can understand to some level on not able to communicate between factions but what about guilds that have both factions? We can't even create a channel that works between both.
