  1. Can anyone help? I got this drop (Valorous Sentry Elite Vest) for my Sentinel way back on Kaas City server...I thought it was during a Heroic...I'm re-rolling a Sentinel on Eban Hawk...Most sites have the item listed...But I can't find any info on the drop, which Heroic, or the NPC???... Ideas? Thanks in advance...
  2. Always run as admin... Other suggestion did not work... Still can't Log In...Never had a problem with this game before...I never crash...ever...First time since launch I've had a problem like this...
  3. Pretty much sums it up for me...But especially the 1st point...No flame here at all...I think you nailed it...
  4. And you would be 100% correct...Problem is what you're mainly dealing with around here are elitist gamers who will soon be wondering why they are all by their lonesome on a failing game while they cling to their "you're just not good, or skilled enough," mantra. This is basically the same-type arguments that split the SWG Community so many years ago...It's the elitist hardcore players vs. the casual, or I guess, non-hardcore crowd...And I've already seen the way this ends...The hardcore crowd is 100 times more vocal and more insistent that they are right...So they will win...And they will be playing all by their lonesome...On a game that failed to meet expectations or the needs of the majority of their subscribers... The whole "subjective fun" argument is hilarious! I can promise that if folks are not having fun, they quit...Period, end of conversation...And in order to have fun you HAVE to WIN a lot more than you lose...Simple is it not? So...Those people who get to CL 50, do their daily stuff to gear up a bit, then get completely wiped by the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Boss they come across in HM Flashpoints, Corellia 4 man heroic, and Operations...Well...They are not having fun...And they absolutely do quit...They all quit...And they quit because it's not freaking fun to get wiped with your friends over and over and over again... The problem is not having challenging end game content that should require the best gear...Every successful game has it...The problem is this game has no progression...The content is there with Operations and HM Flashpoints...But there is no obvious progression to make the climb to the top more FUN...This whole idea that these gamers are not good enough to complete content...well...it's impossible to describe how ludicrous and elitist that opinion is...The ones I know that have quit this game, for this very reason, certainly had no problems holding up their end in other games we played together over the past decade of MMO gaming...And it's not their problem regardless, it's BioWare's job to make it accomplish-able, within reason, if they want the Sub money from these players...But this...This is beyond anything I've ever seen...It's just not fun...It's not a matter of qq-ing or any of that crap...It's not seeing the clear and do-able path to the better gear, and not feeling heroic whatsoever in a RPG-type game...That is a 100% deal-breaker...There is no progression of boss-types...It's a terribly poorly designed end game and SUPER lazy boss development (immunity to everything...lol)...Not to mention the easiest way to gear up is through PvP on a PvE Server...That really went over great in my Guild! Thanks BioWare!!! There actually IS a reason some Guilds chose a PvE Server you know...Well maybe you don't know...And that is the problem... All I know is this...My Guild planned for this Game since before the announcement (there were plenty of rumors by that time) ...All the way back in 2007 while we were still on SWG...We started with 25 at launch and now we have 4...maybe 5 that are still playing...The main complaints I hear are no fun end Game content that we can do as a Guild and accomplish (wiped WAY too much by Bosses in Ops, and HM Flashpoints)...And the feeling of being forced to PvP for end game gear...Now I'm not saying we are the greatest and most skilled Guild out there, because clearly were not...But we did exhaust a TON of endgame content in SWG and LOTRO together...So clearly we do not suck...But what you elitists fail to realize is...It does not matter...We should be good enough to do some things together so we can work our way up to the big stuff...And I'm not talking about boring *** daily's...Not for $15 a month...And at the end of the day, when all us crappy gamers quit, you elitists will be all by your lonesome...And there will be NO new development because there is not enough money coming in...And we'll all be playing, and paying for, another MMO where the Devs get it... And if you don't think this is a MAJOR contributing factor to the massive population drop we've seen over the past couple months well...I got nothing more for you...Because you're never gonna get it... /endrant
  5. No...Too many reasons right now to list them all...But more than anything end-game is geared towards PvP instead of PvE... Especially for small to medium sized Guilds...Even on a PvE Server which to me is mind-boggling...I've always felt my Guild is a great test group for a games eventual outcome...And I'm already seeing it effect my Guild with Folks quitting...I hate it because there are many things I love abut this Game... Oh and the cost of everything is ridiculous...It's a joke and a HUGE complaint I hear constantly... The thing I hear most is "Why does BioWare want me to be broke on a Game I'm paying for...I'm already broke in RL."
  6. THANK YOU! One of the poorest thought out sinks in the history of MMO Gaming! I actually have to pay to remove my own mods that I either earned or ALREADY paid for... Ridiculous design...One of the single dumbest things about this Game...Definitely Top 5... There is not a single person in my Guild that has not complained about this...Not one...
  7. Oh wow! I could not possibly agree more! You hit the nail directly on the head!...I've been hearing it for weeks now in my Guild and it's not good...Why did we choose a PvE Server when we're being forced into PvP for endgame gear? I literally had 3 Guildies last night tell me they were not having fun at all PvPing, but they felt it's what they had to do in order to get the gear necessary to run high end PvE content...They love the Game, but they're not having fun PvPing...Folks who are not having fun are not going to last...They are PvE Players...It's a BIG problem... BioWare got this whole thing back-asswards for PvE Players, and in a few Months there is going to be a mass exodus unless they fix it fast! You can count on it...
  8. I would simply like to see a clear, reasonable, and well thought out PvE Path towards good end-game gear that does not require PvPing whatsoever...This is a HUGE point of contention in my Guild currently...We have plenty of Folks who PvP...Some that like it (well...they like the Open World PvP at least)...But we all want to know why we are on a PvE Server yet the clear path towards end-game gear is PvP content?...Not that there is not a PvE path currently...But 4 of us tried Essels on hard Mode and got wiped by the Bosses in record time...And our Gear was as good as it can get when you're a fresh CL 50 and you've made a few Ilum and Belsalvis daily runs...We are not amateurs, we are career MMO Gamers...But this is a bit ridiculous...We very much like this Game and want to see it continue to grow...But if they don't REALLY step up the PvE end-game progression for top gear there is going to be a huge problem in a few Months...You can mark that down and take it straight to the bank... Like I said...We wanted to play on a PvE Server for a reason...
  9. There are no words to describe how much I LOVE this idea...I would also like to see it tiered so if two people want to go one brings 2 companions the other brings 3...etc...But I love, love, love this idea...
  10. What are your plans to improve the way in which PvE Players get end-game equipment? I'm talking about end-game equipment that is equally effective to PvP end-game equipment...I talked to another Guild Leader yesterday and he said Hard Modes are virtually impossible without 2nd Tier PvP equipment...So you need PvP equipment to do PvE content on a PvE Server? Because believe me that is the way some Folks are understanding it...Why is it that My Guild and I chose a PvE Server (for a reason) and right down to the last man we feel we are being forced into PvP to get the gear so we can run Hard Modes, Operations, etc?
  11. Just wanted to chime in real quick and say this thread helped me greatly with some of the advice I read here...especially from the OP...I was having a ridiculously tough time with my Sent...I was using the Focus tree and I sucked...lol...So I read through this advice and re-speced to Watchman...Used my burns and kicks like crazy and I was destroying everything no problem...Including Elites...Barely even used Stasis...Did the final Czerka Quest on Tat and mowed through it...Used Kira and NO DEATHS!!!...None...I was blown away at how much easier it was...Still not as easy as Trooper or most of the other Classes...But easy enough...Huge difference...Thanks!...
  12. 100% true... I went into this Game (and Beta) wanting to play Jedi Sentinel first and foremost...Then I played all the Classes and LOVED Trooper, BH and, Sith Inq...The Sentinel just feels weak in comparison...I'm going to continue to play My JS and hope for the best...But I feel it's gimped and I can't believe I'm playing another SW game with a less than desirable Light Side Jedi...Do these Devs not get it?...Seriously...
  13. My Spec is almost identical...And I agree 100%... My gear is REAL good...We're a Crafting Guild so that part is top notch...Totally agree about the interrupts...It's just little tweaks that are needed...But in comparison to My Trooper (especially after you get Elara) and BH, Sentinal is REAL tough...I mean...It's like night and day...Anyone who says different is just full of it...T-7 is not a great Tank even geared up, and Kira is WAY too squishy when it comes to Golds...And neither one heals...Compare that to what BH and Trooper get companion wise and...It's really not even close...
  14. Should note I was in regular Beta and had little to no problem, especially on Tython...Though this is the same type of spiking many were dealing with at the end of Taris...Run for 5 seconds...stop...run again...stop...etc...It locked up My Comp today once...My graphics are also flashing at times...Really going crazy in the 1st Cave on Tython and in Character Creation......I'm running Nvidia 275's in SLI...This was by far the worst day I had performance wise after many, many days of Beta...
  15. Same issue...Vista 64 as well...REAL bad at times...
