Stupid Loot system
Humble replied to Madnutter's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
What kills me about this loot system is that master looter should be exactly what it's been in other games. I would like to control who gets the loot from the operation. Last night, the first boss gave me the headpiece. I already have one. The other two inquisitors don't have it. Why the **** would I take it? Great, so now I have a DPS piece for my healer. That's the dumbest **** ever. -

You crazy Europeans... -
I concur. The legacies do not seem to be linked across servers.

Nice grammar. Learn proper sentences and try again.

An excellent write up. Great work dude! (Please sticky)

You're going to cancel your sub over a single quest? Really?

Read the "Alacrity as a Healer" post in this same forum area and there's a good write up about what stats are best for the end game content once you ding 50. There is a lot of information coming up that shows Power is more important than originally thought.
-
That sir, is awesome. You've broken it down perfectly for me to understand how the stats directly affect the heals. From that information alone, I think a lot of people should be able to create the type of healer they want or need to be. I've been skipping the power stats because I've been focusing more on Crit, Surge and Alacrity. While I knew Power helped, people have down played it so much on the forums. But math does not lie. Great work dude! And thank you.

Dungeon Finder System Eventually
Humble replied to Ohnoto's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
I wonder if using a dungeon finder would actually allow people to join the flashpoints without have the bug issue so they could actually do them. -
The party leader must reset
Humble replied to deserttfoxx's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
While that workaround probably works, that is completely ridiculous for people to perform to get into a flashpoint, especially when pugging. People come and go all of the time and are constantly passing the bad flashpoint around. A single FP should not affect another FP. When we're going into Black Talon, that should be the only thing the system is checking for, not all flashpoints and operations. In addition, when I invite someone, their status in a flashpoint should not be passed to me. The system should just take the leader's status on the flashpoint and go, and reset if necessary. Again, this is so *********** stupid I don't understand why there is no update on it. It literally ****ed up the ability for a group of us to play last night and try to fix it. After spending an hour on it, we gave up and I just logged because it was a complete waste of time. I appreciate the post on this workaround, but I'm not doing all of that work to get a group of four people into a flashpoint. -
The party leader must reset

This is really *********** annoying. Just fix this please. -
I checked out some on the market but they all seem to be the same. It doesn't seem to make any sense.

When I got to artificer 400, I pretty much went cross-eyed when I saw the list of the enhancement 22s listed and had a hard time figuring out what did what. I decided to put it into a spreadsheet and share. I then noticed a big problem. While there are a lot of names, a LOT of these have another enhancement with a different name that does the EXACT same thing! For example, the Acute Enhancement 22 provides a +28 Accuracy Rating, +19 Critical Rating, and a +13 Endurance. The Intensity Enhancement 22...uhhh...does the same thing? Just the one right? Nope! 30 enhancements of the 48 total are pairs. Meaning, those 30 enhancements are actually only 15 unique stat sets. As an artificer, I see no reason to attempt to learn the blue or purple patterns for Acute and Intensity. They do the same thing. The same for Wily and Assault, and Studious and Proficient, and it goes on. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvJCAxtFY1wKdGlCcjE1bmxjRTN1aGMycmRXQ3l0ZUE Also, for all of you force tanks, check out Skirmish and Reflective Enhancements. So Skirmish gives +28 Shield Rating, +19 Critical Rating and +13 Endurance, but Reflective gives all of that AND +19 Power! Cost difference to make? None. Really devs? Did Bioware mean to make these Light and Dark requirements but forgot to put it in? I checked the purple and blue versions for some and they have no light/dark requirements so as far as I can tell, there's no difference between them. Bioware - I put in a ticket about this cause there has to be something missing.

I think that Rift had some very good points and I played that game up until swtor, so about eight months. It really doesn't have a story that I could get behind but I would state that the character talent system was fun and did offer a lot of flexibility. That game was almost like level one character to 50 but getting a bunch of different roles. I mean five different talent tree specs is pretty insane and to respec never charged more than the first you did it so you can really play around. I don't at all agree that Rift is a wow-clone because the playstyle wasn't the same and mechanics haven't changed since EQ1. Don't stand in the stupid. Easy. But Rift raiding sucked and the complete lack of creativity for the first two raids was incredibly poor. Wow was great and all but I'm bored with it to death so it's not a bad game, it's just old to me and playing it is like going to work. Swtor is a good start and I think you're either a fan of it or hate it. I personally like it a lot but the genre is also pulling a lot of the weight on that. The story is great and the flashpoints have been fun but of course they will get boring in a month. I haven't seen the raids yet so I can't comment. Honestly I'm waiting for Guild Wars 2 and it's been looking good thus far. However, if I had my wish, I'm really waiting for the next great sandbox game. In the MMO universe, you should be allowed to do almost anything and if you put a good story, combat and world around it, I don't see how that wouldn't succeed.

After just getting my artificer up to 400 the other day, I purchased the schematics from the trainer to make the orange and yellows, which are interestingly blue level quality. There is no green level for them and the minimum to use was level 47. You also get the red, green and blue schematics but they are learned at the green quality and you have to RE them to get the blues and then purples. Good luck!
