  1. I don't necessarily want free transfers. There's nothing wrong with the server that my Jedi Guardian is on. The people are generally friendly, the queues are reasonable, and I have no problem with it... except for the fact that I joined a guild on my friends invitation and that guild is on another server. I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks to transfer my established character over, even if it means giving up something (like my Legacy name or progress)
  2. I'm really liking some of the ideas I see here. Rolling Riposte into a passive skill would be nice because right now I just never use it. I've got too much other stuff to manage that is more effective. Maybe limit it to Soresu form (or make it better in Soresu form) as a way of balancing it out and also being thematically appropriate. I also like the idea of Opportune/Pommel Strike being an add-on effect of Strike itself. It cuts down on the rather ridiculous amount of very situational abilities and makes Strike more than just a boring filler focus-builder. Freezing Force being added to Force Sweep would be excellent, but I think it'd be better built into Cyclone Slash. Because right now both Freezing Force and Cyclone Slash are really pretty bad. Combining them would make one solid and useful ability out of two mediocre ones.
  3. This. Exactly this. A "button for every situation" design philosophy is not the way to go and that's the way the class feels and plays right now. I spend more time paying attention to my toolbars and monitoring cooldowns than I do actually watching the game I'm playing. Playing a Knight shouldn't necessarily be a 3 button affair, but some consolidation of abilities and clearing away the fluff would go a long way towards making the class more fun to play. Playing the class shouldn't be challenging. The content you're playing is where difficulty should be.
  4. I have a lot of similar problems. Using Force Stasis on many mobs will see them bouncing up (where it's supposed to be) and down (attacking me, where it's not supposed to be). It's really frustrating. If I Force Push someone, they often get a final parting shot or tick of a channeled ability at me before the Push takes effect.
  5. Taral V is in the 32-34 range. 20 levels is a long time between good, story driven flashpoints, but it was really nice to do. It's still IMO not as good as the Esseles, but it's close and a huge step up from the others in between.
  6. I agree with the OP. After doing Esseles in beta/live and Black Talon in beta, I was super excited to see what other flashpoints were like. And although they've been mechanically well done for the most part, they've been a letdown from a story standpoint. There's some really good premises there, some great potential stories, but they just were not executed well. The Hammer Station trailer, for example, makes it seem like it's an epic action movie in the making, but you have one choice (without any associated dialogue) in the middle and it's otherwise some guy berating you over a PA system as you clear packs of enemies and fight bosses that don't seem to have a great deal of purpose besides just being there for you to kill. Same for Cademimu. Athiss wasn't much better, nor was Mandalorian Raiders. Taral V is the first flashpoint I've done since the Esseles that actually felt close to what I'd expected from all flashpoints, based on what the Esseles and Black Talon were like.
  7. Man, I agree with this so much. Too many skills, many of them limited to a narrow range of situations, and I'd like to see some of them folded into one another. The class right now feels like it's complicated for the sake of looking complex, not because it needs to be. I think a lot of people would find the class easier and more fun if some of the redundancies were sorted.
  8. Got him on my 4th try. Vigilance spec, level 35. And even then it was close. I'm really sick of the animation bugs that delay my abilities.
  9. I've had the same problem. I think Force Sweep in particular is really prone to it, but I've had other abilities kind of double-clutch in the same manner. Blade Storm is another frequent and frustrating offender. It almost feels like pushback on a channeled ability, but that's clearly not the case given that a lot of these abilities are instant use.
