  1. Yes, while it sucks, it wouldn't be that valuable anyway.
  2. Being a geared tank is never as important as having geared DPS or a geared healer for hard modes (with the exception of the optional boss in Kaon most likely). As others have said, do the level 50 dailies on Belsavis and Ilum, in particular the heroic missions to get the ilvl 50 epic mods. Also do the pvp dailies and use the pvp commendations to replace your worst pieces of gear. As for the crafted items, definitetly try to obtain two 'Veracity Nano-Optic Response Implant [Mastercraft]' and a 'Veracity Galactic Combat Module [Mastercraft]'. The mastercraft (critted) versions will have an augment slot and are worth the high cost (~100-150k each on my server). Use the artifact (purple) 'Advanced Absorb Augment 22' in the augment slots, the prices on these varies alot but I can get them for around ~20-30k on my server. Since you just hit level 50 you probably don't have heaps of credits to spare, but once you start doing the dailies they'll start rolling in. Aside from that, if you have biochem already, try making the Rakata Fortitude Stim as soon as possible (though you do need to complete a hard mode to obtain the Biometric Crystal Alloy required). If you have another crewskill I'd highly recommend dropping it as soon as you've crafted whatever useful piece it can make (critted rakata belt/bracers for Armormech, and critted moddable blaster rifle for Armstech).
  3. Either way the ratios stay the same, just replace the Defence stat with Absorption, it's still 9.5% compared to the other mods.
  4. The other day I was checking out Guardian gear on the vendors and noticed their 'mods' have alot higher defence stat than equivalent Trooper gear. Seems that there's a varying ratio of stat distribution unique to each class and Trooper Tanks get the one with the least amount of tanking stats. Stat distribution: 'Reinforced' Shadow/Assassin tanking mod Willpower 32.5% Endurance 42.1% Defence . 25.4%'Elusive' Guardian/Juggernaut tanking mod Strength .42.1% Endurance 25.4% Defence . 32.5%'Deflecting' Vanguard/Powertech tanking mod Aim . . . 54.0% Endurance 32.5% Defence . 9.5%(yes, the Trooper stats don't add up to 100% because Aim is so heavily stacked there's less points to distribute compared to the other mods) Why is Aim stacked so high on the Trooper mods? I would rather have the ratios of the Force class mods or at least the option for them to be obtainable if I wanted to get them.
  5. Yes, there's diminishing returns every 2000 points in affection. I think the best rank 1 gifts (best cost/affection ratio) give 97 affection each between 0-2000, 47 affection 2000-4000 and 19 affection 4000-6000. I'm unsure after that. What I did was give my companions gifts every 30 seconds upto ~6000 as soon as I got them, and got them the rest of the way by switching to them before starting a NPC conversation.
  6. All servers available at the start of early access had guilds assigned to them. The Oceanic players weren't going to just sit around waiting for Bioware to open up a new shard and then start playing. The Oceanic players would have loved for Bioware to set aside a shard specificly for them, but we don't always get what we want.
  7. Medium during the first wave. Full during the second wave. http://www.swtor.com/server-status Also, a public Steam group for Swiftsure has been set up for any interested PvPers.
  8. Hi all, I'm not associated with the Ahazi chain, but I set up a public Steam group for Swiftsure earlier today if any of you folks want to join up.
